3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: pretty quite and moves a respectable amount of air. fan controller switch works well to turn up the speed on the fly. Probably the only 180 mm fan on the market.

Cons: thick. could not mount on side panel of my case as I desired because it brushed up against my cpu cooler.

Other Thoughts: if you need a 180 mm fan you don't have much choice but this fits the bill nicely.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

Pros: I have 3 of these in my Raven R02. I have had them for about 2 months and have had no issues. They are smooth and quiet for their size. I also have a Corsair H100 and dual 140mm radiators being cooled by them, I have been impressed so far but I don't have a lot of experience with 180mm fans either.

Cons: Huge

Other Thoughts: I would recommend them, they keep 2 Nvidia GTX670's in SLI and an i5 3570K very cool and everything is overclocked. I do have the radiators spaced about 3/8" up above the fans and I believe that makes a big difference.

3 out of 5 eggsIsn't exactly a 180mm fan

Pros: The fan is huge and works like a jet turbine.

Cons: The fan measured well over 180 mm from corner to corner). In fact it measured 240mm!!!
It wouldn't fit my fan brackets. I had to return it.

Other Thoughts: The fan within the casing was 180 mm, but the fan as a whole is not.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Large, quiet fan that moves a lot of air.

Cons: Died 20 days after the 1 year warranty expired.

Other Thoughts: I purchased the Silverstone RV02B-EW in April last year. It uses three of these fans as bottom intake, which I loved. I never bothered to check the warranty... 1 year is relatively pathetic. Corsair offers 2-5 years on their cases and fans. If I didn't love this case so much I would switch to their products... as it is, I'm just going to keep buying Silverstone fans as they fail. I wish more companies offered 180mm fans though...

5 out of 5 eggsthis is what you're looking for

Pros: Quiet, really.
Effective cooling.
What else do you need to know?
Well, I guess the sleeved cables are a nice touch. As is the voltage switch.

Cons: Only in black?

Other Thoughts: I put this on the side of my fractal design midi case to cool my SLI GTX560ti setup. I have a water cooling loop for my CPU (a real one, not a corsair jobby). As a direct result of this fan, I'm able to benchmark 3D Mark11 at Extreme settings in a repeating loop at 950 mhz, up from 900 mhz, with temps much better than before. I had a stock fractal 140mm fan on the side before this and it did nothing. The right fan can make all the difference!

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best 180mm Fan!!!

Pros: When it comes to fast penetrating air flow, no other 180mm can deliver or come close to this SilverStone AP181!!!

Cons: None!!!

Other Thoughts: I just don't get it!?...I must be one of the most luckiest Newegg customer, I don't understand why others are having so much issues with their purchased products!?....I'm not sayin' that it does not happen, and it can happen to me' on the next purchase!...That's one of the reason I add the extra 1-2 year extended warranty, you never know it's better to be safe than sorry!

2 out of 5 eggsMove alot of Air but flawed

Pros: Move a decent amount of air and are relatively quiet when not hitting the casing of the fan.

Cons: Severely flawed and will hit the casing of the fan alot of the time making a loud clicking sound and breaking quite often.
I have gone through 6 of these fans now, 3 in the first RV02w-ew case I had for a few hours until I swapped for another due to continuous clicking. Then the next 3 had to be replaced over a 3 month period due to them all breaking (fan blades snapping off 2 blades on the first and 1 on each of the others)

Other Thoughts: Given the price asked for these fans they need to be looked at and fixed before claiming them as the best thing since sliced bread. You would expect the deterioration of cheap fans but not on something like this.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice!

Pros: Moves tons of air and is whisper quiet.

Cons: Wish my case could take three of these :(

Other Thoughts: If you have the space, by all means get this fan.
