The new Xigmatek XLF Series of 140mm system fans continues the company's innovative design focus to provide advanced features and performance while maintaining excellent value to the end user. XLF Series is created with attention and detail, and not only does it look prestige from every angle it is manufactured with impeccable performance.

The XLF Series fan comes standard with 4 white LEDs insuring your case fan to be the center of attraction.

The XLF features a high quality "Fluid Circulative Bearing" which is tested to increase its lifespan by 50%. The Fluid Circulative Bearing uses a remarkable re-circulative fluid method which enables the bearing to rotate at a high and stable revs, reaching rotations up to 2200 RPM. Unlike average bearings on the market, FCB will cancel out 98.9% friction which means in practical everyday usage this ultimately produces a near silent atmosphere (<25 dBA).

1 out of 5 eggsshake, rattle and roll.

Pros: nice bright white leds.

Cons: Making an occasional rattling noise now and again.

Other Thoughts: I purchased the xigmatek gaia cpu cooler and put this fan on for push-pull configuration. Unfortunately, less than a month into owning this thing, it will occasionally just start making a rattling noise.

The cpu cooler only came with enough mounts for two fans, so even if i chose to replace it, there's no way for me to mount a replacement fan.

My choices are to deal with the rattling, or yank it off and use only the single fan. In other words, not a great position to be in.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's a fan!

Pros: LEDs are actually white. Seems to move air pretty well. Not as loud as many other reviews seems to say. Matches my other fans in my case *See below*

Cons: This fan came with only 3 of 4 LEDs working, not a big deal but it would be nice if all 4 worked. Feels cheaper than the other fans I have in my case which are the *XLF-F1254*

Other Thoughts: I bought this fan for 1 reason, to match the other fans in my machine, it does that well. Still seems like the older model was better built but it is no longer available.

4 out of 5 eggsRecord-Setting Rebate Slowness

Pros: No problems noted. Appears to function adequately in all respects and as advertised.

Cons: The $5 rebate took THIRTEEN MONTHS! The check was dated almost seven weeks before it arrived. At today's interest rates, was it really worth it for XigmaTek to hold my FIVE DOLLARS hostage for thirteen months? What did that net them? A whole penny?

5 out of 5 eggsTier 1 CPU fan from a Tier 1 Company

Pros: Have two of these in push pull paired with a Dark Knight II and they are silent @ load. Color, Brand and the LED's are the icing 8)

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: If your fan is noisy then YES it's defective cause I can barely hear mine. They run at the rated speed and noise level, have purchased around 8 of these and only one started to vibrate after a year or so of HEAVY use. A fan is a fan, there is always a chance of getting a defective one.

1 out of 5 eggsVERY NOISY!

Pros: Inexpensive, white LED's are a nice change from usual colored ones.

Cons: Contrary to the claims in the mfr-supplied propaganda: "Unlike average bearings on the market, FCB will cancel out 98.9% friction which means in practical everyday usage this ultimately produces a near silent atmosphere (<25 dBA).".... this fan is just plain LOUD. Then in the detailed specs it promises >20 dBA. I'd unwisely bought two in rapid succession and then discovered that they're both just as loud as each other. Fortunately I can return the second easily but will have to ask for consideration/help from NewEgg for the first one...

Other Thoughts: I don't have a dBA meter, but I highly doubt these fans are staying even close to the promise of <20 dBA. Since internet buying means having to shop by specs, I will now make sure I only get ones that promise <15 dBA in hopes that they can at least stay below ~20 dBA...
