5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

Pros: This is a great cooler , its not too big and wont cover up your motherboards heatsinks. It is tall so if you run side case fans you might have a clearance issue depending on case. Stock fan gets the job done just fine but I opted to drop a Silenx Xtreme 120 90cfm fan on it and never looked back. It keeps my I7920 @ 4ghz with 36c idle and 42c average use . Pcmark Vantage @ 100% use didnt even take it over 48c. Very pleased. Honestly the temp difference between the stock fan and the Silenx was only 2c , but I just had to have all the fans matching and didnt want any led's anywhere. Thors Hammer would have been a nice cooler as well but considering the temps Im running at I see no point in changing a thing.

Cons: None. Great heatsink. Did not need to be lapped , razors edge straight all the way across.

Tip - If you have never had a heatsink with direct touch pipes like this one.. put your arctic silver on the heatsink to get the paste in every knook and cranny. Youll see if you buy it.

Other Thoughts: I7 920 @ 4ghz

5 out of 5 eggsEPIC

Pros: This cooler is spot on. It doesn't get much better than this without a refueling truck and a 25 gallon tank. The cooler looks wicked, the fan supplied is equally impressive. The HDT, where the heat pipes touch the actual cpu surface is perfect. See cons for the "..but"

Cons: ...but... I was sure that the large open areas on the based, between the pipes and the heatsink would allow for air and an uneven contact patch. And though this may be ture, the surface is not mirror smooth, the HDT more than make up for it. On socket AM2+ you have to mount this so it is either blowing up or down. In other words, it's longer front to back. Had to place OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) in the second channel intead of the first. My board allow this without memory spec change, but it's a bummer to be forced into a certain cooler orientation.

Other Thoughts: Running this on an AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz @3.877 GHz. CPU temps in my fairly warm 3rd level of a townhome room idle at 36c. Load is kept below 44c. This with 1.456v running through the cpu. Outperforms my ZALMAN CNPS9700, and CM Gemenii with two 110 cfm CM fans on it. Wicked indeed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

Pros: Price VS performance. Similar performance to more expensive coolers i.e. TRUE
Keeps the i7 920 oc to 3.8 at 38c idle and never seen 54c fully loaded.

Cons: Only if you don't have one

Other Thoughts: Need to purchase the additional mounting kit for the 1336

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler

Pros: Was very skeptical of this cooler at first. Never heard of Xigmatek, but the features of this unit intrigued me, and now I am glad I took the chance.

This cooler sits on a Wolfdale E5200 (2.5Ghz stock) @ 3.12Ghz, and the cpu has never been above 40C. The heatpipes sit directly on the cpu core instead of having a metal block between them and the cpu core (which hinders heat transfer).

The mounting system is bolt-thru which is another bonus. The 120mm fan has white LED's which seemed weird at first, but now I am growing to like the way they look on the black fan. Since the case doesn't have a window and sits on the ground, it really doesn't make a difference.

Cons: The finish on the bottom where the heatpipes touch the cpu core aren't mirror-smooth (lapped). I'm not sure what kind of paint or coating is on the unit either, but I'd rather have the bottom contact area as smooth and free of anything but the heatpipes as possible.

Unit is taller than most people are used to, and in smaller cases like Coolermaster Elite 330, can pose a challenge if you have fan on side of case (I had to move it to outside of side panel).

Other Thoughts: Very very impressed with this cooler. I'd definitely buy another one, and would definitely recommend to a friend/customer. So many great heatsinks on the market these days, but this one is unique in design and looks fantastic. Cools fantastic as well.

5 out of 5 eggsworth the buy

Pros: Anyone Looking at Xigmatek coolers this the one to get......why you ask? Originally I was lookin at the xigmatek hdt but I hate the bolt in brackets. This baby here comes with the screw in bracket. Instead of having to buy the extra bracket which ends up being more expensive then this. Its well worth it.Also this baby keeps my O.C.ed quad very very COOL... Love it.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I like the black too. Just to mention it fits in an antec three hundred case just fine. Its on a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P

5 out of 5 eggswhoa...

Pros: great cooler! dropped my temps from:

34C Idle - 67C load
to
22C Idle - 36C load.

simply awesome.

Cons: Nothing. Seriously.

Other Thoughts: Once I got this cooler I was able to OC my Q6600 to 3.4Ghz no problem. My vcore is up to 1.46 too and heat still isnt even close to being a problem.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Comes with back plate for lga 775 applications, along with mounting for am2. Looks awesome! Seems to be doing a nice job so far cooling a AMD 6000+ over clocked to 3.3ghz.

Cons: It covered 2 of my four ram slots, using an Asus M3N78 PRO motherboard. Didnt bother me because I was using 4gigs 2x2 sticks.

Other Thoughts: Put it in a antec 300 fits nicely inside!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great without modification. Cheapest HDT type cooler worth buying. The Dark Knight version comes with the bolt thru kit, unlike the regular model. Keeps my e8400 cool even when OC'd. Also, it looks great in my case.

Cons: I don't understand why these massive, high end coolers come with cheap white TIM. It makes as much sense as buying a Porsche and running regular unleaded in it.

Also (and this isn't so much a con as an FYI) this thing is huge. I mean seriously, really big. Make sure your case is wide enough to support it. It came within a hair of touching the side panel in my CM Centurion 5, and my CM 690 isn't much better (maybe 3/4 to 1 inch of clearance).

Other Thoughts: This cooler is able to compete with some water cooling systems. If you want the ultimate in air cooling, grab this and a tube of Arctic Silver or MX-2 and you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsVery "cool"

Pros: Dropped temps on my cpu by 30C!!!!
It's also very nice looking. the newegg pics don't do it any justice. Also, it has never even felt warm when touching it, always very cold. I have my c2q 9300 at 3.6GHz@1.34V and with this it runs at 20C idle, 40C load!

Cons: Manual, like everyone else says, is not good. also, I REALLY recommend installing when mobo is out of case. I have the cooler master 932 haf, and installing with backplate was easy (kinda), but getting the fan on there was horrible. much easier if its all done outside the case.

Other Thoughts: used w/ arctic silver. also, its not heavy at all, i was very surprised at how light it is. and make sure u have see-through vents in front of ur pc. i have the cooler master 932 haf and this puppy lights up the whole case, it looks great.
