Following the success of Spectre LED Fan Series, Spectre Pro LED ups the ante with an all-new design and enhanced performance. The high pressure and CFM design produces wicked cooling and is also perfect for watercooling setups. Its dual frame construction not only looks great, but also helps to dampen vibrations that cause unnecessary noise. Reinforced fan blades prevent warping at high RPM levels, while focused airflow ensures cool air can reach all of your installed components. With FDB technology for low noise and long life, multiple color options, and on-the-fly light switching, Spectre Pro LED is the new gold standard in performance case fans.

Harness the fury with the Spectre Pro LED Fan Series.

  • newegg High Pressure/CFM Design Engineered for maximum pressure and airflow, Spectre Pro LED delivers a torrent of air that will keep your system cool even when the action heats up. Performance freaks and water cooling enthusiasts are going to love Spectre Pro.
  • newegg Dual Frame Construction Using a dual frame construction, Spectre Pro LED fans not only offer aggressive looks, but also vibration dampening properties, helping to keep noise levels in check. In short, Spectre Pro LED Fan Series looks different because it is.
  • newegg Reinforced Fan Blades High rotation speeds can actually warp fan blades while in motion, resulting in more turbulence and noise. Spectre Pro LED features reinforced fan blades that resist warping even when spinning at high speeds for maximum cooling performance.
  • newegg Focused Airflow All the airflow in the world won't do you any good if it can't reach your system's hotspots. The special curved design of Spectre Pro LED fan blades and cage directs airflow in a focused column, minimizing diffusion and allowing cool air to reach your components.
  • newegg Silent Operation and Long Life Like the Spectre LED Silent Fan Series, the Spectre Pro LED features the very same fluid dynamic bearing technology for minimum noise and maximum operating life.
  • newegg Multiple Colors Available No two setups are alike, which is why Spectre Pro LED comes in a variety of LED colors. Spectre Pro LED's inner ring is also color matched to the LED color for a unique look.

3 out of 5 eggs********UPDATE******

Pros: Same as past post

Cons: ***CORRECTIONS!!!!***

I warned before about the Molex to LED adapter... this was due to 0 documentation coming with the fan. I added 1 egg because, in all honesty, it should have come with a manual but I unfortunatly didn't get it and assumed the LED wire needed to be connected to the fan. I'm not the first to do this, but I want to be the last.

THE LED WILL WORK WITHOUT EXTERNAL POWER. A little closed loop is already attached. Leave this in. It is removable encase your Fan controller has an LED off switch, otherwise it will work fine.

Other Thoughts: I burned out two headers (one took longer to die because I swapped to 5v.... x.x;;;;;;) and it wasn't until I went to BitFenix's website where I found their warnings and instructions. Again this device (and it's 230mm counterpart mind you) both lacked instructions.

2 out of 5 eggsBE CAREFUL!!!!!!!

Pros: Good speed, quiet, has Green LED, removable mount (becomes important later....)

Cons: There are plenty with this fan, but I'm going to put the most important first and I hope everyone pays careful CAREFUL attention.

---------------=============BE ADVISED=======--------------

This Fan has a separate wire for the LED (This is not unlike the 230mm model of the same make, but there's a slight problem....) While the wire itself is well marked it comes with an all Black Molex to 2 pin adapter (again, like it's counterpart, however the counterpart has the wires colored Red and Black... we'll get there....). Why is this a problem? The LED functions with the Ground (Black) and Red (5+ volt) connection, I confirmed this by comparing the 230mm adapter. The Molex connector that I received, however, has a Ground (Black) and another black line (This is actually connected to the 12 VOLT!!!!!!!). I noticed this when THE WIRE BEGAN TO OVERHEAT AND MELT. I pulled the line out quickly enough to avoid damage to the fan and wire (there are some bubbles but nothing terrible) however it did burn out one of the headers in my fan controller (GRRR!!). After taking a needle nose plyer and pulling the 12v header out of both sides of the molex connector and swapping it with the 5v the LED was working at normal capacity and the wire remained cool to the touch.

What baffles me is the Molex connector provided has only 2 prongs, the fan has 3, and it would be easy to assume they would ship an adapter for the LED, not the fan itself. This may have been a simple mix-up because the Molex to 2 pin I got for the 230mm was clearly labeled and also worked without me fiddling with the Molex pins.

Now, with the big "Be very careful before you plug this in" thing (and no no instructions were provided for this....) on to the more PIA issue...

Despite having 6 screw holes on each side for mounting the bracket does not line up with a single hole properly. I'm not kidding, I have the fan perfectly in the center of the bracket but despite that 0 of the mounting holes lined up. This baffled me completely because one would assume with 6 equal holes one set would have to match... yet whatever 6 mounting styles they chose it did not work for my case (NZXT Phantom, for those who are looking.) I had to use a cleaver amount of zip ties to properly secure it.

