Designed for advanced users GELID Silent PWM fans provide additional airflow by using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to automatically adjust fan speed according to the CPU load. The fan can be idled down and thus be much quieter. An intelligent IC had been integrated into the fan’s PCB to exploit your mainboard’s BIOS software. This technology is more efficient and convenient than using an external fan controller to adjust the voltage.

Each fan impeller has been individually balanced using the latest technology to guarantee steady, unwavering operation. To add to the silence fan mounts replace traditional screws and are made of high quality, temperature resistant, extra long lasting rubber and stop vibrations from the fan motor from traveling into your PC case.

  • newegg Intelligent GELID PWM Control PWM (Pulse-width modulation) uses a digital signal to calculate and adjust to the appropriate cooling performance according to CPU and System temperature, without generating any heat during operation. Fan controlled by intelligent GELID PWM is more efficient than the traditional PWM fans.
  • newegg High Performance With the optimized fan blades, the GELID Solutions FN-PX09-20 92mm case fan delivers air flow of up to 37.89 CFM and high static pressure for impressive heat dissipation.
  • newegg Rubber Fan Mounts Included rubber mounts have been designed specifically to deal with fan-induced vibrations and are an ideal alternative to standard fan screws, leaving vibrations 100% decoupled from your PC case, ideal for building a very quiet or virtually silent PC.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little fan

Pros: I've been hooked on GELID fans for a while now, and for good reason.

-Very quiet, whisper-like at full operation. Can hear it, but nothing compared to stock fans or other aftermarket brands.

-Pulls some good air

-Fan blades and build quality overall is really great, feels sturdy and ready for years of use

-Reasonable price - quality ratio

-braided cable

Cons: Cable length could be a bit longer, although I appreciate the inclusion of a braided cable, some extra length would be nice for those that jury-rig smaller fans onto larger systems or otherwise could use the extra half-foot or so of cable length.

I knew the cable length going through with the purchase though, so it may not really belong as a 'con'.

Other Thoughts: Been a "fan of these fans" for a good while now and I'm still yet to be disappointed. Excellent for smaller office, HTPC, or gaming systems with a small form factor.

If they do larger fans (120/140) eventually, I would recommend those as well.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome fan

Pros: Awesome airflow at max rpm, very quiet at about 80% speed! great quality. Sleeved cable.

Cons: None! :D

Other Thoughts: I have this as the air intake for my videocard, its great. keep it under 80% speed and you will never hear it!

5 out of 5 eggsCool, Quiet and Cost Efficient!

Pros: I love these fans. Their stylish (neutral) black/white design matches virtually any build. They have very high static pressure for a "silent" fan, which makes them great intakes through fan filters.

PWM controls makes it easy to adjust their speed directly from your mobo. No "PWM ticking" or motor noise on 5v.

And, they come with soft silicone mounts to eliminate case vibration.

The 3 year warranty is just icing on the cake (and out of the 20 or so various Gelid fans I've owned/installed I've never had one die on me).

Cons: The soft mounts aren't particularly intuitive, and the fans don't ship with instructions on how to install them. Gelid does have a guide on their website though, so no points off there.

They can be a bit of a hassle at first, but a toothpick or a small phillips head screwdriver can help guide them into place.

Other Thoughts: Gelid has been my go to brand for quiet computing for years now and they continue to impress.

Although the mounts may be a hassle, they're absolutely worth installing. I've tried both screws and the mounts and they make the difference between these fans being "quiet" and virtually inaudible.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Fits

Pros: It is exactly what I ordered. It's a fan, it's quiet, it moves air through the water cooling radiator it is attached to. for a 92 mm fan I would recommend it.

Cons: none at this time

4 out of 5 eggsdecent fan

Pros: low noise, inexpensive

Cons: audible pwm ticking, no included accessories, only 50,000 mttf

Other Thoughts: This fan was used in a pc that stays on 24/7, so it's life span seemed short. I have since switched to a fan costs twice as much, but has three times the life expectancy, includes low noise adapters and mounting options, and does NOT have the PWM ticking. Much more for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsGELID is the bomb

Pros: well, it does everything it says it does. i have several gelid fans now. the cpu fan is this 92mm case fan. the artic silver fans, 2 of em, died within 11 months. a thermaltake fan sounded very vacuum cleanerish. changed it with this and i had to keep checking to see if it were running. i changed the dead thermaltake in my psu with a gelid and the rear case fan also. the only noice coming out of this box now is the cd drive hard drive or the psu (the slight humm).
this is the best fan i have ever used. i dont think it will die in a year, because this has a 5 year warranty.

Cons: its a bit spendy. you can get substandard inferior fans for cheap.

Other Thoughts: the 20 dollar price tag on the 120 mm fans seems high. but its so worth it. cheap fans wioll work, but die every year or 2. so buying this 20 dollar fan, or the 92mm 9 dollar one, will keep you from buying more cheapies and changing em constantly.

1 out of 5 eggsway way way too loud

Pros: um it spins in a circle?

Cons: Way louder than it claims - seriously way louder - could be heard when mounted correctly in a system that was running at 39deg C from more than 8 feet away with other computers running. Did not belive it was this fan til I unplugged it and all noise stopped - spend the money - get a better fan
