LIQMAX 120S

1. With SCT design , the cold plate can eliminate the "Boundary Layer" to increase coolant flow momentum and accelerate heat transfer performance.

2. When any CPU core is in over clock mode and generates hot spot, SCT design creates the redistribution and remix of coolant flow among individual channels to effectively remove heat surge on the CPU in a extremely timely and efficient manner.

Three-Cooling Modes:

*Silent mode: 600 - 1300RPM
*Performance mode: 600 - 2000RPM
*OverClock mode: 600 - 2500RPM

Users can choose the most suitable mode depending on the system application without pushing fan speeds up to the limit. Just gently slide the small switch at the fan hub, and an easy adjustment can be made to suit different cooling performance requirements.

5 out of 5 eggsEnermax Liqmax 120S Aluminum All-in-One Liquid Cooler With 120mm High Static Pressure Fan

Pros: All in one TOTALLY complete package VERY high quality.

Cons: would be nice to have adhesive rubber strips to place between fan and radiator.

Other Thoughts: my temps went down 10 deg. F at idle. overclocked an i7 3770 NON K to steady 4.5 GHz. temps running in the LOW 90's F. when idle and not more than 140's F. low 60's C. cannot recommend enough!! Great Product.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Unit!!!

Pros: Easy install and good cooling

Cons: Standoffs can short motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Install was very simple. Most work is putting on the back plate. What I did was removed my video and sound cards and then removed all the MB screws. Then I just lifted up the end of the MB and slid the back plate under the MB and into it's holes. Then lower the MB back into place and secured it back down. The rest was very easy. I removed the rear 120mm fan that came with the case (Antec 900) then installed the standoff to the back plate. I then attached the 120mm HP fan to the radiator and mounted it where the rear fan was. Then applied thermal paste to cpu and mounted the water block and plugged in the power for the block and fan and was done, or so I thought. Went to fire up the system but it would not post. It just got stuck in a shutdown reboot loop. The most common cause is a short somewhere on the MB. Found that 2 standoffs which are quite large in diameter were shorting a trace when they were tightened down. So I put a nylon washer between the MB and each standoff (did all 4) which did the trick and my computer has been running fine since. I have a QX6800 and running prime 95 cores 0 and 1 don't go above 46C and cores 2 and 3 don't go above 44C!!! That is amazing for a QX6800! Oh and all 4 cores run about 32-33C at idle. Not bad for a basic AIO!

5 out of 5 eggsLittle difficult but worth it.

Pros: Dropped core temp at idle 55-60c to 40-42c on an AMD A10-7850 vs. the stock cooler. Ambient air temp 75-78F. Included fan is fairly quiet.

Cons: System is completely sealed, so the radiator and cooling block are attached via the hoses and cannot be separated for install. Pretty much has to be installed on the cpu before mounting the motherboard. Manipulating the hoses and radiator around while installing the other components takes time.

3 out of 5 eggsIffy in this one..

Pros: Semi-easy install
Looks nice

Cons: none yet..

Other Thoughts: I got an FX 8350 running at stock clocks, using Arctic Silver 5 and idle is sitting around 40c...gonna let it break in a bit and see what happens.

If it continus to run this hot at idle I will be returning it..

5 out of 5 eggsEnermax Liqmax 120s

Pros: Works well cooling an i7-4790K L3 batch Turbo clocked at 4.4Ghz it stays around 30C idle. Didn't use the included paste and used Artic silver 5. I connected the pump power to the cup_opt and its running at 2100-2300 rpms.

Cons: It was a little difficult getting the mounting screws started. Had to attempt it 3 times before I was able to get the second screw going. But I know for sure its making great contact with the cpu plate.

Other Thoughts: The radiator wouldn't mount to the rear 12mm fan slot because the bottom wouldn't go flush. I ended up mounting the radiator to the rear case fan and just going with a push pull config. Its working very efficient so far. My case is a Thermaltake Overseer RX-I

5 out of 5 eggsso far very happy

Pros: So far this cooler is doing a good job. I like the fact that you can switch the speed of the fan. I had to mount the fan to the case due to the design of my case so by using a small screwdriver or bent paper clip I’m able to switch the speed without opening the case. I have a 125W AMD processor and at 80% load while burning a Blue-ray disc the Fan switch was set on the medium setting, the motherboard fan control was at 70% of full speed, my processor temp did not get over 55C. So by adding an extra fan, setting the fan switch to the high setting, and adjusting my motherboard fan load curve setting I have plenty of room to increase my heat dissipation capability. The fan is quiet at low to medium load. The processor block pump is quiet and the blue led logo is nice. I did not use the thermal paste that came with it; instead I used Artic Silver 5.

Cons: The AMD clips to mount the block to the motherboard are quite tight. You definitely want to use the thicker backing plate for the motherboard that comes with the unit. You want to brace it from the back as you start the screws. The speed of the block pump shows up running at 675,000RPM’s which I know is not correct.
