3 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Serviceable, Works

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: This is a decent fan for the price, with a switch to disable the LED. It's very quiet, and arrived well packaged. The bat-wing blades are interesting, but I am not sure how much effectiveness they add. Not for use as primary airflow generators, but works well as the rear fan in my Silverstone PS07.

Cons: The Adjustable Peak Speed is handled automatically by the fan. Even adjusting the ASUS UEFI bios fan settings did not result in the RPM going above 580 (which helps to keep it quiet). I have the temp sensor going to the CPU cooler fins.

5 out of 5 eggsStupidly Quiet

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: I just love all the adjust ability that these fans have. When I started it up for the first time I had to check to make sure they were running because they are that quiet.

Cons: No issues

Other Thoughts: I did not see a directional notation of air movement on the fan normally found on most fans.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: I've owned t2 of these for 6 months now and they are whisper quiet and still move enough air. Turning the lights on and off is a nice feature. Rubber mounting hardware held my radiator in place without any problem.

Cons: None as of now

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: - It's so quiet, that even if you hold it next to your ear, all you hear is the air/wind being pushed and not the fan-noise itself.

- Comes with blue LED than you can turn off or on to whichever you please.

- There's three types of speed switches but since it's so quiet, it's a no brainer to put it on the max.

- It's thermal-speed-adjusted; so for people like me who doesn't want program/bios/etc. to run the fan on whatever percentage, this fan is the best because it does what it does best; gets more air blowing when it senses hotter temp. Hassle free!

Cons: - This is one of the first quiet dB fan I've really ever gotten. Now Enermax makes me want to get more of these to replace my 80mm fans that "was" quiet, into really loud now. I'm spoiled by its quietness.

- Maybe cheaper? :)

Other Thoughts: - I would say that if you had enough money to spend, take all of your fans off and replace it with these and your PC would be virtually dead silent. Seriously, all I'm hearing now is the sound coming from my 80mm's.

5 out of 5 eggsStrictly a case fan.

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: Affordable
Isolator mounts!
Good performance
Versatile
Good LEDs (with on/off toggle)

Cons: Flexible plastic ring, in place aluminum.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my other rig which has a Biostar A85W motherboard. There are three fan headers: one 4-pin CPU fan header, and two 3-pin system fan headers. The 3-pin fan headers on the motherboard do not allow for voltage control, so I purchased one of these to give a shot.

Overall, I am pleased. At full tilt, it is not completely inaudible, but you mostly just hear a slight whoosh of air. No annoying motor or bearing sounds. (I had to use a hot glass of water to heat the thermal probe up to make it run at full tilt.) It usually operates between 700-1300 RPM, depending on if my system is at idle or load. Anything below 1200 RPM you have to really strain to hear. Just having one of these fans decreases the internal case temperature by roughly 10C.

The thermal probe has a decently long wire that should be sufficient for most builds. I could see some people who have full ATX cases having an issue, but then it would be just too cumbersome for the rest. On that note, I think the temperature threshold for maximum speed is around 38C. Holding the sensor between my fingers was almost enough for it to reach maximum speed.

My only gripe is that they replaced the usual aluminum ring of the fan with a flexible plastic material. There is nothing actually wrong with it, it just strikes me as a cheaper money-saving effort, since these fans don't have the biggest market... and their market is more towards budget-orientated builds.

That said, these fans do fill a certain niche. They'd be great for those who want more case fans, and since they don't have the extra fan headers to support them have to hook them up directly to the PSU. (Why spend 25-40$ on a hardware fan controller, when for just over $25 you can have two of these?) If you also have a motherboard that lacks PWM and voltage control for fans, these are for you as well.

4 out of 5 eggsgood fan

This review is from: ENERMAX EVEREST Advance UCEVA12T 120mm Blue LED Case Fan with APS Control (Adjustable Peak Speed)

Pros: this is a very quiet case fan that automatically adjusts fan speed according to included temperature sensor. also you can turn off the lights if you don't want them on.

Cons: this is only a 3 pin fan connector so you cant use pmw control to adjust your fan speeds.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

This fan comes with a 3pin, and it is Thermal Control. It comes with an additional wire as thermal control to adjust the fan speeds instead of a PWM fan.

Thank you,
Customer Service
