These fans have been specifically developed to deliver significant airflow while maintaining low noise levels. Silent Series R2 fans are available in sizes from 40mm up to 140mm.

All new Silent Series R2 fans are equipped with high performance hydraulic bearings, increasing both fan performance and reliability. Each fan 60mm and larger is packaged with both 4 metal screws and 4 rubber screws to ensure maximum fan-mounting options. Using the rubber screws allows mechanical decoupling from the case itself, reducing vibrations and decreasing the noise level (40 and 50mm feature metal mounting screws only).

The cable on each Silent Series R2 fan is fully sleeved for effortless cable routing and enhanced aesthetics.

5 out of 5 eggsSilent and Efficient

Pros: -Silent
-Look good
-Efficient

Cons: -Only 3 Prong

Other Thoughts: I would recommend to anyone needing this size of fan. My computer doesn't have coil whine or any fan noise. All I hear is the air flowing out of my case.

5 out of 5 eggsQuite and Performance

Pros: -Very quite compared to my old case fans
-Air flow is great for the price
- I have a GTX 480 in my rig and if it keeps this card cool, they will keep anything cool.

Cons: - None to be seen.

Other Thoughts: -Fans quietly hum while on. (Not a bad thing just a noise level idea for the product)

5 out of 5 eggsDecent enough.

Pros: Seem to push a bit of air. VERY quiet, which is what I was aiming for. Comes with rubber screws; I already snapped one but it lasted through 3 re-mounts while I was trying to get the cord position right, and I wasn't exactly light-handed about putting them through the fan holes (ug), so I'd say they're pretty good quality screws.

Cons: None that I can think of for the $10 I paid for each one.

Other Thoughts: I guess these being 1200rpm that I can only ask for so much airflow, so I won't complain much about it not feeling like a hard jet like with the 70-cfm Cooler Master ones (my usual go-to when not worried about noise), which I thought were quiet before trying these things. Then again, these are ridiculously more quiet, and using a 65W TPD i5 and plugging a GTX970 into my rig in the future, 3 of these on intake will definitely do the trick. I'd definitely recommend them whenever they're on sale.

5 out of 5 eggsFractal Design Silent Series R2 120mm Fan

Pros: I love these fans! I have bought 4! 2 for my PC and 2 for my friends. His PC went from sounding like a jet engine to something more silent. My PC is dang near silent as well!

Cons: None so far!

3 out of 5 eggsGreat until it failed

Pros: Very quiet, inexpensive

Cons: Questionable durability

Other Thoughts: Bought this fan just over 2 years ago to match up with the other 2 Fractal Design fans that came with the case I bought at the same time. I was so impressed with how quiet they were that I wanted my third fan to be exactly the same. Unfortunately it began to fail a few weeks ago, it began to vibrate and make a hellacious noise. Scared the hell out of me too because at first I thought it was a hard drive failure. A blast from a can of compressed air would get it to stop making noise but the frequency I was needing to do this has been increasing so I opted to replace it.

This is the first case fan I have ever had that has failed. I assume the bearing is failing/failed, it's in a PC that is on daily but not round the clock so kind of surprised by it. The other 2 fans are still working well so I'm hoping that it's just the one that may have been a bad apple out of the bunch.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Build Quality

Pros: I am very pleased with this fan. It seems very well made and sells for a reasonable price, It comes with rubber studs to isolate it from the case but I did not find them necessary. It also comes with a voltage reduction cable but I am not using that either.

Cons: At full RPM it does make a little noise but no fan is going to be completely silent. Barely worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: I mounted it in the bottom front of the case, drawing air in. I recommend this fan,

4 out of 5 eggsH440 NZXT

Pros: Very quite did not add much sound to my H440 NZXT seems to keep temperature down. Looks very nice and feel very solid.

Cons: The only con for me was that I could not get the rubber screws to work and the one I keeped trying with broke. I watched some videos on Youtube and I just could not get them to work.

Other Thoughts: Over all I would say they are great. As for the rubber screws it could just be me I have never tried to use them before.
