Pros: I have been building systems since 1992. As a rule I always use AS#5, I saw the XIGMATEK PTI-G4512
in a sale ad from Newegg and decided to give it a try. It is very easy to apply (do not use paddle that comes
with the thermal compound) and applies even easier than AS#5. However, even though it does a great
job at the start in both my Intel and AMD test rigs it seemed to let temperatures rise in the 3 month (90 day)
test. Did not rise a lot but on average it was 2-3 degree Celsius rise. AS#5 dropped 2-3 degree Celsius
at the end of the same long test. Would I recommend XIGMATEK PTI-G4512 ?. Yes, absolutely because
even with the rise in temps it was still holding temperatures in a very safe range.

Cons: In my case just about half of the big (big by comparison with AS#5 syringe) plastic syringe
that holds the thermal compound was a very big air bubble. Looks like you do not get as
much product as the big syringe would by appearance would seem to give you..

Other Thoughts: All in all a very competitive thermal compound with mostly good effectiveness.
Small cons do not detract from the product. I will still prefer Artic Silver #5 over
XIGMATEK PTI-G4512 for my own reasons, but you need to make your own
decision on the matter of what thermal compound you choose to use..

Cons: Just not a good product. I have been building systems for 20 years+ and I did not like how hard this stuff was to spread and it just did not seem to work well to cool my CPU.

Other Thoughts: I have used just about everything and I hoped this product would live up to the hype, but it did not. I just replaced it with some other name brand compound and I am running Prime95 30 minutes now and the other compound dropped my temps from 67c to 60c using stock cooling on a 125w processor (X4 955 BE OC'd to 3.5.

Pros: Comes in an easy to apply syringe and includes a small spade but I did not use it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Put a small bead in the center of the CPU and affix the heatsink. There will be plenty left over for other applications.

Other Thoughts: Spreader not necessary, the tried and true BB sized dot method works just fine.

This has been my go TIM for about the last 2 years. I read a thermal paste roundup review and figured I would give it a shot. I haven't looked back since.

Being a water-cooling enthusiast I have tried my fair share of TIM over the years. I am telling the truth that temperature matters to me because the faint of heart do not put their i7 processors in a vice to remove the IHS, and then proceed to hit them with a woodblock and hammer....all to lower operating temperatures.

There are better TIM out there...there aren't many and they can have disadvantages. This TIM requires no break in period, is non-conductive, and non-corrosive. The few extra degrees you MIGHT drop with something that is potentially harmful if misused just doesn't make sense to me.

Give it a shot, I bet you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Cheap, easy to apply, includes a nice spreader, and easy to remove. Have been using this pastes for about 3 Years and just love it. Used it on all of watercooling setups and GPUs.

Pros: Low price for the performance. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive by a long shot. My idle temps on my 2500k cooled by a Corsair H80 went from 28C to 21C, but I also did a thorough cleaning of my fans and radiator while I was stripping my system to reapply the thermal paste.

Cons: Doing this is always a pain in the @ss, but that's not the paste's fault.

Other Thoughts: As mentioned, my idle temps dropped 7 C, which is fairly significant. But I also thoroughly cleaned my Corsair H80 (fully cleaned both fans and ran water through the radiator fins until it looked brand new). When I removed the H80 unit it looked like the stock paste didn't have the greatest application coverage so if I had to guess the new paste contributed to most of the temperature drop, and the cleaning maybe 1-2 celcius (it was pretty dusty). So if you have a corsair H80 and it's time for the "annual tear the case apart and clean the hell out of everything", give this paste a shot, seems to be a good upgrade.

Pros: I've heard some bad and good reviews on this stuff.
Currently I have an FX-8320 @4Ghz and I hover around 20-30C just doing normal tasks. Lower if It's idle. Playing games achieves around 37F.

I absolutely love the container it comes in. It actually has a screw-on cap.

Cons: It's not blue, haha. Love blue.

Pros: Performs as well as other name brand compounds with no curing time. No oily texture, easy to apply and spread. A little thinner than Arctic Silver 5, which is a good thing.

Cons: That dang air pocket in the syringe!

Other Thoughts: Although the tube isn't completely filled by volume, it still ends up being an alright value. These things are sold by weight, don't forget that.
Don't waste your time with the spreader. You'll be wasting product and it will spread well on its own if you apply and seat you cooler correctly.
Oh, and to the person who said there's only enough for a couple applications in the tube, you are using wayyyyy too much!
