5 out of 5 eggsMellow Yellow

Pros: Quiet operation, rubber type mounting hardware, molex plus 3-pin power connectors, yellow color...

Cons: Does not move tons of air. It's always a trade off, dB vs CFM, and this fan strikes a nice balance between the two.
Overall not really a con, I was expecting as much.

Other Thoughts: This fan is a great option. If it lasts a few years, I'd say it's worth its price. If it fails before then, I might have spent too much for a disposable item. In the meantime it's pretty to look at when my case is open, and I'd recommend it based purely on aesthetics alone, if you like yellow...

5 out of 5 eggsgood fan, silent at 12v

Pros: It's silent from a distance of 2 feet running at 12v in an exhaust fan configuration. It moves air. Could probably serve as a lone case fan in a low-demand home/office machine. Comes with silicone noise damping mounting thingies. Looks great in my black and white case.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Took me a while to figure out the silicone mounting thingies but it was worth every minute, they're great.

Pros: Cheap, quite, works great.

Cons: It comes with two mounting options. One is conventional screws, the other is these rubberish things that you pull through the screw hole. The idea is that these will pull the fan taught to the case and eliminate any rattling noise that might be caused by ever-so-loose screws. I choose to use these and I guess they worked as intended.

About a week later I noticed a faint rattling noise that I attributed to a case fan (not necessarily this one) and went poking around my case. I decided to redo these mounts and boy was that a mistake. You can not remount this fan with these rubber mounts. As soon as you stretch them taught the second time they will break. They will snap, they will crumble. If you intend to use these then you better intend on ordering extra or never touching them ever, they are single use only.

That said I just used the screws the fan came with. They are tight and quite; no complaints.

2 out of 5 eggsSilenX 92mm Case fan

Pros: Price--it's cheap..that's about it

Cons: Doesn't move at any kind of speed to move enough air. Tried to use it on a SilenX CPU cooler, but didn't move enough air.

Other Thoughts: I'll know better next time. I pretty much had to design my own cooler out of someone else's parts that were supposed to be good, but weren't. Now I have a CPU cooler that actually works..but way too much hassle.

5 out of 5 eggsSilenX EFX-09-12 fan

Pros: Silent fan - all you hear is the hum of airflow, no motor noise.

Cons: Does not push as much air as a standard noisy fan does, however airflow is quite adequate.

Other Thoughts: Color is almost neon yellow - the blades are so bright, you can see then through fan grills. Perhaps too colorful?

5 out of 5 eggsReally silent

Pros: Really great case fan. I use SpeedFan to set fan speeds for my fans. This fan is super quiet even at 100% speed! I'm also using it as a rear exhaust fan along with my PSU (top-mounted) and it is working great together wit it.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: It pushes more air than I thought it would. I have it set to work with the CPU fan/temps and it seems to work great so far like that.

5 out of 5 eggsSilenX EFX 92mm

Pros: This is great deal on a fan of the exact speed that will not overpower the 120mm exhaust fan on my PSU but contributes well in tandem with it to exhausting the heat from my micro ATX case.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I used the screws because I wanted to really secure it for good. However, I have had many good experiences with SilenX rubber mounting pull throughs 4 of which which were dutifully supplied along with a set of 4 new screws too.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect

Pros: This moves a lot more air than a typical stock case fan, it truly is extremely quiet in reality, and the price isn't outrageous. That's all I need to buy it.

Cons: The color might not look quite right in all cases. Yellow fins in a black case with blue accents for example would like sort of odd.

Other Thoughts: The geometry involved in moving the air with this design seems to cause a more spread out airflow so if you have a really restrictive or badly cut xieve shape in your case that causes a ton of noise when air flows through it, this fan will operate quieter than one with a similar but uneven airflow.

Strangely, this 92mm model is cheaper than the 80mm at the moment.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low price
Fast Shipping
Quiet running

Cons: The short, 2 in one plug wire, coming off the fan is the only con. While one plug is attached to the motherboard or a molex connection, the other plug is left hanging there.
It's a tad annoying.

Other Thoughts: Used this fan to replace the stock, noisy fan in my PC.
For the money, this is a nice, quiet running fan, and has just enough air flow to keep the interior of my PC from building up too much hot, stale air.
