Pros: It's a good fan, it's easy to connect and blows at high speeds helping to cool off the HD.

Cons: It only attaches one way, facing in towards the HD, this is bad if you want to attach it to a heat sink. It also doesn't allow air to vent out as well as it could.

Other Thoughts: For it's price it's a decent fan, I can't complain but power users may prefer a more expensive cooling device.

Pros: (part of this review is lifted from my complaints about the MASSCOOL 4B02S4 Hard Disk Cooler , if you look that up here on another popular retailer.. named after an angry warrior woman :P , newegg review bots won't let me put the actual name in - you'll see my reviews for it - if you look it up on newegg you'll see people posting reviews with similar complaints about that hard disk cooler too re: fans making horrible screeching noises and being next to impossible to install onto a hard drive - stay away from it and stick with the Xigmatek instead ! )

....In contrast the Xigmatek Computer Case Cooling Fan HDC-D802 was a breeze (pun intended) to install, fans on it work straight out of the box ... I foolishly did not record the temps on my hard drives before installing the fans on them so can't give you stats on how much cooler the hard drives are running, but I am very good about coming back and updating my reviews (even years after the first review) if a product turns out not to be so great after all.. if I don't update this even years from now assume my Xigmatek fans are still humming merrily along. I installed two of them, one per PC, about a month ago and no problems whatsoever, fans are working, quiet (again if I don't update this review assume even years after this review was initially posted the fans are still working great... I will also update this review if I suffer any hard drive failure, if I haven't posted an update then assume the fans have done their part far as keeping my hard drive alive, cool and happy ! :) ) ..

Cons: Not much that can be done about it but the only down side is that it basically amounts to each hdd w a fan taking up part of another slot.

Other Thoughts: Keeps my hdd temps in the green even under heavy loads such as writing data for 5 hours straight. Very pleased.

Pros: FITS PERFECTLY & ALL THE HOLES LINE UP PERFECTLY, MOUNTS ON TOP OF ANY 3.5" HHD. SLIM ENOUGH TO FIT EASILY IN ANY 3.5" HHD DRIVE BAY (unless yours is a thiner mount like a hot-swap, then it "may" be a tad too tall only) OTHERWISE AN EXCELLENT SIMPLE ADD ON COOLING FAN FOR YOUR 3.5" HHD. AS ANYONE KNOWS THE COOLER YOU CAN MAKE ANY ITEM INSIDE OF A PC CASE, WILL LENGTHEN THE LIFESPAN FROM A HEAT PROBLEMS OR ISSUES. EXTREMELY EASY FAN HOOKUP, CAN EVEN BE WIRED TO A FAN CONTROLLER IF YOU WISH TO DO THAT EVEN. VERY HIGH QUALITY FIT & FINISH & A HIGH QUALITY FAN AS WELL. RECOMMEND HIGHLY KEEPS YOUR HHD COOL & THATS A VERY GOOD INVESTMENT!!! AAA++++

Pros: Easily mounted on my mechanical drive and works without any problems

Cons: It doesn't move a ton of air, but that should be expected from such a small fan.

Pros: Easily mounted to my 2TB hard drive. Seems to keep my HDD around 29C even under load.

Cons: Not sure what's up with the standard 3 pin mini power cable it has as this was not sufficient to power the fan. I had to use a converter to a standard 4 pin full size connector.

Pros: Cheap, quiet, good for direct airflow across your hdd chips as long as your case has enough air to flow. Seriously for the negative reviewer, you're not going to see much temp reduction if you're blowing stagnant hot air across your chips.

Other Thoughts: You could easily change fans in this if you needed to, which is a plus. Will fit in the rail bays of an areocool cyclone if you leave two screws out and use the clips instead.

Other Thoughts: I don't understand folks giving this a bad rating because it didn't fit in their build or they didn't like the color. It was given away for free with HDD orders to clear out their stock. If you don't have a use for it so what?
