These fans have been specifically developed to deliver significant airflow while maintaining low noise levels. Silent Series R2 fans are available in sizes from 40mm up to 140mm.

All new Silent Series R2 fans are equipped with high performance hydraulic bearings, increasing both fan performance and reliability. Each fan 60mm and larger is packaged with both 4 metal screws and 4 rubber screws to ensure maximum fan-mounting options. Using the rubber screws allows mechanical decoupling from the case itself, reducing vibrations and decreasing the noise level (40 and 50mm feature metal mounting screws only).

The cable on each Silent Series R2 fan is fully sleeved for effortless cable routing and enhanced aesthetics.

4 out of 5 eggsGood fan

Pros: Moves a lot of air. Looks nice, though in my set up it's in the back and can't be seen. Comes with rubber mounts as well as screws.

Cons: There is a bit of a low whining sound. It's not loud, but If your other fans are quiet, it might be noticeable. It would have been nicer if it came with a molex adapter.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these to replace worn out fans on ah Ahanix MCE601 case (an old HTPC case). The fans move much more air than the original, but also is a bit louder. Right now, the fan in the power supply is louder (it's worn out too, and have to be replaced soon), but when I replace that fan, I think these will be louder. At that point, I think a fan controller will fix it, since these do put out a lot of air at max speed, compared to the original. Far as I can tell, the blades are not removable. Overall I'm happy with these fan.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Really quiet and cheap

Cons: Doesn't light up in blue?

Other Thoughts: I replaced the back fans in my Thermaltake ARMOR A30. Hooked the fans up to my motherboard. No problems what so ever and it's actually more silent compared to what I had in there originally.

2 out of 5 eggsdefinitely not silent...

Pros: This fan puts out a lot of air., just what I needed.

Cons: Very loud!!!

Other Thoughts: I bought it for my HTPC setup with DIYPC Black Acrylic / Steel HTPC-KT28B Micro ATX case that came with Athena Power AP-MP4ATX30 300W (not that great power supply but it was free...), ASUS microATX mobo, Athlon IIx2, and Radeon HD6450. The case came with a fan that is really silent but has a very weak air output, and so my HTPC was getting hot. This Fractal fan is very efficient in removing air from the inside of the case but it also is very loud, which beats the purpose of putting in inside of HTPC... I stayed with the weak but silent case fan, and instead installed a 12cm GELID slim fan, which isn't that silent either but nothing like that Fractal one... Maybe I've got just a bad one but I seriously doubt it.
