4 out of 5 eggsEasy Install works great

Pros: click, click, installed. that easy! < $10 this was priced better than the standard fan!

Cons: Not much better than the standard fan.

4 out of 5 eggsGood but not Great

Pros: Quiet fan, fits nicely in my mATX case, done not interfere with my ram for the "MSI 880GMA-E55 AM3 AMD" MOBO and "G.SKILL Ripjaws X Model F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH".

Cons: A little on the warm side for my preference, but we shall see if that gets worse.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace the stock cooler (very loud) on my AMD 1090T CPU and I have found this to work just fine for normal operations. However when gaming it runs consistently in the max temp (about 58) range for my CPU (50-62 C). Might need to replace my top side fans to bring more air into the case, all in all I would recommend this to anyone looking to replace their standard cooler.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the effort

Pros: Looks kinda neat-o?

Cons: Terrible finish on base, I'm a machinist by tade, and you'd almost have to be TRYING to make something so rippled. I filed, then lapped it to a smooth finish, but even at that temps went up from my stock PhenomII cooler.

NO LED'S! Although it looks like Xigmatek's white-led orange-bladed fans, this one does NOT lightup, and thusly looks as lame as it is...

Other Thoughts: Bought this because I like orange and already had Xigmatek's matching (seeming) case fans. After having to wait, and put in exta effort, I've got no show bonus, and a DECREASE in performance.

Do yourself a favor, and if you're gonna do it, go through the effort, etc, just get a nice Zalman like you know you wanna.

3 out of 5 eggsworks but shabby instructions and hardware

Pros: keeps my temps at 22 degrees c.. quit operation

Cons: well where do i start firs the hardware and install directions might as well been left out of the box. the plastic grommets are trash . combined some of my old parts to get this to fit right . uses old screws and springs .from the old cooler. if you've never put one of these on before you will have a difficult time. took some home home engineering to get it on correctly . i took of 2 eggs for the bad instructions and crumby hardware. but over all it does run quit and cool once installed .

Other Thoughts: just be careful not to bend the fins. tight fit on amd processor. almost too tight

4 out of 5 eggsSilenx EFZ-92HA2 dressed up

Pros: Solid design for processors that are rated <95w TDP. Quiet compared to most effective options that are this size.

Cons: The fan may be different, but the actual structure of the heatsink is not manufactured by Xiagmatek- or at least not exclusively by them. The Silenx EFZ-92HA2 is identical in all but color for half the price. I had to actually google and confirm what I immediately had suspected upon seeing the cooler in person. Neither are bad coolers, but I think that it's fair to not expect this one to measure up to usual Xiagmatek quality standards.

5 out of 5 eggsBeyond Entry Level Indeed!

Pros: This is an EXCELLENT choice for slimline/low profile PC builds, budget builds or something to just test recent motherboard builds. With the right thermal grease/adhesive, she can be pushed a little harder...

Cons: It's no big brother heatsink like Thor's Hammer or the Dark Knight, Loki or Gaia (the newest heatsinks). That's where the line is drawn. If you want to OC with a dual fan/heatsink, that's the direction I would go...

Other Thoughts: Otherwise step up to liquid cooling. There are several ways of doing it, just sit down and map out your budget. Thanks to Ximgatek and Corsair, ANYBODY can build an easy liquid cooled CPU system.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget cooler!

Pros: Very Cheap
Nice design
UV Reactive Fan Blades (It does not state this but put some LED's or a UV light and this fan will glow!)
Compatible with all cpu sockets that i use for customer builds.
Great cooling performance! (I use Gelid Thermal Paste)
Very silent fan operation (Max rpms is a tad loud but nothing compaired to a delta fan)

Cons: None. This is a budget cooler for budget CPU's it IS NOT MEANT to cool high performance CPU's nor meant to be able to cool overclocked CPU's. This is a standard fan for low-end budget PC's.

Other Thoughts: The amount of horrible ratings on this is insane i have purchased many of these and made budget systems for customers and not one i have had a problem with. I build Intel Core 2 Duo / Quad Socket 775 and AMD Athlon II systems using these coolers and they work great.

2 out of 5 eggsDo not buy!

Pros: The fan bearings never went out, and i guess it did keep it cooler than no fan. Worked well enough after I lapped it...

Cons: Terrible cooler. Bottom makes poor contact with cpu. Used Arctic Silver 5 with an Athlon 3200 Venice. Temps soared into the 60's. Used it earlier on a Core 2 E7500, it burnt up after a month. Put it on a Pentium 820 replacment, I couldn't install windows without it overheating!

I lapped it(somewhat) and put it in my recycled 754 based Halo/Minecraft server. Temps still ran in the mid 50's with minimal processor load.

Not to mention, this is very fragile and sharp, easy to cut your finger on, and easily damaged -drop it and its over-

Also louder than stock fan.

Other Thoughts: I bought the gray version of this for $15 2 years ago, because the heatsink off my old HP would not fit on my biostar board. I was very disappointed. I cut out the mounts on the LGA775 mounting brick, and pulled the stock cooler from my sister's old computer. The 820 worked until the day I sold it.

Cooler master sells a heatsink similar but slightly better than the stock one for LGA 775/1556/1555. Masscool sells a heatsink for AMD processors,(origional 754 based, better than the new one). They are both $10. If you need a stock replacment cooler, get one of them.

If you need a cheap preformace cooler, get the Cooler master 80mm copper fan for LGA($15) or AMD($17), or the Hyper 212 for around $25.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Cool looking orange fan

Cons: Terrible clip design, hard to install, base imperfect, loudest fan in the system by far, and it does a lousy job at cooling a 65 watt TDP CPU.

Other Thoughts: This thing is a hunk of junk, buy anything else.
