5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Fan!

Pros: Very affordable considering the performance.
Less noise and more airflow than the default fans in my Fractal Design R5.

Cons: No cons yet after a few months of use.

Other Thoughts: I like it so much I'm replacing the other two default fans in my Fractal R5 with these!

5 out of 5 eggsAir Mover

Pros: Best case fan I've used and now my default fan.

These push the maximum amount of air for a 140mm fan. They run at the advertised CFM, and for air cooled PCs they are a boon. They have drastically lowered CPU, GPU and internal case temperatures.

Smooth running and quiet.

Cons: Only one color, Blue!

1 out of 5 eggsDefective Product

Pros: I have none, because as you will see below I wasn't even able to install it.

Cons: The screws provided with the fan do match the through hole diameter nor the length. Why am I forced to look for screws that match this fan when that should be the duty of the supplier? Also, if you're going to provide screws that have no application to this fan why provide any screws at all?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Purchased to replace the stock 140mm top exhaust tri-cool fan in a 5 year old Antec 300 case that was starting to get noisy. Moves good air volume, noticeably quieter than the 5 year old fan it replaced, even when it was new.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsNice quiet fans

Pros: Quiet, price, sleeved cables

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I recently purchased a Rosewill Neutron case that came with 2 140mm red LED fans. Personally I don't like LED fans so looked for a replacement. These were well priced with good reviews. I have them running at about 75% and they are very quiet. The fans on my Corsair H105 are much louder, I am thinking of replacing them with Prolimatech 120mm fans.

Plus I was building a black/blue themed computer and these matched perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsInteresting results... top mount

Pros: I just wanted to clear up what I said earlier. This fan is actually much quieter when mounted HORIZONTALLY rather than vertically like in a side panel. I never would have realized this had I not tested a hunch of mine as my case does not have a proper 140mm top fan mount. With a little extra hardware to secure the fan (nut, bolt, and washer), lo and behold it works well much to my surprise, so I got my moneys worth.

Cons: I can't recommend this fan for a vertical/side panel mount, the motor makes a high pitched noise like its rubbing against the sleeve bearing.

Other Thoughts: Prolimatech could have at least mentioned that this fan is better suited for radiator cooling use. System temps seems lower when mounted as such.

3 out of 5 eggsGood airflow but could be quieter

Pros: A 140mm fan is often used for the side panel so it needs to have a lot of CFM. If you have an older high end graphics card that gets very hot like a GTX 275, this 140mm fan will lower the temps another 5-10 celsius vs not having a fan located there. Barely sufficient for a large card.

Cons: Mounting this fan vertically on the side panel it tends to be the noisiest fan in the system. Sounds more like 30dB, not 18dB. I don't know if thats due to turbulence from side grill or the sleeve bearing at higher rpms. If I lower the fan speed it becomes less noticeable.

Other Thoughts: For the price I expected as much, but cutting down on the cost of not using LEDs, they could have optimized the fan blades to reduce noise and improve cfms.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in push-pull radiator

Pros: I needed eighteen 140mm fans to use in push-pull for my MO-RA3 420 radiator. With so many fans the price per fan is a very significant factor. I took a chance on the Blue Vortexes because the reviews were on balance good and were very inexpensive. So far it was a good choice for me. They are very quiet, have more than adequate air flow and start reliably at 7v in my system. The fans are mounted so that the axis of rotation is horizontal. At 12v (full speed) you can just hear them but when they are run at 7v they are essentially silent -- to the point that the disks, water pump and other fans are far more noticeable. There are no clicks, whines or other such abnormal sounds. The fans were inexpensive enough that I opted to buy a couple of spares on the chance that I would have infant immortality failures as reported in other reviews. But every one of the eighteen worked and as a group they operate identically. I highly recommend these fans.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: These fans have reasonably long and sleeved cables though my needs did not require sleeves (consider wiring eighteen fans in a limited space). I also did not need/want led's. Also, if you like a clean look, you can easily peel the brand sticker off of the front hub of the fan.

5 out of 5 eggsquiet replacement for 120mm fan

Pros: low price for a nice quiet 140mm fan - no LEDs!

Cons: none that i can think of yet

Other Thoughts: Installed on the side door panel of my HAF 912, replacing a CM 120mm fan. Brought my GPU temps down 1 to 2c - awesome improvement for $9.99.
