Compared to the Spectre Fan Series, the Spectre Pro PWM comes with an all-new design and enhanced performance. The high-pressure, CFM design is controlled by PWM technology for finer speed control - perfect for high-performance CPU coolers. Its unique dual-ring construction helps to dampen vibrations, resulting in less noise. Reinforced fan blades prevent warping at high RPM levels, while focused airflow ensures that cool air can reach all of your installed components. With FDB technology for low noise and long life, and availability in both solid black and solid white variants, the Spectre Pro PWM is the new gold standard in performance CPU cooling fans.

  • newegg PWM Technology True to its namesake, the Spectre Pro PWM uses pulse width modulation technology to adjust fan speeds. This technology enables your system to control your cooling with much greater precision than conventional linear voltage fans, making them perfect for CPU coolers.
  • newegg High Pressure/CFM Design Engineered for maximum pressure and airflow, the Spectre Pro PWM delivers a torrent of air that keeps your CPU cool, even when the action heats up.
  • newegg Dual-Ring Construction Using a dual-ring construction, Spectre Pro PWM fans not only offer aggressive looks, but also vibration dampening properties, helping to keep noise levels in check.
  • newegg Reinforced Fan Blades High rotation speeds can actually warp fan blades while in motion, resulting in more turbulence and noise. The Spectre Pro PWM features reinforced fan blades that resist warping, even when spinning at high speeds for maximum cooling performance.
  • newegg Silent Operation and Long Life The Spectre Pro PWM features fluid dynamic bearing technology for minimum noise and maximum operating life.
  • newegg Two Color Versions No two setups are alike, which is why the Spectre Pro PWM comes in both solid black and solid white versions.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for CPU coolers

Pros: - High static pressure makes this great for cpu coolers and restricted vents
- Very quiet when spinning at low rpms. (896~901 RPM for an idling FX8350 @ 17C)
- Comes with rubber screws (with rubber washers) and metal screws

Cons: - Rubber screws that come in the package do not work with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo.
(The rubber screws have balls on the ends so the Evo brackets can't latch onto the heatsink)

Other Thoughts: - Use the metal screws for attaching the Spectre to cpu coolers
- Use the rubber screws for attaching to your case (washers go on the opposite side of the fan)

4 out of 5 eggsGood Fans But Loud

Pros: High airflow and good air pressure

Cons: Loud, louder than the 200mm and 230mm counter parts. had to drop the power to them with a fan controller

4 out of 5 eggsBitfenix Ghost Mid Tower

Pros: Very nice and sleek.

Cons: Could use a little bit more space behind the motherboard
tray for cable routing. Not a big deal though.

Other Thoughts: Not too sure if a Hyper 212-evo CPU cooler will fit in this case.
