Delivering both silent operation and maximum airflow, Spectre LED PWM will keep your CPU running cool without sounding like an airplane hangar. Sickle fan blades enhance airflow without producing excess noise, while on-the-fly LED light switching when used together with the BitFenix Hydra Pro Fan Controller or Survivor Chassis allows you to turn the lights on and off with a press of a button. If you do not have either of those, Spectre LED PWM can also be used as a regular LED fan with jumper-selectable on/off.

  • newegg PWM Technology Spectre LED PWM uses pulse width modulation technology to adjust fan speeds. This technology enables your system to control your cooling with much greater precision than conventional linear voltage fans, making them perfect for CPU coolers.
  • newegg Silent Operation Keeping your CPU cool shouldn't mean having to make a racket at the same time. Spectre LED PWM fans are designed to cool silently, so you can keep your mind focused on the task at hand.
  • newegg Enhanced Airflow Spectre LED PWM fans feature sickle fan blades, which create a torrent of air without creating excess noise. This means that your system stays cool in the heat of battle without disturbing your computing environment.
  • newegg Multiple Colors and Sizes Spectre LED PWM comes in a wide range of colors and sizes. Choose the LED colors you want to achieve the ultimate look for your gaming rig, and with multiple sizes to choose from, you can be sure to find a fan that fits.
  • newegg On-the-Fly Light Switching Another BitFenix first, Spectre LED PWM fans feature on-the-fly LED on/off switching. Simply connect Spectre LED PWM to either the BitFenix Hydra Pro Fan Controller or Survivor Chassis, and turn your fan LEDs on and off with a press of a button. Spectre LED PWM can also work as a regular LED fan with jumper-selectable on and off.
  • newegg Aggressive Looks Both On and Off Manufactured from a high-grade tinted polycarbonate resin, Spectre LED PWM fans give a sleek dark look when off, while still emitting bright lights when the LEDs are turned on. No matter if you keep your lights on or off, Spectre LED PWM keeps your system looking great.

1 out of 5 eggsNot good for a CPU cooler

Pros: For my PC? none

Cons: You need a separate controller in order to have the LED light on while the fan is running mounted on a CPU cooler.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this fan to replace the LED stock fan that my EVGA CPU Cooler thinking that the LED with be on while the fan is running. For my surprise, It didn't. You have to purchase and install a separate controller in order for the LED to stay on. What a waste of money. I need it an LED fan that the lights would stay on while the fan is running when mounted on the CPU cooler. I guess it will go in the closet until I find another 120mm LED fan that the lights will stay on.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Happy

Pros: Nice light and very quiet!!

Cons: Replaced my Corsair H80I fans with 2 of these. My water pump has been running fine for 2 years and then the second day after installing these the plug from the fans shorted where it plugs into the water pump and almost caused a fire! Absolutely nothing wrong with the installation of the fans but very very strange that 24hours after installation I am now ordering a new $100 water pump!! Not happy and regret my purchase!!!!!! Won't be changing cpu cooler fans on the new one!!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: Red LED, very quiet, 4-pin PWM connector, ability to turn off the LED if using a fan controller

Cons: Not terribly impressed with the fan frame itself. When I was running the provided screw through it during install, I seriously thought the resin was going to crack.

Using the Corsair Link software, they cap out at 1500 RPMs, not 1800. Not sure if that's a limitation of the software or what, but I would never run them @1800, so I really don't care.

The LEDs aren't as bright as I'd hoped they would be (or expected them to be. More in this in "other thoughts"...

Other Thoughts: I bought them to replace the fans that came with the Corsair H100i. I was hoping the LEDs would somewhat flood my Corsair Air 240. Sure, you can see them through the front of the case, but you can't see the LED through the top of the case on the exhaust fan I replaced (I bought 3 total), and it literally adds no color that is visible via the side window. However, they are infinitely more quiet than the Corsair fans they replaced. @900RPMs they are silent. Maxed out at 1500 RPMs they are audible, but it's really not overbearing. If I were gaming with them running wide open, I wouldn't even notice, really.

4 out of 5 eggsBitfenix 120mm Fan / PWM

Pros: Works well. Nice color and overall low noise.

Cons: For whatever reason, it didn't come with the extension for running into one of their led controllers or cases.
Upon closer inspection, fan didn't have additional pin plug at all.
Found this odd given I ordered it and orange version at the same time from the same series and product code line and the orange one HAD the extension and pin plug.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if I just got old stock or this one missed quality control.
1 egg off :(

1 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected

Pros: Not many. Looks cool.

Cons: Out of the box there was a small grinding sound. The fan was hardly pushing air and did not register the speeds with my motherboard. Had to get a separate controller for the LED controls, no big deal. Got it all plugged in with the other fan and the wire for the LED control melted and burned as soon as the system turned on and fused to a power supply cable. Not happy. tried to contact bit fenix support about this across facebook and through their website, got nothing back.

Other Thoughts: Will not be buying any other fans from bitfenix. I had high hopes but when they never got back to be about the fans I gave up,

5 out of 5 eggsfans are great

Pros: super super quiet, with my mobo fan controller they go up to about 1800rpm and stay quiet until around 1300rpm

Cons: the red LED, although a nice red, is not as bright as I'd hoped.. still a great buy!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fan!

Pros: This fan looks good when it's turned off and beautiful when it's on. The dark gray with red LEDs gives it a classy look. Oh and it does perform very well. Very quiet and excellent airflow.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you want a fan that illuminates your entire case, this probably isn't your fan. But if you want a classy looking fan this is perfect.
