4 out of 5 eggsQuiet

Pros: Quiet little fan when running at low speed. Thermometer is on the end of a cable so you can put it near that pesky hot spot in the case.

Cons: On high speed it is loud. The thermometer cable is about eleven inches long. 18 inches would have been better for ATX case. Lost one egg for the noise, didn't lose two because it keeps everything cool even with a fanless video card.

Other Thoughts: Used in my HTPC. Usually quiet, but can make noise when recording two HD shows while watching another. Doesn't play nice with bios motherboard speed controllers (which change the speed on non-variable speed fans-and changing the speed on a variable speed fan is kinda redundant

4 out of 5 eggsGood thermal sensor controlled fan

Pros: -> Quiet when operating at medium speed.
-> Thermal controlled for those who don't have a PWM motherboard connector.

Cons: -> More noisy when operating at full speed.
-> Hard to unmount when installed with rubber plugs
-> Even slight pressure on fan center can cause it to stop spinning as in like a wire rubbing up against it.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't call this fan silent. I would call this fan quiet. Upon startup and occasionally when temps go up this fan will kick in to high speed at which point it will be noticeably louder. It will eventually slow down when the temps level off. It produces CFM consistent with it's RPM. Unlike sleeve fans this fan is OK to be mounted horizontally (As in top mount).

Make sure you got the orientation right before you install the rubber mounts. It will be a hassle to remove if you already mounted them. You can test the flow direction prior to install by plugging in if you like. This fan blows from the smooth side to the back side which has the wires(I was kinda hoping it would be the other way as you see the wiring side on the top of my case as my fan is being used as a top mount)

As far as the rubber mount I got a secret. Soap. Lather them up lightly and pull them through with needle nose pliers by twirling in a circular motion. Peace of cake.

The thick slots in the grommets are for fan casing. The thin slots are for the Computer case. Pre-install all 4 plugs to the fan casing first. It will make it easier for you to position and then pull the protruding plugs out of the case with your pliers. After they are mounted you can snip off the excess portions off if you like.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install and much quieter than my old fan. The rubber plugs just need to be pulled through with a little force. At first I thought they'd be difficult but once I realized I didn't have to be gentle they popped right in.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsI'm a "fan"

Pros: - Perfect price point.
- Moves more air than similar fans
- Rubber mounting prevents rattling on cheap cases

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: The rubber mounts can be a problem. Just take your time, and don't pull/stretch too much at once or you could risk damaging the plastic on the fan, or tearing the rubber.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet HTPC Case Fan

Pros: Perfect as a supply fan for HT case. Long temp lead that I attached to fanless video card. PWM processor fan is louder. Wires are sleeved in black for clean look.

Cons: You have to pull really hard on the rubber mounts to install. After the first one, I was sure I would break every other one, but they held. No eggs off.

Other Thoughts: I configured it to blow into the case so cpu and video card heat could vent out of the top grille. May decide to change that later.

Pros: Quiet, quiet, quiet

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I didn't realize I had a jet engine in my computer until I replaced the fans with these.

5 out of 5 eggsSilent

Pros: Totally silent. This is the second time I have used a Geild case fan in a build. Totally silent. I have the 120mm version of these in my gaming rig, and a year later they are still going strong and silent. I expect the 80mm to have similar performance in my HTPC which will be on 24/7.

Cons: Only con I can come up with is that the rubber stoppers are different, and after installing and uninstalling several times to get it placed just right, your fingertips will be a bit sore.

But they do their job and they do it well. Just make sure you know where and how you are placing them in the case.

Other Thoughts: Great fans at great prices with great performance (quiet). They move enough air to keep the HTPC cool and quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy Overall

Pros: Temp Sensors with long leads allow you to customize your cooling. Seem well built. Quiet.

Cons: Not silent, but not bad either. Move decent air for their size/noise generated.

Other Thoughts: The case I had won't allow the screwless install, but that looked slick. The vibration isn't an issue, even with screw install. Given the choice, I'd buy this product again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little fan

Pros: Easy to install and runs very quiet.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The fan comes with its own little temperature sensor so I was able to better control my graphics card temps.
