2 out of 5 eggsLooks Can Be Deceiving...

Pros: Looks - This cooler looks and feels well made.

Cons: Can not deliver on promise. Supports up to 115 Watts, yet it can not keep the i7 3770s (65 watts) cool under load.

Install is little involved seeing as you need a wrench like tool to crank down the bolts on the back of the MB.

Other Thoughts: I am using a Bench style case so I have the best air flow you can get. My office stays at 68 - 73 degrees all year.

I even replaced the grease that came with the cooler with Arctic Silver, no help.

Intel i7 3770s - Idle Temp: 42-46c / Game Load Temp (40-70% load): 60-66c / Full Load (Hand Brake) Temp: 78-81c.

This is totally unacceptable. I tried there support form on the webpage 3 times now and no reply to any of them.

4 out of 5 eggsLEGIT

Pros: It works.

Cons: It doesn't...not work!

Other Thoughts: Xiggy is a pretty legit company for cooling products, I am usually quite satisfied. I am using this in my Mini-ITX server to cool a lower-powered Intel chip, it's working like a champ.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: - Quiet
- Performs better then Intel Stock Cooler
- Really low profile (44mm total height)

Cons: - assembly is backwards of what I was expecting and had me scratching my head for a minute (if you have a hex-driver that matches the size of the nuts, use it instead of the wrench).

Other Thoughts: If you do not have a cut-out behind the motherboard, then re-seating the cooler will be a lot of extra work. Considering this cooler is low profile, and made for HTPC/Mini-ITX cases that require you to remove everything anyway, the extra step of removing the motherboard is more an inconvenience than anything else.

Also, before purchase I read a few roundups that all said this cooler was loud, but performed close to the Noctua low profile cooler, and even had the better idle temps. After playing around with fan speeds in Asus Fan expert, I found the fan to be absolutely silent even at 100%, with no humming or buzzing that cheap fans will make at high speeds. I obviously hear the sound of rushing air, but that's not the fan itself. I even have all my case fans running through a rigged up molex crossover passthrough so they are spinning at 50% and silent, so I can definitely say this cooler is quiet (maybe the professional reviewers I checked out bent the fins before testing or had a loose wire hitting fan or something?)

5 out of 5 eggsWOW

Pros: cools a6 5400k to 30c idle, 43c stress testing, 41c normal full load in a matx case that has several 60 and 80mm fans for good airflow, using as Ceramique thermal paste. the cpu is oc to 4040mhz(4141mhz turbo) with stock voltages
havent tried to push it harder but I know from the numbers I could prolly hit at least 4300mhz with this cooler in this tiny case, but have no intention of pushing it that hard.

Cons: none really. the bolt on design is a big improvement, but can make installing the motherboard a little challenging in smaller cases.

Other Thoughts: It took me a few tries to get the motherboard mounted with this thing attached in a matx case, and I'm a veterinarian so I'm pretty good with my hands.
then again my hands are rather large, so people with smaller fingers might not have any trouble. not xigmatech's fault at any rate, as this is a flaw with the way matx cases are designed and nothing to do with the cooler.

the heatsink was a cinch to mount on a msi a75 e35 motherboard, the only difficulty was in installing the motherboard into the case with this thing and 2 sticks of gskill ripjaws crowding things up, restricting finger room in the case for installing motherboard screws and plugging in sata/power cables.

All in all I am very pleased with this heatsink and highly recommend it to all AMD users. It may not be 'beefy' enough to handle the ridiculous heat of intel 'blastfurnace' chips, but then again nothing but water cooling or ln2 can really cool those anyway. But for all us AMD users this thing is perfect.
(And no its not sitting in my airconditioned clinic, this is a home machine and I have no airconditioning at home, and I live in Southern Louisiana, so when I say this thing cools great, I mean under the worst possible conditions, it runs great.)
