2 out of 5 eggsDo NOT believe the rebate from Xigmatek

Pros: A decent cooling solution for my LGA 1156 i7 on P55 MB with beautiful LED lights

Cons: When I decide to go with this particular brand, the $20 mail-in-rebate played an important role. Within 11 months after the submission of my rebate, I called their custom service twice. Every time they promised me that they will send me rebate right away, and they never did.

Other Thoughts: The bottom line is: Xigmatek produces good products. But with so many options of CPU coolers and case fans, I will never trust the mail-in-rebate from Xigmatek.

3 out of 5 eggsNice, but doesn't fit my MB

Pros: Looks nice, good build quality. It looks like it would work fine if it would fit.

Cons: Doesn't fit on a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 if all four memory slots are in use. If it could be turned 90 degrees, like when used on Intel CPUs, it would fit fine, but there is only one orientation allowed with an AMD CPU and it puts the fins right into the memory slots.

Other Thoughts: The fins on this cooler are tall, so unless you have a very wide case you won't be able to have a fan mounted on the case side right above the CPU and also have this cooler fit.

1 out of 5 eggsNO REBATE

Pros: Works as advertised for stock settings on AMD 4x core Deneb Black 965. Install mostly painless on GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 mobo.

Cons: Absurd rebate system. No reasonable window of time to put product into use, you are required to destroy the packaging almost upon the day of delivery, invalidating any RMA options.

Then the rebate mysteriously gets "lost" in the mail. Criminal bait & switch scam. Same issue with two case fans bought at the same time for the same build. Three separate rebates all "lost" for a total of $40. Base theft and nothing more. Once burned, never a customer again. Buh-bye, XIGMATEK.

Other Thoughts: Bought this exact model specifically for the price + rebate, which should have been $24, beating out comparable cooling blocks at $35 and up.

But, no rebate, so this ended up being ~25% more expensive than other options, not including two other rebates that were also "lost." Never will buy XIGMATEK again. Criminal scam operation.

Bought with the intention to overclock (hopefully up to 4.2 GHz), but haven't played with that yet. No time yet and a stable system is more important at the moment.

5 out of 5 eggsGot My Rebate!

Pros: Great Cooler for my overclocked AMD Hexacore 1050T. Don't hesitate, idles at 37C. Full load upper 50's.

Cons: Took a long time to get the rebate but it did arrive.

Other Thoughts: I had previously written 2 reviews on this, the first about how great it is and the second about not getting the rebate. Well I did get my rebate so I apologize Xigmatek and thank You.

4 out of 5 eggsGood but need something else

Pros: Large air flow. Silent.

Cons: Need additional AMD installing kit, if you want to make it at horizontal position.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy installation and not too big. Cooling is excellent, my core i5 760 is clocked to 4ghz with 1.4vc and load temps under prime 95 stress test only peaks around 68c after 8hrs of testing.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: For the money this is a great cooler!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

Pros: It cools really well and looks fantastic. Installing it on an AMD board was easy and the antivibration fan mounts were nice.

Cons: the installation in a intel system would be much harder. also, with the AM3 socket, it can only be oriented so that the fan is horizontal, not vertical.

Other Thoughts: after rebate, the cost came out to $17. Real cheap and great quality.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great and with the current rebate it is a great buy.

Cons: The instructions for the Intel and AMD chipset could be clearer, but it does not take too long to figure it out.

3 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: Price if got rebate. Nice LED on the fan!!

Cons: Have no buckle for AM3 CPU, so it has to blow vertically.
Really painful to have rubber stuck into metal pieces to fix the fan.

Other Thoughts: Have not tested cooling performance yet. Good when CPU is idle.
