5 out of 5 eggsSilent, Removable Blades

Pros: Fan is dead silent inside my case, I am not overclocking so I don't need to move a ton of air. I use this as an exhaust fan and it's working perfectly. Blades can be removed, this makes cleaning a breeze.

Cons: Doesn't move a ton of air, but this is to be expected. Read the specs.

Other Thoughts: Wish they made a PWM version that can spin at a higher RPM if needed. They have a 120mm version of the fan that does this, but so far no 140mm. Enermax are you listening? :)

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Voltage Controlled, Works Horizontally

Pros: This is really quiet and seems to move enough air as an exhaust fan in a quiet computer. It doesn't move a ton of air, but it's really quiet and what's another degree celcius for a quiet computer?

I have a positive pressure setup aimed at reasonable quietness while being able to move enough air to keep the innards from melting during that rare `make -j12'.

I'm using it on the top of the case vent and it is silent at low or high speed. Using fancontrol, it's set to idle at around 280RPM and ramp up to full speed (~800RPM) if the chipset says the cpu is +10C over ambient. It is not noticeable over the other already quiet (the furnace fan is louder than the entire machine) case fans, but the cpu temp drops just a bit more when the fan is at full throttle. I see no reason a normal person wouldn't just run it at a single speed.

I'd list it as a con that it won't spin up initially without being jolted with full force for a few seconds and stops when given less than 40% power, but it wasn't supposed to be voltage controllable anyway. So, a pro: you can actually vary the speed between 250RPM or so and full speed. I do it, but I'm not sure there's really any advantage.

Cons: nil
