Other Thoughts: The psu in my mini-itx sat on top of the stock cooler. This one has clearence and is quieter than the stock.

What blue led?

Pros: Runs cooler than the stock cooling unit, yet is significantly quieter.

Cons: Slightly taller than the stock G620T fan.

Other Thoughts: I am using one of these in a tight mini-ITX (HP Pavilion Slimline) and it is a big improvement over the stock fan. It's low enough to fit below the optical drive, which is an issue with this case when using most aftermarket mainboards. (The CPU socket is usually below the optical drive.)

Despite the low height, it is significantly denser (with a copper core) than the stock heatsink and keeps the CPU significantly cooler despite the fan RPM being half that of the stock unit.

Pros: Excellent cooling.

Small enough to fit into a rinky dink case and still have some clearence.

VERY quiet. Maybe its my blown out eardrums from all the IEDs but i cant hear this thing running even under a heavy workload.

Perfect for that HTPC you have your eye on.

Cons: Blue LED you cant turn off and its just bright enough to be annoying.

Other Thoughts: Maybe you can somehow disable the blue LED. I dont know. If you can its a 5 egg heatsink.

Pros: Fits LGA 775 port. Cools decently well. Pretty quiet.

Cons: Arrived in rather bad shape, the metal part of one of the clips was badly bent. Needle nose pliers were able to fix that.

Fan refuses to stay clipped to the heat sink. Ended up breaking part of the plastic to try and get it to clip securely on... oddly enough, it fits tighter once broken in two places than it did in one piece...

Other Thoughts: Bought for a media center, didn't want to have to deal with a replacement, so pulled out the tools and fixed it myself. The cracked plastic might be fixable with some super glue, but it honestly fits better now, so I think I'll leave it.

Pros: It's thin and it blows air.

Cons: Poor quality bearing and iffy customer support.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this for an Apex MI-008 micro build last fall. At that time, this was really the only option for a slim cooler. It worked OK for a month or two, but then the bearing became noisy. I contacted Silverstone customer support, and they were friendly and assured me twice that I would receive a replacement fan. It's been several months and I have yet to receive that new fan. I've since ordered a similar fan from a competitor.

Pros: QUIET, QUIET, QUIET! I've been looking for a decent Core 2 Duo cooler that passes the cooling & quiet test. This one is it! This is a great replacement cooler for a stock Intel cooler.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Push pins are very easy to push. Very little effort to install.

Pros: It's low profile, reasonably quiet, and fits in the case

Cons: The problem I have with this cooler, and probably the same thing others with poor cooling performance have is that it does not clamp down tightly enough to the CPU to transfer heat efficiently. At least not with my motherboard (Zotac GF9300) and CPU (Celeron 450 Conroe-L). The legs are too long, so the base of the heat sink doesn't clamp down onto the top of the CPU. You can tell because the legs are too easy to latch down. Maybe the 45nm CPUs sit up a little higher...

That said, I get somewhat acceptable cooling, though a lot higher that I would have expected on a low power CPU (temps under load run close to 60C.)

Other Thoughts: I assumed that the 45nm designation was intended to indicate that the heat sink was not designed for the hotter parts on larger dies, but maybe there's a physical difference.

Pros: Fits in the APEX case I bought for MiniITX system.
Very quiet
Performs well in the tight confines of the miniITX case.

Cons: Didn't come with thermal compound? Can't really complain though.

Pros: Runs cool and quiet, I haven't noticed any particular sound. I use it for my htpc so it's a matter of minutes before the sound of a movie covers any ambiant noise. also store the htpc inside a cabinet and has no problem. This h/s fan combo is TINY!!!! exactly what I needed

Cons: The wires were stuck in the fan, I had to move them before it starts to cool properly. Fan was not powerful enough to cut the wire, which is nice!

Other Thoughts: I think I'll get 2 more but in the socket AM2 version; I really liked this product!

Pros: About 1/4" shorter than stock CPU fan.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a mini-ITX box I was putting together, the stock CPU fan was bumping up against the power supply. Replaced it with this one, had plenty of clearance.