The only good thing about the mount is that it's removable, which is good because to get it to fit properly into the case I had to remove the bottom portion of the bracket. (Oddly this did not, in any way, connect to the top portion of the bracket so I'm confused as to why it is even there to begin with.)

Other Thoughts: The fan itself, and I mean just the fan, has some issues. It runs well when finally installed. I do not see why they didn't power the LED's by simply allowing some voltage to run off the 12v or 5v line provided, why they needed a completely different wire to power the LED is confusing as I have other fans that do not require this odd addition.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Fan Money Can Buy

Pros: This fan provides excellent air flow, my CPU fan is greatly quieter ever since I got this fan (I have an open air case so it's really noticeable when the CPU is loud). The green LED's are super bright and in my opinion that is exactly what I wanted. If you're looking for a 200mm fan this is the one to go with, whether or not you get green, and you can easily turn off the LED's if you don't want any, simply unplug the pin connector that completes the circuit.

Cons: None at all so far. Works perfect and I am lucky the fan is still alive as I made a dumb mistake. By mistake I plugged the fan LED light control into the chassis fan power slow and completely fried the wire, there was rubber smoke all around the house for a few hours. I was worried the LED's were ruined but I simply unplugged the old wire that allowed me to plug it into a switch and plugged in the original wire that completed the circuit and now the LED's are always on.

Other Thoughts: This is the fan for anyone that wants excellent air flow, oh and did I mention its ABSOLUTELY silent!

3 out of 5 eggsGreat fan, not so great packagers

Pros: Fans runs great looks great pretty much what I expected

Cons: Ok so first thing I noticed is that they put a black sticker long enough to cover up the Anti-Vibration Rivets section in the accessories. Checked inside the box and there are no Rivets, k. Then when I went in to install the fan there wasn't the closed end to the LED hookup, I do not have an LED controller so no LEDs for me.

Other Thoughts: I'm really disappointed that they didn't put two things into the packaging one of them being pretty essential to me Overall a great fan.

1 out of 5 eggsBeware of Bitfenix

Pros: Nice fan, terrible manufacture.

Cons: Purchased 6 fans and a fan controller, all Bitfenix, the fan controller failed after 33 days and when I contacted Bitfenix for a replacement they replied "This does not occur unless you have damaged the controller in some way, either overheating or misuse of the product, etc."

Terrible experience with Bitfenix at this point, I would not recommend their product.

Other Thoughts: Buyer beware, if you need to file a warranty claim, prepare to be insulted by the manufacturer

4 out of 5 eggsnice fan big

Pros: big fan really like all the different fan mount points on it good leds nice green glow

Cons: lack of instructions fan led controller never had a fan with a led switch before thought it was to power the leds plugged it in a 3 pin to 4 pin fan power converter hold cable gos up in smoke.

Other Thoughts: got lucky and yanked the cable out in time suffered only minor burn from the pastil after some research found out your much better off leaving the led pass threw in rather then dick around with the led switch wire wish i had know that going in... in other news it still works leds and every thing so defiantly impressed though i had fried it for sure.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fan

Pros: Sturdy build! The fan has multiple mounting arrangements and can be mounted in either direction. (this and the color were the main reasons for getting this) It isn't silent, but it pushes air quite nicely, and doesn't grind like the stock CM fan in my Haf 912. Very bright LEDs, in venom green are also a plus. (coupled with my Razer mouse/keyboard lit in green) Strong fins, and a very solid construction.

Cons: To mount so the fan pulls air into the case, I needed a bit of buffer material (black fabric) between the fan and case. Would assume this also cuts down on noise. Not sure of its exact airflow, but it does move a lot of it. Also, when I first started running with this fan, it would intermittently grind for a second or two. This disappeared after a few days.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this fan, or any of the spectre pro series, to anyone who is in need of a sturdy fan that gets the job done. Very impressed with it, and just bought another to replace my red CM in the front of my case. More reviews on this great product!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 200m Green Fan

Pros: The fan is bright when lit and shows off the green, which I really like. Looks cool and feels like it is well made. The screws that came with it were nice and long, smaller than the holes, and made installation a breeze. Moves a lot more air than my previous fans.

Cons: Significantly louder than my previous fans (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103072) to the point that the sound was noticable when the PC was idle, but I wasn't using the 7v adapter that comes with it that slows down the fans and makes it less noisy. Even then, my 500 watt speaker system drown out the sound when I was playing games, so I really didn't care.

Other Thoughts: While maybe a little noisy, they push a ton of air, cooling your rig well, so I more than willing to put up with a little noise. They also just look really cool.

1 out of 5 eggsNo good

Pros: LEDs look nice

Cons: I highly doubt these move 148.72 CFM, I bought two 60mm fans also and they claim 31 CFM and they move a lot more air than this thing does.
