5 out of 5 eggsMade the noisy fan in my PSU whisper quiet!

Pros: *quiet!* Came with silicone fan mounts along with screws. Ditched the screws. No lame LEDs! Fit my HTPCs power supply which has space constraints.

Cons: Pricey for a 80mm, silver finish might be unappealing to some but for my setup you can't see it anyway.

Other Thoughts: I bought a ION slim PC case that was on sale with a rebate on cyber monday week last fall. Came with it's own non-standard PSU that had a noisy fan that was unusable for a quiet HTPC. So the HTPC set unused for nearly 6 months because I needed a slim 80mm fan. This was the quietest one that was slim and 80mm. Price checked and newegg was the cheapest. I used the silicone fan mounts and now combined with a another super quiet 80mm case fan, a fanless discreet graphics card, and the stock heatsink from my Phenom II 6-core (with a quiet fan) my temps are good, and you can't hear it run. Although a bit pricey for a smaller fan, it is very very quiet and my PSU is doing great!

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect For the Job!

Pros: One of the few thin 80mm fans you'll find. Fits perfectly in the slot BEHIND the motherboard on the backside of the CM690 case. I love that it helps exhaust some of that heat. Very quiet.....yes it's low speed, but it's one of the quietest 80mm fans I've ever heard! Moves decent air for what it's intended for.

Cons: Seems delicate and brittle, I question it's longevity.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 more, so I can keep the CM690 slot filled.

2 out of 5 eggsSilent, average airflow

Pros: Silent
Inexpensive

Cons: Minimal airflow
Cheap, ugly "metallic" looking paint finish

Other Thoughts: I purchased two of these fans to use in a Silverstone SG02B-F case. The case included 1 silverstone 80mm fan and has 2 mounts for additional 80mm fans.

I wanted fans that would be quiet and help cool the case since it is small and needs additional cooling for the GPU. These fans are very quiet, but they don't move much air. I used them for about a month and eventually switched to Noctua fans (replacing the included fan over the HDD's in my case). When I made the switch, the temps in the case dropped about 7 degrees celsius at nearly the same noise level.

If you are looking for an inexpensive fan, this is it, although it's not pretty and moves minimal air.

3 out of 5 eggsSlim fan for Mini ITX

Pros: Quiet

Cons: Doesn't move much air for a PSU

Other Thoughts: It was somewhat hard to find a cheap 15mm replacement fan for my Mini ITX HTPC. This one fit the bill but I wish I would have paid more attention to the CFM. This fan does the job and is silent but I would like a more air movement. Will not buy this one again.

4 out of 5 eggsvery happy

Pros: silent - had to verify with a flashlight that all the fans were spinning.

Cons: they don't push a ton of air, but they do the job. my case is about 8 degrees (C) cooler with these versus the ones that came with my case (Lian-Li PC-65 Silver Aluminum Mid Tower Case).

Other Thoughts: replaced all 4 fans in my Lian-Li PC-65 case from 2003 with these. Old fans were still working ok, but these are far quieter (maybe just because they are brand new).

1 out of 5 eggsFailed in Less than 1-year

Pros: It was quiet for the 6-months or so it was working well

Cons: Started making bearing noise at after start-up; would be okay after I would stuck something in to touch the fan; but at the 1-year mark, would not quiet down; RPM also started slowing down.

Other Thoughts: Fans should last for years in my mind; I should have left the original power supply fan alone; it was not as quiet, but I've never had an original power supply fan fail.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Arrived fast and this fan is near silent. Had to look to see if it was really running.

Cons: None at this time

Other Thoughts: The rubber mounts would make it even quieter, but I couldn't hear it anyway with just the screws holding it in. If you need a quiet fan, this is the way to go.

Good quiet fan. Bought for a Cooler Master 690 Case. Airflow is nice and quiet to help vent CPU from the backside.
