The new Xigmatek CLF Crystal Series of 140mm system fans continues the company's innovative design focus to provide advanced features and performance while maintaining excellent value to the end user. CLF Series is created with attention and detail, and not only does it look prestige from every angle it is manufactured with impeccable performance.

The CLF Series fan comes standard with quad LEDs incorporated with transparent frame and blades insuring your case fan to be the center of attraction.

The CLF features a high quality "Fluid Circulative Bearing" which is tested to increase its lifespan by 50%. The Fluid Circulative Bearing uses a remarkable re-circulative fluid method which enables the bearing to rotate at a high and stable revs, reaching rotations up to 1500 RPM. Unlike average bearings on the market, FCB will cancel out 98.9% friction which means in practical everyday usage this ultimately produces a near silent atmosphere (<20 dBA).

3 out of 5 eggsDecent and Good Looking

Pros: They look great, are relatively quiet, and move some air. My case is kept very cool and I've never had a temperature problem.

Cons: For the price, I wasn't super impressed with them. While they're quieter than the stock fans on my case, their sound profile isn't the most pleasing - a slightly audible mid-range hum combined with the louder sound of air being broken by the fan blades. They certainly sound louder than 16db. I expected a slight hum, but the note of it makes it more audible than it should be. The sound of airflow is louder than the hum, which I attribute to excess turbulence due to the shape of the straight fan blades. I expected a bit more out of a high-end fan and took off 2 eggs.

Other Thoughts: It's worth noting that these fans aren't designed for static pressure applications like heatsinks and water cooler radiators. In fact, the airflow of these fans is rather spread out around the outside of the fan and blows away from it in all directions instead of straight forward. Because of this, it doesn't feel like they move 60CFM - just something to keep in mind.

I maybe nitpicking here, but I truly expected more from an expensive fan that rates itself as under 16db. With all that said, these fans keep my case rather cool, but I think I'll try another brand next time when shopping for high-end fans.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fans

Pros: I bought 6 of these to go in my computer quite a while ago and they are all still running great. None of the LEDs have gone out on any of them either.

Cons: I run these on a fan controller and I would recommend you do the same, the sound isn't terrible like some other fans I've owned but still, being able to turn them way down when your not gaming is really nice

Other Thoughts: Don't expect having 6 of these with 4 purple LEDs a piece will light up your case in the slightest because they defiantly wont

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little fan

Pros: Works great and is so quite that when I was testing it before installing it in the computer I did not notice it was on.

Cons: It would have been nice if they included black screws since purple is usually paired with black cases.

5 out of 5 eggsThis XIGMATEK 140mm Fan in Purple

Pros: Comes with 4 screws plus an 18" 4 pin molex adapter, it's very quiet and the cable from the fan to the 3 pin plug is sleeved in black.

Cons: Won't wake me up in the morning, like me other case fan use too. Thank Goodness!!!!

Other Thoughts: Did I mention that the LED's are "Purple"?

2 out of 5 eggsWierd noise

Pros: Good airflow.

Cons: I mounted it firmly in my case, nothing is loose, and it makes a consistent vibrating sound as if the screws are loose. It sounds kinda close to an old hard drive spinning as it loads stuff.

Other Thoughts: I'm sure it's just mine.

5 out of 5 eggsNVxPC

Pros: They spin, they move air, quiet, and they aren't the common blue or red, they are perfect right in the middle of those two colors. My client loved the build.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsSeems good so far

Pros: The Lavender color is great. Very slight UV effect, particularly with UV-reactive green. UV-blue seems subdued, perhaps the color similarity.

The fan itself is silent: no perceptable mechanical noise what-so-ever.

Straight blades look different, cool.

They flow A LOT of air. I bought two, but could easily get by with one, or both at half speed.

Cons: The fanblades sound like they're "beating" the air. Actually its kiind of an annoying sound: not just airflow, but a rough sound, like an airplane propeller. For all the work that went into making the bearings and motor quiet, this seems a bit of an overlook.

Other Thoughts: I just bought these for a build up of a G5 case. Since they're clear, I wanted them up-front where you could see them, but also see through them with the UV effect helping out the ccfl blacklights. Still, silence it the most important bit, so we'll see about slowing these down somewhat.

5 out of 5 eggsPurple_Mini_ITX_Build

Pros: I put replaced the Lian Li 140 - 120 stock fans in my 08B case, used purple sleeving, tie wraps, heat shrink. These are a pleasant lavender not an annoying bright purple. Have a purple keyboard, mouse, pad. It looks good with my AKASA All In One - 2 fan control panel.

Cons: none for the $ cheap & Perty
