The ENERMAX ETS-T40-BK CPU cooler employs a unique TCC (Thermal Conductive Coating) to create better velocity of thermal transference and prevents oxidation on the contact surface. It delivers world leading thermal resistance performance of 0.085°C/W thanks to the combination of three smart innovations: Stack Effect Flow, Vortex Generator Flow, and Vacuum Effect Flow. Its four 0.6mm high-performance heat pipes with HDT (Heatpipe Direct Touch) ensure rapid thermal conduction and eliminate CPU hotspots. The ETS-T40-BK also comes with one 12cm Twister Bearing PWM fan with an operating range of 800RPM to 1800RPM. Plus, the ETS-T40-BK feature a universal bracket that is compliant with most Intel and AMD sockets, including Intel’s 4th Generation processors.

5 out of 5 eggsoh wow

Pros: This is a beautiful heat sink. The blue color is perfect for my case. The black finish over the copper fins looks fantastic. Included in the box were 2 extra fan brackets that allowed me to add an extra fan to the opposite side that would exhaust air. Setup was not to hard. I've never had an aftermarket heat sink so I just read the instructions pretty close. The instructions weren't to bad. some decent pictures and decent wording made it pretty easy to install.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It's only been a day but it looks beautiful. I've been playing a lot of mine craft lately, Which is a very CPU intensive game and since switching over to this heat sink. Temps are hovering around 28 - 30 degrees C, and still super quite. The old stock heat sink would be whining and hover around 50C. Great buy.

System Specs

AMD FX-8320 AM3+ 3.5 GHz
ASUS M5A97 R2.0
16 GB memory
250 GB SSD
GTX 550 TI :/ I know. Its next on the list to be upgraded!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler, amazing results.

Pros: Easy installation on a LGA 1155 M-ATX motherboard. Lowered my idle temp on a i7-2600k to 26 c and I was able to overclock to 4.4 GHZ with a full load temp of 72c after 5 hours of Prime95. Normally through out playing games my average temperatures are around 48-52c. I would highly recommend this cooler.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: This is a great cooler for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsAir cooler that works fine

Pros: Looks very cool. OC my fx6300 3.6ghz to 4.5ghz idles at 33-38c run prime95 and it gets about 71c. Under full load with games like BF4 and Dragon Age Inquisition it tops at about 61c and that's all I need it to do.

Cons: Only comes with one fan. I went out and got another fan for push pull combo. You might need low profile memory sticks to get the 1st slot.

Other Thoughts: Now if only my GPU ran this cool.

5 out of 5 eggsEnermax ETS-T40-BK Black 120mm Twister

Pros: Looks great, works fantastic, BLUE LED!

Cons: its big.

Other Thoughts: really like this heatsink. It looks great and keeps the cpu cool. I got a little scared when i installed it and realized how large it was. It almost came in contact with the fan i have on my windowed case. The ambient fan noise doesnt bother me. I dont think its too loud.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Cooler

Pros: Looks amazing. Best LED fan out there, and the black heatsink looks slick. Great cooling performance, although I didn't push it to its limits.

Cons: Heatsink is millimeters away from bumping into the top of the Cooler Master case I used. Needless to say, no room for top case fans when this is installed. This is the fault of the case, though. Just saying, the heatsink is wide.

4 out of 5 eggsCould use a bit more ram clearance

Pros: - Looks great with black metal fins
- Silent fan with lots of great blue LEDs

Cons: - Somewhat complicated installation - identifying the correct holes on the mounting bracket was not obvious
- Fan didn't clear my RAM that had a cooling fin. I was able to move the fan slightly higher by half an inch to make room.

Other Thoughts: Tall RAM cooling fins may be an issue for the fan on this CPU cooler, so be sure to measure ahead of time. It would be nice if the company had designed for this since high performance CPU coolers are likely to go next to RAM with tall head spreaders. Otherwise great price, great looks, and solid fan.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good price. Keeps cpu at normal temperatures for moderate use. Easy to install.

Cons: Just a little to tall (3mm) for a standard mid tower case. This shouldn't take away from the product though. I'm in Europe and certain things don't ship well over here like cases. So I'll get a new case, like I've been wanting to for some time, when I can.

Other Thoughts: Need new case.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome - just what I wanted

Pros: High quality bits, great tolerances, easy installation, amazing performance, mouse quiet.

Cons: I didn't realize it would come with good thermal paste - I could have avoided spending an extra $5 for a new tube of Arctic Silver.

Other Thoughts: My ice blue heavily modded rig was running a stock cooler because I didn't want to take away from some of the other design elements. Of course, it crapped out so I found this beauty. I was a little worried about the fit, but my measurements were telling me I should end up between 1 and 2 mils clearance for the window kit side panel. calculations were right on after a quick installation and the blue LED 120mm fan looks just as I envisioned. In fact, the case is designed for a very high front to back flow, mainly to make up for the stock cooler and after installation I was recording 18C CPU temps and 20C case temps. Yep, the CPU with no load was cooler than the case - I couldn't believe it. Anywhoo, Enermax ETS-T40 Black Twister FTW.

Bring on the noobs.
