4 out of 5 eggsFor AMD FX Users

This review is from: Enermax ETS-T40-BK Black 120mm Twister CPU Cooler with TB Apollish Blue LED PWM Fan

Pros: Idle temps kept at about 40'C instead of with the stock fan when it was idling at sometimes 80'C on a FX-8320. Looks great, blue LEDs are bright and add a cool look to my NZXT Source 210 window case. Black finish is even and great looking, tower is sturdy. Fan is whisper quiet below 1000 rpm.

Cons: Fan does not have the switch speed control like the White Clusters fan does which is a little dissapointing. I am not 100% sure but there are several LEDs that arent li that im pretty sure have functions like brightness settings, and sequenced effects but i dont know how to make them work. DID NOT FIT THE SOURCE 210 WINDOW CASE, I thought i had a centemeter of clearance, but i do not. That is ok, though the side panel can not completely close shut i can get most of the panel brackets to line up correctly and get it "closed".

Other Thoughts: READ IF YOU ARE AMD FX 8 SERIES USER* I have an AMD FX8320 with a small overclock of about .3GHz.. With the stock cooler I was getting over 80'c on load in games like TombRaider and idled at about 60-70'C. With this cooler, on 800 RPM it was about 44'C idle and in games i never saw it above 46'C. On full 1800 RPM it is about the same maybe a couple degrees cooler. This cooler will keep FX 8 series CPUs at a safe temperature with a small amount of room for overclocking. Over all, I do not recomend for an FX 8 series overclocker.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product

This review is from: Enermax ETS-T40-BK Black 120mm Twister CPU Cooler with TB Apollish Blue LED PWM Fan

Pros: Bought this slightly over a year ago, and it's still going strong. It has copper heatsinks which I've heard was the best choice (this was my first custom computer). I don't overclock anything, but I still do some pretty hardware intensive things and this fan has kept everything between 28c~35c and combined with my case everything is easily dust free after all this time (with easy removable filters on the case for simple light dusting every 2 months).
I will definitely buy this again when the time comes.

Cons: It's a pretty big fan. I'm using it with a Blackhawk Mid ATX gaming tower and it was a pretty tight fit with the side fan (120mm). It covers the first PCI slot on my MB (Asus pz877-v lk) so I had to just live without that slot. I needed an ethernet card since my MB ethernet port didn't work and it was a VERY tight squeeze between my fan and graphics card (EVGA gtx 760 4gb superclocked edition w/ ACX cooler).

Try a wider case or a full sized case if you plan on getting this fan. The side panel on my case is now bent outwards due to the CPU fan sticking out so far.

Other Thoughts: The thermal paste that was included with the fan still holds perfectly even after a year of heavy tasks. No need to buy additional paste unless you prefer it.

2 out of 5 eggsLooks cool, but not cool

This review is from: Enermax ETS-T40-BK Black 120mm Twister CPU Cooler with TB Apollish Blue LED PWM Fan

Pros: - Looks awesome.

Cons: - Xigmatek sd963 cools way better.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace a Xigmatek SD963, but this fan gave me way higher temps. I reated it several times. I cleaned off the thermal grease and reapplied. I did everything I could think of but nothing mattered. I don't know if its the black coating, or the fan that it comes with, but something about this heatsink/fan SUCKS! Good luck if you are buying it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Heatsink and Fan

This review is from: Enermax ETS-T40-BK Black 120mm Twister CPU Cooler with TB Apollish Blue LED PWM Fan

Pros: - Cool (Both eyecandy and temperature)
- Quiet
- Covers a lot of CPU surface area
- Option of 2 fans in push-pull configuration

Cons: **None**

- Some would complain about the size but if they complain about it then why did they even decide to buy? Dimensions are listed...

Other Thoughts: This is "almost" just as good as watercooling for a Core i7-4790k processor. Might still get a little hotter if you are running above 4.0 Ghz...but it will keep the processor below the operating temp.

This is setup up in a push-pull configuration in my Cooler Master 935 half stacker two piece mod tower.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Air Cooler on The Market.

This review is from: Enermax ETS-T40-BK Black 120mm Twister CPU Cooler with TB Apollish Blue LED PWM Fan

Pros: Where to start...
- fits TWO 120mm fans!
- Huge Heatsink! (seriously, measure your case before you buy this!)
- Bright blue LEDs!
- Black nylon sleeved fan cable.

Cons: Just one:
It barely fits in my case (the Zalman Z11 Plus) but I was able to get it in because of the angular side panel window.

Other Thoughts: If you want the best cooler without using water cooling, then buy this. I used to get near 65-70 degrees C under load (with the stock CPU cooler) but now I don't go over 50, with an average in the 20-30 degree range.

Here are my system's specs:
-ECS Elitegroup A75F-A motherboard
-Socket FM1 AMD A-8 APU 3.0 gHz Quad-core processor
-This CPU cooler
-2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB SATA III Hard drive
- 840 Evo 250gb SSD
-G.Skill Ares series 32gb 1866mhz RAM
-ASUS Blu-Ray burner (SATA)
-ASUS DVD/CD burner (SATA)
-20-in-1 media card reader
-Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 2gb graphics card
-Rosewill wireless adapter PCI E x1
-DIAMOND xterme sound sound card
-Rosewill bronze series 1000 watt power supply unit
-Zalman Z11 Plus Mid-Tower ATX case.
-Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

5 out of 5 eggsCool to the max!

This review is from: Enermax ETS-T40-BK Black 120mm Twister CPU Cooler with TB Apollish Blue LED PWM Fan

Pros: Keeps the CPU cool as promised!! No fancy liquid cooling system required.

Cons: Large unit (but necessary). Therefore necessitates a larger tower (e.g. Thermaltake Armor). Still a GREAT unit!!

5 out of 5 eggs100°C to 50°C

This review is from: Enermax ETS-T40-BK Black 120mm Twister CPU Cooler with TB Apollish Blue LED PWM Fan

Pros: I used the stock CPU fan/heatsink from my Intel i5-4570 and it was getting much too hot for my liking. When I stress tested with Prime95 two of my cores reached 101°C before I could even finish the test according to Core Temp 1.0. After installing this fan/heatsink and performing the same stress test my maximum temperature on any core was 52°C.

Can't hear it over my graphics card.

Cons: Much bigger than I was expecting, but it still fits in the case.

Other Thoughts: You could probably get the same results with something cheaper; but this just gets the job done right, and gets it done quick.
