5 out of 5 eggsgreat service and costumer care

Pros: the product was sound and shipped quickly
unfortunetly the Memony i ordered came whit built on heat disapators i refused to removed the manufacters heat sink in order not do risk damaging the memory modual
needed to return those great looking heat sinks.

Cons: none i could see from this product just insure the memory you get is whit out heat disapator in order to use this product.
restocking fee may have been slightly high but atleast they took the product back.

Other Thoughts: highly rcommand not attempting to replace the pre-installed heat disapators you highly risk dammaging the memory modual i tested this over a 100 times and i have a high success rate but 65% approx so be ready for multiple tries, dispite what you may see on u-tube or other channels they do not advertise their faillures trust me it`s not worth the lost.

4 out of 5 eggsRequired some modification

Pros: These coolers are very effective at keeping my FB-DDR2 5300 RAM at a manageable temperature. The memory in my server gets VERY hot, and the stock heat spreaders don't cut it. I haven't got a cooler on every piece yet, but by installing them in alternating slots I've managed to isolate each heat source and reduce overall temperatures. Plus they look awesome.

Cons: These coolers do NOT fit my FB-DDR2 RAM, due to the protruding ECC module on one side. However, I managed to make them fit with some modifications. These modifications were QUITE involved, so I advise anyone purchasing these for fully buffered RAM to look elsewhere, unless they are comfortable cutting/bending metal to rig these coolers up so they fit over the ECC module. Also, they are quite expensive. Almost as expensive as the RAM itself.

Other Thoughts: I read some other reviews about how they can't fit memory in each slot due to the size of the coolers, but I had no problem. The directions clearly state to alternate orientation on each stick of RAM so the top heatsinks are not all on the same side. However, on my particular board (Intel 5000PSL) there are capacitors right next to the first RAM slot and the bottom matte black part of the cooler prevents the RAM from seating properly. It may work if I attach the cooler slightly higher up on the RAM, but as I stated earlier I had to rig these coolers up to get them to fit my ECC RAM, so taking them off and reattaching them is a multi-hour process that I have yet to attempt.

3 out of 5 eggsBuy at you own sanity

Pros: keep RAM cool, once you get them installed

Cons: Instructions are so bad that I almost gave up on the install. They make no sense and leave out important aspects to the install. "Tear off type from Conductive silicon membranes, and paste up Conductive Conductive membranes on RAM mudule". That is what you have to deal with in the instruction, no mention on which side you peal off, the thick plastic, or the thin plastic covering on the silicon tape.
On step number #3, they leave out the fact that you have to unscrew the modules and separate them . The modules which are torqued so tight I had to use a vise-grip to turn the Phillips head screw driver, to loosen the screws, do not line-up right, and you will bend some of the cooling fins. Finally the "silicon" tape is not sticky and you have to be extra careful when putting the memory into the sockets as these cooling modules will move causing the memory become encased within this item.

Other Thoughts: Would I buy again? Nope, there are better designed heat sinks out there, with instructions that make sense.

Pros: * Gets the job done, although there isn't much to accomplish
* Ep33n booster

Cons: * The aluminum fins attached to the heatpipes above the module get loose from their glueing to the heatpipe after a while. Just apply some hot glue or some obstruction in front of the fins where the heatpipe begins to bend around and you won't have any problems

5 out of 5 eggsgreat buy

Pros: easy to install, does what they are meant to do very well, very good looking with a nice mat black finish

Cons: the little fins on the top of the cooler(not the heat pipe fins) are a bit bendy and push down easy when pushing on the ram to instal them, may get in the way of large air coolers ie ZALMAN CNPS10X FLEX i was unable to fit the front push fan to the cooler, some sticks of ram that are sold with heatsinks pre attatched can be a b!$@& to remove just take it slow as to not damage the memory modules

Other Thoughts: i highly recommend these ram coolers to any enthusiasts that are overclocking there ram or to anyone that is experiencing high ram temps

3 out of 5 eggsNot compatible

Pros: this does work with standard Ram

Cons: Does not work with Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR2 FB-DIMM ECC Fully Buffered DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Server Memory Model CT2KIT51272AF80E

Other Thoughts: I purchased this product because my professional machine takes FB-Dimm DDR2 800 modules listed above. The issue with this RAM is that it runs super hot. When i saw the Dragoon cooler worked on DDR2 i jumped the gun and ordered it thinking it would be the answer to my heat issue. I didn't realize the FB-DIMM RAM has one side with a center chip sticking out farther than the others. This prevents the cooler rails from making contact with all but the center chip on this side rendering this cooler useless on this type of Ram. I put it in my other machine with standard/non server RAM and it works beautifully, Unfortunately i didn't have a heat issue with the other machine.

5 out of 5 eggsCan use with 6 dimms

Pros: Amazing heat dissipation. 12GB of Corsair dominator DDR3 runs much cooler

Cons: A bit tight as has been stated, but more than makes up for this "con" with cooling

Other Thoughts: Installation was fun, I was a bit worried but I thought I'd give it a shot after reading the reviews of how it wouldn't fit. The trick, if you can call it that, is just making sure to alternate the heatsinks (e.g.: one up, one down, one up....) and this makes a rather nice alternating visual as well.

4 out of 5 eggsCan't use with 4 DIMMS

Pros: Keeps the RAM frosty!

Cons: If you put in 4 sticks of RAM you cannot install 4 of these... the contact plates and heat sinks are too thick.

Other Thoughts: Well... 2 of my 4 sicks of ram are frosty!

4 out of 5 eggsToo thick to fill

Pros: Very nice heat sinks and spreaders. I have a LIAN LI case that doesn't have enough air flow and these little charms brought the temperature down on the memory just enough to let me overclock.

Cons: You need to buy RAM without spreaders installed or you need to figure out how you are going to remove the original spreader. Either way, the dragoon coolers are thick enough that it isn't possible to put memory in every bank on my ASUS P6X58D. So, I am somewhat limited to just filling 3 of the 6 slots. If I could get the heat spreaders off my Corsair chips, I might be able to force fit the other slots in.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Quality, looks, effectiveness.

Cons: None!!!

Other Thoughts: Bought these for my Balistic Tracer memory sticks which I noticed were really hot to the touch, at moderate load. Cools them down good!!
