5 out of 5 eggsgreat fan so far

Pros: I needed a 100 mm fan to replace the dead one in my scythe heatsink. this does the job and pushes a decent amount of air.

Cons: the attached 4 pin cable looks bad, it should come with an adapter in place of the attached cable. not really a big deal but I really like a clean build with cable management.

Other Thoughts: It does the job and fit right into place. My cpu temps are low and I am stoked to be able to re-use/repair my existing product wich saved me about 50 bux.

5 out of 5 eggsYea Fan

Pros: Its a Fan what do you want me to say? It blows air fairly quiet and does what its suppose to.
92 mm fan guard / grill fit this fan

Cons: None so far
They do not tell you anywhere that 92 mm fan grills fit this fan. You just have to figure it out, so I saved you the worrying....you are welcome :)

Other Thoughts: Cheap bearing setup which I am sure will bite me down the road when it dies prematurely.
I bought this for Home server where I had limited space ie reason I choose 100 mm

5 out of 5 eggsquiet, but strong

Pros: *its a quiet 100MM case fan.
*can be powered and controlled by your mobo, or the 4 pin molex plug.(it only has 2 pins)

Cons: the Molex 4pin connector only has 2 pins in it. what this means is that you cant daisy chain off it. it can only be put and the end of a chain. it does have the slots for 2 more pins, but I didn't bother. its power by my mobo and works fine.

Other Thoughts: it comes with some stiff rubber mounting plugs, and a set of 4 screws. the rubble plugs are way to stiff to be shoved into a metal case, the metal would just tear them. however, they would work just fine on a plastic case.

5 out of 5 eggsDidn't work with a mod but I still like the fan.

Pros: Totally silent. Have to stick your ear up next to it to hear it. Pushes plenty of air when the intake and exhaust are unimpeded.

Cons: Apparently has insufficient static pressure to effectively drive air through a Zalman CNPS 9700. I actually have never seen a 100mm mounting point on a case or a CPU cooler before. That's less a con I suppose and more just food for thought.

Other Thoughts: It was almost a crime against hardware but, I chopped this thing out of its frame so I could mount it as a replacement fan in a Zalman CNPS9700. The original Zalman fan is far from quiet and I figured this thing would solve that. It did. Unfortunately, on the CPU it was mounted to (FX-8120), it couldn't prevent the thermal situation from escalating out of hand in a hurry. I can't fault the fan. On a CPU that pushes out less heat, the modification might be great for silencing the CNPS9700.

Not sure what I can even do with the fan now that I can only mount it using two tiny little screws :-( Oh well, it was worth the time to try it!

3 out of 5 eggsQuiet, but not exceptional

Pros: Hard to find 100mm fans. It is silent.

Cons: On a whim, I bought this to replace the stock 100mm heatsink fan that crapped out on my Shuriken. I thought the increased airflow would do wonders. What it did was raise my temps 6 degrees at idle. Luckily i bought another Scythe 100mm fan at the same time. Slapped that on and temps are back down.

Other Thoughts: Likely not buying these again for heatsink usage. Might be OK as a case fan.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Fan, as silent as advertised

Pros: I bought this needed an inexpensive fan because my motherboard kept getting hot. The new video card I'd installed was a little hotter than I anticipated. Installation was a snap and the fan worked on the first boot. It's kept the temps down and I have yet to notice any change in the sound level of my computer at all.

Cons: None so far.
