Last of its kind
Pros: I've always preferred good copper heatsinks and I'm glad I can find one for my socket 7/AMD K6-III+ setup. I can't say what the temperature difference is as the mainboard has no means of telling me but what I can say is that after running prime95 for a day and after over a year of using it I've had no issues.
Cons: -The cooler it replaced, a StarTech FANP1003LD, was a lot quieter. With the only other fan being the PSU fan, combined with a silent hard drive I had; the machine was dead silent. Obviously it's not as loud as some of the other 5-6 fan machines I have, and more air flow means more noise but I still miss the silence.
Other Thoughts: The product Features description is somewhat wrong. "AMD: Athlon & Duron up to 1 GHz" would be for a Socket A, not a Socket 7 which has a max of a 550MHz AMD K6-III+. Although from what I've read, some can be used on all three socket types, making them "Socket 370 / 7/ A".
