4 out of 5 eggsGreat heat sink, but maybe not for ITX

Pros: I put it in one of those trash can PC's like Apple uses and it run surprisingly cool. It's on an i5 3470 and sitting around 65C

Cons: It's so low profile especially on an ITX. ITX motherboards have little room on the PCB and all of the capacitors and voltage regulators that are normally spread around the board are right on top of the CPU. The heat sink pipes press down on them as you try to push this down and into place. I felt like I was going to crush the voltage regulators while pressing this down.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this heat sink, but maybe not on ITX as there is little more room for voltage regulators and capacitors as they're right next to the CPU

5 out of 5 eggssmall and quiet

Pros: very quiet and keeps cpu cool in very small HTPC cases

Cons: Kind of expensive
It is very wide, i had to take out a stick of ram because it overhung into the ram slot

Other Thoughts: I have this in a very small silverstone HTPC case with this as the only fan in the whole computer that is running. It keeps it cool

4 out of 5 eggsGood performance, unlucky first draw.

Pros: Suuuuuper slim.
Runs pretty quiet, which is to be expected from silverstone products.
Cheap.
Cools well.

Cons: I'm assuming I got a fluke, as several fan blades broke off on their own while running a 24hr Prime95 burn-in, so minus 1 star for that. Stuck using the Intel stock cooler due to case restrictions till the RMA arrives. will revisit this review after I've put a few months into the replacement.

Other Thoughts: I needed an ultra slim cooler for a custom case mod and this heatsink fit my requirements exactly. it runs very quiet until you get to about 60% speed, and even then it's quite easy on the ears. during the aforementioned Prime95 test I never exceeded 70 percent, so sound really wasn't an issue and it cooled my G3258 OC'd @ 4.2Ghz without any trouble.

2 out of 5 eggsIssues with GA-H81TN

Pros: One of the only fans that comfortably fits in the Silverstone PT13 thin mini ITX case. And relatively quiet.

Cons: Difficult to install. Barely fits onto the Gigabyte H81TN - one of the heatsink's posts rubs HARD against one of the capacitors. And one of the heatpipes touches the board's chipset heatsink.

Other Thoughts: This cooler is overpriced for what you get. The mounting technique is similar to the stock Intel mounts, which is poor at best. This would have been much better if it were attached using a mounting plate under the motherboard.
