The new Xigmatek XLF Series of 140mm system fans continues the company's innovative design focus to provide advanced features and performance while maintaining excellent value to the end user. XLF Series is created with attention and detail, and not only does it look prestige from every angle it is manufactured with impeccable performance.

The XLF Series fan comes standard with 4 white LEDs insuring your case fan to be the center of attraction.

The XLF features a high quality "Fluid Circulative Bearing" which is tested to increase its lifespan by 50%. The Fluid Circulative Bearing uses a remarkable re-circulative fluid method which enables the bearing to rotate at a high and stable revs, reaching rotations up to 2200 RPM. Unlike average bearings on the market, FCB will cancel out 98.9% friction which means in practical everyday usage this ultimately produces a near silent atmosphere (<25 dBA).

5 out of 5 eggsFans cool quite nicely

Pros: These fans are great. They push a lot of air and aren't loud at all. They look great and will match anything since it has white leds.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I would highly recomend this product.

4 out of 5 eggsNot really 25mm thick.

Pros: The fan is quiet with excellent med/high-capacity airflow.

As opposed to a clear frame, this fan's dark, smoky frame does manage to ever-so-slightly hinder LED light bleed in all directions.

The fan will start at a 5V fan controller setting. (Tested on two 5V-12V controllers.)

Cons: While the frame of this fan is technically 25mm thick, mounting it as anintake results in a 26mm depth. If you look very closely at the mounting holes on the intake side, you will see that the hole has a slightly raised edge, or lip. It is this raised lip that makes this fan 26mm thick when used in intake applications.

The additional 1mm thickness affects the fan's ability to fit in slip-in/clip-in fan mounting frames, such as those found in the front-panel of Fractal Design's Define R4 case, or in the bottom panel of a Cooler Master CM-690. (I tested this fan in the slip-in/clip-in mounts of both cases, and it wouldn't fit in either one as an intake application, but fit just fine when flipped to an exhaust application.)

The raised holes on the intake side also means that this fan will not mount perfectly flush to any surface when used as an intake. Instead, a narrow gap always exists. The unfortunate side-effect to such a gap is that the fan could potentially draw some air from within the case. This effect would be compounded should it ever become easier for the fan to pull air through the gap than through a panel's opening if it were to become obstructed, such as if a filter were to clog.

Other Thoughts: The LEDs are white, but the blue fan blades give the lighting a blue tint. I'm not certain this is a plus or minus, but potential owners should be aware.

The wiring is tightly twisted, which allows easy routing. However, I would have preferred the wiring were sleeved. The multi-colored wiring simply isn't attractive if/when left exposed.

Due to the "Cons" I listed, I haven't decided if I'm going to keep the pair of these fans I purchased, or return/exchange them for something else.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible rebate process and noisy fan

Pros: leds?

Cons: 1. Rebate : do not expect to get anything back from this company. I submitted two rebates and none of them was processed.

email them and call them to resubmit. I got their response (by email) two months after I asked questions. (was surprised they actually answered even after two months)

2. Noise: When I changed PSU to seasonic X850 last night, I finally realized more than 90% of noise from my system came from this 140mm fan. I removed the fan and test, now it's super quite.

I have four 120mm fans (including two on the CPU cooler hyper 212 plus) and ati 7870 asus DCII

Other Thoughts: I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

3 out of 5 eggsNot 4 Horizontal Mounting

Pros: Quiet when mounted vertically. Moves a good amount of air.

Cons: Vibrates when mounted horizontally. Bought 3 for top-mounting in Xigmatek case. All 3 vibrated bad enough to cause an audible case rattle.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Fan

Pros: Nice LED Lights

Cons: It does not blow air in the middle. Air are push through the sides.

Other Thoughts: Instead of having air blowing from the middle, air are pushed out the sides making it bad for a side panel fan.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Fan

Pros: Works as expected and the fan light is ascetically pleasing.

Cons: System fan connector is a little short, but that isn't annoying enough to take off an egg

Other Thoughts: Worth getting if you need to replace/add a fan, but the fan light may not be appealing to some. Personally I liked it.

3 out of 5 eggsVery Quiet Great buy

Pros: Silent running Good Air Pressure.. Lighted fans

Cons: Fan Lights are not symmetrical.

Other Thoughts: The Lights are not that Symmetrical ... That being said.. Internally or as Push pull fans these would be a BREEZE.. LOL..

3 out of 5 eggsnice but noisy

Pros: like the blue light and I like the length of the wire.

Cons: it is the loudest thing in my new computer case, by far. having said that... i will clarify.. its not obnoxiously super loud? its not horrible, but it is defiantly audible.. my case is extremely quiet with this fan unplugged.

Other Thoughts: defiantly loud enough that whenever your composing something and you pause to think about the next sentence... you only hear this fan from your computer.

Very nice. It's quiet, and moves a bunch of air.
