5 out of 5 eggsYou can get what you pay

Pros: SilenX does good work on designing a quieter fan than other chassis fans with similar specification. I am satisfied with the quality of the fan with lower dB so far although obtaining 42 cfm with 15 dB is not true. I don't feel the enough air exhausted compared to my old stock fan. But, my primary concern is a lower noise fan and EFX-09-15 does meet my concern so far.

Cons: As I already mentioned above, this fan does not have 42 cfm with 15 dB.

Other Thoughts: I wish I could have a color option when I ordered.

2 out of 5 eggsGoing out

Pros: It WAS really quiet. I've had this fan for several months with no problems. Then randomly it started making a really loud grinding/revving noise.

Cons: Fan seems to be going out after only a few months. It will randomly make a very loud rev noise almost like it's grinding on something. I've checked inside the case and nothing is in contact. If I sleep the computer and start it back up again, after a few tries the fan seems to go back into balance and quits making the noise. However, I can't have the fan going out on me so I will be ordering a different brand.

1 out of 5 eggsLow CFM

Pros: It is whisper quiet. Cn barely hear it when it's running, and does support voltage controlled rpm manipulation.

Cons: Definitely not the advertised cfms. I have two 80mm fans rated at 30 cfm each that push much more air than this does.

Other Thoughts: I should have known better than to buy this. There's no way one company can magically get 40+ cfm with the low rpm's they were getting and only 15db.. I should have considered it too good to be true.

1 out of 5 eggshorrible design and output is lie

Pros: quite

Cons: These don't blow anymore air than the other 2000+/- rpm fans. These don't even touch 42cfm like they claim.

Now for horrible design...the molex power cables are closed ends so you can only hook one up ^-^??? I was going to link 3 of them together so i could use them in my laptop cooler but now i have to splice these pieces of junk so that I can have all 3 work. Seriously no option to daisy chain...who designed this?

Do not buy. GARBAGE!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsgood looking fan

Pros: good looks - black/red
very good air flow

Cons: not pwm
at first, I can barely hear it. After 2 hour of stress testing, there was audible noise. Turn the fan facing downward and voila it was silent again. Will observe again.

Other Thoughts: maybe they should include a noise adapter (resistor wire) to decrease speed.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing little fan!

Pros: The fan, for it's size, pushes a lot of air. It's very quiet. The silicon mounts work well if you use them properly. The red is a nice dark red, not too bright. Will look good in many "ROG" themed cases. If you want a good, very quiet fan, you won't regret this one.

Cons: The 4-pin MOLEX connector is obtrusive in my application/usage. But seeing as it is an extension of the regular 3-pin fan header, I was able to cut off the MOLEX and use some electrical tape, and it works fawlessly.

Not a can, just point it out: The fan itself is basically dead silent. The noise you'll hear with this fan is either the air flowing around the fan bracket assembly itself, which is minimal at most, or air flowing through case openings/heatsinks. Otherwise, as I said before, this is an incredibly quiet fan.

Other Thoughts: I have two of these in my case, along with two of the SilenX Effizio 12-15's (120mm)'s in my case. One of these 92mm is an exhaust fan, the other is a replacement fan for my heatsink. I've had many other high end fans, of this same type: low noise, higher CFM. But these fans are definitely the best value I've had for it. They're cheap, they give you all the accessories you need and want, and they make a sturdy, well built, assembly, with no fling-or-flare to raise up the price.

The fan cable is not braided, but a black sleeved type cable, all together. It goes all the way into the assembly so even on the back side you don't see wire colors, just black. Nice touch.

Are there "better" fans? Possibly. Are there better fans that have a near-perfect balance of airflow and noise levels? Not in my experience; it was worth every penny.

You do NOT need to use both the 4-pin MOLEX and the 3-pin fanheader. I'd recommend using only the 3-pin if possible. Using both at the same time shouldn't; but possibly could; over-volt the fan motor and either cause it to spin faster (damaging it over time, and increasing noise levels) or actually destroy the fan motor.

5 out of 5 eggsNice quiet fan

Pros: Excellent air movement with very low noise.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bout this fan along with another brand that quoted the same db noise level, and this is by far the quiet one. I can barely hear this fan, but I feel the air moving through the system. Well done.

3 out of 5 eggsQuiet and moves barely enough air.

Pros: It's very quiet.

Cons: It doesn't push enough air in my opinion, at least for me. I have 2 of them in my case and they don't push that much more air than my old stock fans.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a quiet fan this is definitely a great option but if you need to push a lot of air I really suggest looking at other products. It's not a bad product by any means it's just not made for hardcore gaming.
