The ENERMAX ETS-T40-BK CPU cooler employs a unique TCC (Thermal Conductive Coating) to create better velocity of thermal transference and prevents oxidation on the contact surface. It delivers world leading thermal resistance performance of 0.085°C/W thanks to the combination of three smart innovations: Stack Effect Flow, Vortex Generator Flow, and Vacuum Effect Flow. Its four 0.6mm high-performance heat pipes with HDT (Heatpipe Direct Touch) ensure rapid thermal conduction and eliminate CPU hotspots. The ETS-T40-BK also comes with one 12cm Twister Bearing PWM fan with an operating range of 800RPM to 1800RPM. Plus, the ETS-T40-BK feature a universal bracket that is compliant with most Intel and AMD sockets, including Intel’s 4th Generation processors.

5 out of 5 eggsIcy

Pros: Looks great against a black MOBO.
Keeps a 4690K OC'd to 4.5Ghz in check.
The fan is rated for huge CFM.
Comes with hardware for 2 fan push/pull setup.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This cooler is big! running it in a "normal" direction in my case/mobo (Zondda/Z97 HD3) combo leaves about 20mm between the back of the cooler and my rear case fan. Basically, I can't fit a 2nd fan on the cooler without losing the rear case fan.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's still in the box :(

Pros: I haven't "properly" used it due to the fact that the first time I installed it, my dumb !@#$% forgot check and make sure the CPU was properly seated and yeah, bent pins = CPU in the trash. Hahaha yeah I know you're laughing --_-- good thing, it was just an AMD FX 8100......exactly, but it wasn't my fault. It was that @#$% OEM Motherboard. The flimsy plastic (the CPU socket) snapped. No I didn't over tighten it, it was broken previously. Alright maybe it was my fault, anyways...back to the review/overview, as it sits here in front of me:

The Color: Man, the main reason I bought this along with a lot of other hardware was solely due to aesthetics. The mat black finish, shiny black fan shroud and blue fan blade...awww it all goes together so well. Then you have the embossed type logo with it's own design, pure perfection.

The Material: The cooler has a Thermal Conductive Coating, it's smooth and wont cut you. The 4 copper heat pipes are coated as well.

Build Quality: Most fins wont come bent but if they do, they can easily be bent back. Only 1 of mine were bent, later on I knocked it over and bent quit a few, then bent back into place just fine.

The fan: It's quiet even at full RPM's. (How would I know if my PC was broken) I connected the PSU to the Mobo and connected Enermax's fan to the Pump fan slot on the Mobo, successfully achieving full RPM's

The Lights: 10/10 That's all I gotta say :D If you don't like bright lights, tint your side panel like i plan on doing.

Cons: Where the heat pipes meet the CPU's heat sink it's placement isn't even, if you run your fingernail over each individual pipe in a single direction your finger will catch on some of the heat pipes. This slight imperfection can be fixed with the help of thermal paste.

The tips of the heat pipes aren't all even, I know this is their design but it messes with my OCD :D

Other Thoughts: If you remove the fan make sure you place it facing he right direction. On the cooler itself are arrows directing you. Not doing so will cause you to lose cooling performance due to the the convectional vents located at the top of the cooler which act as a suction, sucking up the heat form between the pipes to the top of the unit, at least that's what I think it does :P

4 out of 5 eggsKeeps things cold

Pros: This thing is huge, Beware pick a case that is compatible with this cooler. The ram height is also limited. I got gskill ares and that still wasn't enough. I recommend Corsair Lp ram.

Cons: Incredibly hard to mount while motherboard is out of the case. Fan is not noticeable unless your are running full speed.

Other Thoughts: Mount this while the motherboard is in the case so you can see which screws holes you need to put in for the backplate.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I tired water cooling, meh, I wont say who's but the pump didn't turn and I almost lost my cpu. So I got 3 of these and I must say I am super happy with each of the rigs I put these in. Keeps my 8350's nice and cool.
Oh and the light dims and brightens with fan speed - awesome.
The fan is also very quiet at low rpms. My minimum speed is apx 55% and my rig is just barely noticeable from all fans.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Then fan clips are a bit of a game to get on, but you just need to plan it out and have an extra hand.
This type of cooling block does sit just over my ram so it could interfere with tall ram.

3 out of 5 eggsLooks good

Pros: Beautiful looking fan. What can i say, it looks great in a case.

Cons: Can't write a good con, I bought this for my cpu but didn't think about my heat requirements so it doesn't work for me.

Other Thoughts: Not intended for FX-9590

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works very well, I have a AMD FX-6300 black edition cpu and the stock fan just wasn't cutting it, ended up hitting 78 degrees Celsius. Got this and the max I've hit was like 62. The blue fan looks awesome and it is bright! I have 5 blue led case fans that came stock with my tower and the one on this cooler is much brighter than any of them. A few reviews said the stock fan was loud but it's not, you can hear it humming but unless you're wanting a completely silent rig, the fan noise is nothing you'll really notice. For $50 bucks and free shipping you can't go wrong...unless you have a thin case..it's big.

Cons: TALL!!! It actually wouldn't be too bad if it didn't have those cones things on the top ( Don't know if they have an official name sorry) but they are just tall enough that it wouldn't let my panel close all the way so I had to grind out a quarter inch gap between where the plastic window connects to the metal on the panel so two of the cones wouldn't hit. Nothing you can notice after I finished but still annoying I had to do that, but that's my fault for not double checking my case size.

Other Thoughts: good price, works great, looks awesome. Just double check to make sure it will fit your tower like every other review says haha.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU Cooler

Pros: Very easy installation--just spend some time studying the instructions and the included parts. Did not require me to remove the motherboard to install. Very bright blue LED fan complimented my other blue LED's in my Antec 1200 case. Fan went out in my old Asus Lionsquare cooler....case temp 27c at idle...40c - 45c under full quad core load.

Cons: I didn't trust the included thermal paste...I spent a few bucks for diamond paste.

Other Thoughts: I was very satisfied with this product and would recommend to anyone with a case large enough to accomodate the cooler.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This cooler is very effective, I haven't come even remotely close to having issues with CPU temperature yet.

Cons: It's huge - make sure your case has room, and depending on your motherboard, you may have to install RAM prior to this or find yourself removing it to access additional RAM slots. But if you put in your due diligence this shouldn't be an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsEnermax ETS-T40 Black Twister

Pros: -Easy installation for Intel socket LGA 1150.
-Comes with hooks for addition of a second fan
-Comes with thermal compound if you do not have your own
-Black finish looks great along with the blue fan LEDs
-Performs well as far as cooling goes
-Fits in my case
-Does not disable any of my RAM slots

Cons: None of which to speak!

Other Thoughts: Cannot speak on the performance of the stock thermal compound as I used my own tube of Arctic MX-4.

With the ASUS Maximus VI Hero, the fan only slightly protrudes over the first RAM slot, but my G-Skill Ripjaw RAM still fits in that first spot as long as you clip the fan on after installing the heatsink to the motherboard.

Packaging does include a clip and set of rubber pads to allow for a second fan. Push-pull system looks and works great, especially with a blue LED Enermax T.B. Vegas fan as the second fan!
