Great Cooler
- Pros: This is a great cooler , its not too big and wont cover up your motherboards heatsinks. It is tall so if you run side case fans you might have a clearance issue depending on case. Stock fan gets the job done just fine but I opted to drop a Silenx Xtreme 120 90cfm fan on it and never looked back. It keeps my I7920 @ 4ghz with 36c idle and 42c average use . Pcmark Vantage @ 100% use didnt even take it over 48c. Very pleased. Honestly the temp difference between the stock fan and the Silenx was only 2c , but I just had to have all the fans matching and didnt want any led's anywhere. Thors Hammer would have been a nice cooler as well but considering the temps Im running at I see no point in changing a thing.
- Cons: None. Great heatsink. Did not need to be lapped , razors edge straight all the way across.
Tip - If you have never had a heatsink with direct touch pipes like this one.. put your arctic silver on the heatsink to get the paste in every knook and cranny. Youll see if you buy it.

- Pros: This cooler is spot on. It doesn't get much better than this without a refueling truck and a 25 gallon tank. The cooler looks wicked, the fan supplied is equally impressive. The HDT, where the heat pipes touch the actual cpu surface is perfect. See cons for the "..but"
- Cons: ...but... I was sure that the large open areas on the based, between the pipes and the heatsink would allow for air and an uneven contact patch. And though this may be ture, the surface is not mirror smooth, the HDT more than make up for it. On socket AM2+ you have to mount this so it is either blowing up or down. In other words, it's longer front to back. Had to place OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) in the second channel intead of the first. My board allow this without memory spec change, but it's a bummer to be forced into a certain cooler orientation.
- Other Thoughts: Running this on an AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz @3.877 GHz. CPU temps in my fairly warm 3rd level of a townhome room idle at 36c. Load is kept below 44c. This with 1.456v running through the cpu. Outperforms my ZALMAN CNPS9700, and CM Gemenii with two 110 cfm CM fans on it. Wicked indeed.
Great Cooler
- Pros: Price VS performance. Similar performance to more expensive coolers i.e. TRUE
Keeps the i7 920 oc to 3.8 at 38c idle and never seen 54c fully loaded.
