5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU Cooling Fan

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: This fan is a great alternative when PWM is not available, but keep in mind the temperature probe is the only way to control fan speed. It uses the same batwing fan blades as the Enermax magma. It has great CFM and static pressure. I have the Cooler Master Haf-X case, and i installed this in the dedicated GPU cooling duct. I have dual non-reference 660s in SLI and i was having problems with the bottom card dumping all its heat on the top card. Top card was consistantly 10-15c above the bottom cards temp. After installing this and placing the thermal sensor on the top cards heat sink i have about a 3 C difference now between the bottom and the top card. Couldn't be happier with this fan.

Cons: Not really a con, but more of a warning. You absolutely must use the temperature probe for this fan. There is no other way to control fan speed. I strongly recommend this fan for specific applications such as cooling GPUs or various passive heatsinks you may have on your motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: These suckers are quiet. And the temperature-based speed control is exactly what I needed. The thermometer is on a cord long enough to go where I want it. There's a manual on/off switch for the LED, and a three-setting switch to cap the fan's top speed.

Cons: There's cheaper fans, but you're just talking a couple bucks.

Other Thoughts: I haven't had these fans installed long, but so far they move the air without so much as a whisper.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing fan with auto temp control!

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: So this fan does exactly what's advertised. Cools and does it with complete silence! I installed this inside a Rosewill RSV-S8 enclosure to replace the stock, noisy, full-RPM-no-matter-what fan. Surprisingly, Rosewill had a 3-pin fan connector on the inside which I didn't expect, so I plugged it straight in. I grabbed the thermal sensor and placed it in between some of the hard drive racks, and off it went; automatically ramping up when drives turned on and dissipated all the heat. Once my drives spun down to sleep, the fan would slowly ramp down, which was exactly what I wanted since this was running in a bedroom.

So if you want a completely autonomous, quiet fan which does its job only when it needs to, and does't bug you with noise when it doesn't, get this fan!

Cons: The only con I could ever place on this fan is that it's not exactly suited for static pressure. The fin design definitely doesn't move a lot of air when it's restricted. I compared this to a Noctua NF-P12 and you can totally notice the difference in airflow design. The Noctua will focus all airflow all round the middle of the fan, whereas the Enermax will sort of blow air towards the sides of the fan, with no air coming from the middle. Not a big deal if you don't have a restricted airflow case.

Other Thoughts: I bought this fan not really expecting it to be silent, much less having good automatic control over the RPM speeds, but this fan exceeded all of that. And you can't go wrong for the price!

4 out of 5 eggsgreat but not for radiators

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: Good for simply being quite even at high speeds( for it around 1600rpm)

Moves good amount of air through the case

Has a thermometer that controls the rpm's which is rare is fans

Great led lights

Cons: Wish it was a bit cheaper.

Not the best for radiators

Other Thoughts: I got two fans and they are quiter on full speed then all of my 4 stock fans that are pretty quite as they are unregulated. These fans are worth for pushing air through the case and that's it(not through a radiators).

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a good fan but assembly sucked.

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: Pretty Lights, Cools stuff.

Cons: No assembly instructions for these little rubber plug thingys.

Other Thoughts: Its excellent but installing it was a pain because the anti-vibration rubber plugs that come with it were hard to figure out how to work.

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: The quietest fans I have owned. Option to turn off the LEDs.

Cons: I own three of the fans and one them will start to randomly click every know and then and it can be somewhat annoying.

5 out of 5 eggsSilent!

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: Extremely Quiet

Has Blue LED lighting to match my case

Has a switch to change max fan speed to control noise as well as a switch to enable and disable the LED lights

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Having two desktops in the same room generates a lot of noise with stock fans in the cases. Replaced the fans in them with these and now the room is nice and quite. Sitting next to my PC I can even hear the CPU and GPU fans spin up and down (Both stock fans)

If you are like me, I thought it was a little pricey at first for a single fan, but you certainly get what you pay for here! This fan is awesome!
