3 out of 5 eggsPre-Installation review

Pros: Reviews I had read during my pre-sales decision process had very high opinions on this unit. At C$17 you cant go wrong with this specialty designed 12 inch case fan. I like the funnel design and the 1.2 metre reach.

Cons: Scanty/exiguous 31.4 CFM air flow.
Lack of colour selection.

Other Thoughts: I am trying to add more cooling to my AMD A6 6400K processor CPU which already has a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO on it. Readings are between 47C and 72C between idle and light load.(mostly at start up)
I am really concerned on how high those temp readings would reach on full load and even higher still if I ever decide to overclock it. I am, obviously, uncomfortable with current readings and the threat of overheating and frying the system.

I will install the AP-123 in the near future and re-visit this site with my review after the fact. I am expecting the mentioned temps range to be lowered to between 35C and 50C and eventually 65-to C with maximum load(with no gaming though)

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Silent.
I was getting "moving air" noise from my HTPC in a cabinet using three cougar fans. Basically when I'd open the door to the cabinet it sounded like a jet engine/air vacuum, you could hear it outside the cabinet. With the AP123 fans, can barely hear anything with the cabinet door shut, open it up and you can hear them still but at least 1/2 as loud as it used to be.

Cons: Price, picking up 3 more when I get my hands on a coupon or they go on sale.

5 out of 5 eggsNice blue fan

Pros: Fairly quiet, awesome blue colour, nice braided cable, no motor noise, and undervolts well.

Cons: When the fan is horizontal and blowing air upwards the fan creates a ticking noise, I am not using it like this however so it doesn't affect me.

Other Thoughts: I am running this off of a motherboard header with the fan set to around 40% speed and it is silent.
