Nick 4/26/2013 2:21:30 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5Excellent at lower rpm's. Pros: It has a high airflow for how thin it is! Comparing it to the noctua P14, The prolimatech ultra sleek vortex 4 provides slightly more airflow at the same rpm's. When used at 520-650 rpm, I cannot hear it at all! It was only 3db higher than my current ambient noise! The doors were closed, windows closed, and nothing going on outside. yet it provides more airflow than my noiseblocker pl-2's at 1000rpm! Can be used without the ticking sounds associated with sleeve bearings/fluid dynamic bearings in horizontal position! Excellent for Radiators, horizontal CPU heatsinks, and GPU heatsinks! Cons: Gets rather loud at higher RPM's. (700-1000+) but I have a low noise computer that operates within 5 db from ambient. So i'm rather picky on noise. Could be a con for some, could be not. Lack of vibration dampeners. Considering how most fans around this price range have mandatory vibration dampening on the edges, it would've been nice to have. Other Thoughts: While at 520-650rpm it does provide more airflow and quietness than the Noiseblocker PL-2's, The PL-2's are indeed 120mm. So there's some disadvantage to the comparison. -520rpm was the starting point for both of these fans that I purchased. But I was only running them by three pin voltage, so i'm not sure if it'll have a lower capable rpm when connected as PWM. Did you find this review helpful? Other Thoughts: The specs say it has a 4 pin connector. It does but keep in mind that is the 4 pin motherboard connector. It also has an adaptor to the 4 pin off the power supply. I have this on top and side of coolermaster HAF 912 case with Crosair H80 cooler push/pull setup in a ASUS P9X79 MB. The thin profile helps to have it place it on side of the H80 with no fit issues. Cons: None particulary, there is no airflow arrow marked on the fan, the side that has wires visible is the side pushing air out. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful. Did you?
