1 out of 5 eggsGreat Fan, Terrible Company

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS SINGLE UCTVS12P-BL PWM 120mm Blue LED Case Fan w/ APS control

Pros: Bought this fan and 2 other Enermax UCT12P fans on 1/26/16 because they all had rebates for $5 off.

Cons: Bought this fan and 2 other Enermax UCT12P fans on 1/26/16 because they all had rebates for $5 off. Sent in the rebates, know for a fact I did everything correctly. Watch the progress of the rebates on their tracking site, see that it looks like all three have been approved and "responses have been mailed". So I wait and wait for my checks to come in the mail, and only receive 2 of them. So I wait until the prescribed time on their tracking site and call them, for them to say that "the UPC I sent in for one of their fans was invalid." Well, hold on a second, I sent in 3 and they were all the same. How was 1 invalid? So now I'm out $5, and because of their lousy business practices they're out what was going to be a very loyal customer.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend the product, just not the company. Terrible PR, terrible business practices.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Cool lighting, but some limitations

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS SINGLE UCTVS12P-BL PWM 120mm Blue LED Case Fan w/ APS control

Pros: Cool lighting, quiet, ability to adjust speed ranges (switch), 4 pin PWM. Overall a very high quality fan.

Cons: The biggest con is that the lighting effects can only be properly viewed from the front of the fan (intake). If your application requires it to be placed in such a way that the front of the fan is obscured, it will mostly just glow the color of LEDs. You see the effects a little bit, but not that well.

Other Thoughts: For my application, I was using a Thermaltake Core V21 case. I had it oriented such that it had window on top looking in, and mesh side walls. My original intent was to put the T.B.Vegas blowing into the case on one of the side fan mounts and look into the case to see the lighting effects. However, because the fan was pushing air in, when you looked down into the case, it just looked like a mostly typical, flashing Blue LED fan. My solution was to swap this fan with the 120 mm CPU cooler fan I had. That worked fine, but would have preferred to have the the T.B.Vegas on the side (although it looked cool on side of CPU heatsink now. The fan blade is supposed to be detachable, and I did not see if it could be reversed. Also, the fan has a switch that allows you to manually set the fan to 3 peak RPM settings. There is a wire lead and button as well that you can fish outside your case and attach with provided 2 sided tape. The button allows you to cycle through different fan settings.

5 out of 5 eggsVegan done up right!

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS SINGLE UCTVS12P-BL PWM 120mm Blue LED Case Fan w/ APS control

Pros: My first exposure to the ENERMAX T.B.Vegas Single UCTVS12P-BL PWM 120mm Blue was earlier this year when I had purchased a Enermax Liqmax 120S Aluminum All-in-One Liquid Cooler with 120mm Circular Blue LED Fan. I wasn't one into a lot of extrad on my towers like fancy lights or other enchantments. However, the Vegas fans with their multiple light settings changed my mind about having sparkling things. Outside of mesmerizing the eyes, the fan has multiple settings allowing the user to choose between a whisper of a breeze to a dependable strong air flow (plenty of CFM's). I ended up buying a couple of these, one to create an extremely effective push-pull for the water cooler and the others as case fans in the front of my tower. Another feature not to forget is the detachable blades. If your like me, my builds pull ALOT of air and this add up to dust over time. What's easier then popping out the blades to wipe them clear as opposed to the old rub-a-dub which is time consuming if done properly. Behind the detachable blades you have the twist bearing technology extending the overall life of the fan. Overall, this fan offers way more in features then one would expect from a fan in its price range. It's what I'd call a true bargain!

Cons: None so far. I will be curious to see the lifespan of this fan.

5 out of 5 eggsThere. Are. Awesome.

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS SINGLE UCTVS12P-BL PWM 120mm Blue LED Case Fan w/ APS control

Pros: Whisper quiet on PWM control. I really like the option of selecting what range I want it to be limited to (<1200RPM, <1500RPM, up to 1800RPM). They do get noisy running at higher RPM (live everything else), but super quiet at low speed.

Glad that LEDs don't depend on the speed of the fan.

The little led-mode control switch is nice, though placement for that is weird. Comes with just bad double sided tape, but odd to stick the switch somewhere accessible (and the control line isn't black, like it should be)

Cons: none really

5 out of 5 eggsCool awesome and cool

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS SINGLE UCTVS12P-BL PWM 120mm Blue LED Case Fan w/ APS control

Pros: PWM control speaks for itself, but when you couple that with independent LED control, fan control becomes total control.

My case is already pretty loud, I've got two 12cm fans blowing through a radiator, I've got four 20cm fans lining the case, so i said, what would be the harm in adding two more fans to the bottom of my case as inlets to direct air where I want it? after searching the market a bit and setting up my specs I stumbled upon these.

Enermax isn't a company I trust, just never bought anything from them, don't know anyone who has, and the twister bearings they supposedly come with are unlike anything else on the market so I was a bit suspicious.

I took a look a the reviews, understood enough about them to decide to buy them, and I am not disappointed. Both the fans I've added to the bottom of my case move a reasonable amount of air without adding any extra noise to my case. That is to say at a medium RPM I can't hear them over the rest of my fans at their low rpm.

Cons: None really (See other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: Rather than sending flathead screws to mount these to your case they send you these rubber things that thread through and mount your fans. They keep the fans stable and avoid vibration and are certainly a nice idea, but my case comes equipped with dust filters, and in order to ensure the dust filters are able to connect, I had to modify those rubber ends slightly because they do stick out quite a bit, and the fans are now something of a permanent addition to my case. it's a personal problem, but certainly something to think about.

Due to where I mounted the fans I don't look directly at them, more I'm looking through my case at an angle, and where the LED's are mounted at the back of the fans they rather than providing an interesting light show, tend more to shine in my eyes and blind me, so I tend to have them turned off more than on.

5 out of 5 eggsEven better than what I was expecting

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS SINGLE UCTVS12P-BL PWM 120mm Blue LED Case Fan w/ APS control

Pros: Extremely silent operation (thanks to the maglev-based "Twister" bearing), awesome-looking LEDs, simple installation with rubber mounting screws

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I put two of these in my Cooler Master N200 case, and not only do the LEDs make the system look that much nicer, but also both fans combined produce far less noise than the single Cooler Master Jetflo I had previously installed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat features!

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS SINGLE UCTVS12P-BL PWM 120mm Blue LED Case Fan w/ APS control

Pros: Quiet, adjustable and efficient. The blue led's just accent the entire case. Nice variation in choices. Top notch fan. Quality!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I prefer a steady led color. Really have no use for any of the other lighting features. They are cool though.

5 out of 5 eggsCoolest Blue LED fan I've ever seen.

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B.VEGAS SINGLE UCTVS12P-BL PWM 120mm Blue LED Case Fan w/ APS control

Pros: Has different patterns. you pick your favorite.

Cons: A little Pricey. Wait for it to go on sale. Although at $20. I still would be happy with my purchase.

Other Thoughts: This fan needs to be installed in a case that has fans that are visible (typically front mounted). Would be wasted installed internally. I will be buying more.
