The WING UV Blue case fans are premium quality, UV reactive, ultra- quiet, dust and water proof cooling fans for gaming enthusiasts. This series features a unique bearing with winglet fans blades and low starting voltage. Only the highest quality materials have been used to manufacture this state-of-the-art cooling fan. Control the fan RPM speed according to your desire using the supplied voltage regulator. To add to the silence fan mounts replace traditional screws and are made of high quality, ultra-soft silicone which stop vibrations from the fan motor from traveling into your PC case.

  • newegg Nanoflux Bearing (NFB) The Nano-technology composite ensures lowest abrasion and extreme durability (MTTF 100’000 hours). Compared to other Magnetic bearings this technology allows the impeller to be detached and thus the fan blades can be cleaned easily.
  • newegg Nanoflux Bearing (NFB) Compared to Sleeve and Ball Bearings Unlike the cost-effective sleeve bearings which tend to leak oil or costlier ball bearings which are noisier and prone to damage, GELID’s Nanoflux bearing uses magnetic flux to limit contact and friction between the bearing and the shaft. High precision self-lubricated material eliminates oil leakage. The result is an ultra quiet long life bearing.
  • newegg Fan Speed Control The RPM speed of any fan can be controlled from full speed to low speed manually according to your preference using the included voltage regulator. This product is suitable for all high RPM fans and regulates between 5V and 12V.
  • newegg Rubber Fan Mounts Included rubber mounts have been designed specifically to deal with fan-induced vibrations and are an ideal alternative to standard fan screws, leaving vibrations 100% decoupled from your PC case, ideal for building a very quiet or virtually silent PC.

5 out of 5 eggsHow to fix this fan

Pros: I have these fans exclusively in 9 machines. Most have had these fans for more than 18 months, some more than 24 months. I had my first issue with this family of fans today(specifically the 80mm model). The fan started to make a high pitched squeal on and off and began to vibrate excessively.

I took the fan out of the case, power cycled the computer a few times to identify the culprit(this machine has 6 fans) and cleaned the fan. Since it has more of a pivot point than a bearing I was a little surprised at the vibrations. After cleaning the fan it worked fine for 2 mins then started up again. So I took the fan apart and I dabbed a tiny amount of lithium grease on the very end of the metal shaft on the fan-blade assembly. Poof, problem solved.

I took several of these fans apart when I first bought them, and I wasn't too thrilled with the amount of libricant on these fans.

Now I'm thinking I'll always add a small dab to the fans just because I prefer to install and forget.

Again, this is the first fan out of about 50+ fans to have any problems. The solution is easy. You can get a tube of white lithium grease from any hardware store for a few dollars.

These fans are pretty quiet too. My desktop(sitting about 3 feet away) has 14 120mm fans and is very quiet. It could be quieter, but my desktop is no louder than my desktop at work with only 1 fan.

I'm definitely not disappointed at having 1 fan issue between about 50+ fans in 2+ years.

Cons: These fans aren't "workhorse" fans. They give very good airflow(although better ones do exist). You buy these fans because you want a reliable fan that will give you consistent cooling for the long haul. I love fans that are "install and forget". I've seen too many computer suffer from overheating because some fans stopped spinning and the owner didn't notice.

Other Thoughts: My advice if the manufacturer reads these is to increase the amount of lithium grease you use inside the "bearing".

5 out of 5 eggsGelid is great

Pros: Great quality, I love the switch to control the fan speed. Quiet for normal computing and turn it up for gaming/performance.

Cons: I wish the RPM's could go higher, need a little more power to cool my Q-Pack case

Other Thoughts: This fan is being used as an intake fan for my Q-Pack micro ATX case

5 out of 5 eggslast reviewer is an idiot

Pros: 1) The specs detail that the fan blade is UV reactive. It nevers lists having LEDs anywhere.
2) The fan pictures clearly show that the housing has a small slit for removing/rerouting the wires at the user's discretion.
3) ALL who use NewEgg have accounts that allow you to login and print out any receipt in your purchase history.

Conclusion: That reviewer is an idiot who clearly does not know how to read, does not take time to clearly inspect the product pictures, and has no clue how to even use his account. LOSER.

I have purchased, installed, and personally use a number these fans and they are GREAT.

They are extremely quiet.
They come with a speed control.
The blade removes for easy cleaning.
I have yet to have one of these fail.
They have no LEDs which is exactly what I want.
They also include the nice rubber mounting inserts for quick and easy install that prevents any possible vibration sound to case.

Cons: None! Did I mention that the wires have a flexible shield around them to protect and keep them together. It looks very sleek.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. This is a quality product.

1 out of 5 eggsYou Are Kidding Me, No Blue Light

Pros: Silent

Cons: No blue light, no receipt and the connecting wire comes out of the holder. Not worth the premium cost or the extra return shipping. Failed expectations.

Other Thoughts: All ready installed, it would be nice if the egg would send me another one for the trouble. If nothing else, please send a receipt.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Fan

Pros: Heres a Review of the Gelid Solutions 80mm Gamer Fan Wing 8:
-Worth EVERY penny(Mounted in front of my Vid card, droppted temps by 6 degrees Celcius!
-UV Reactive(Light it up if you want, dont if you dont like lights)
-Very strong cable coating, with "give" to bend the wires
-Quiet! Over my other case fans, I cant hear it at all(I hear the vibrations of the fan over the sound itself)
-Max Rated RPM is 2000...Its sitting at 2451, still no sound of the classic "whirring" of older fans
-Detachable Impeller! Cleaning this thing is so easy!
-Waterproof!!! Granted, I wouldn't dare put this thing in water, as the rest of my PC would go up in smoke, but nice to know for those who run watercooled system hybrids(they wont have to replace their fans at least :P)
-Dustproof, though I'm not sure how well it will turn out a month down the road

See other Thoughts for more.

Cons: The included RPM controller is a pain in the rear to use(hard to get the thing to turn) So it really isn't worth it to use, unless you want a cheap external Fan controller.

The sticker wasn't a sticker!! it had no adhesive on it whatsoever T.T it was also "paperesque", rough and felt like the edge of ripped paper.

Other Thoughts: All in all, Worth the price, as it outperforms and lasts almost triple the time of cheap fans. Bought this to replace one of the fans that "leak oil" and die long before their use time is up.

Pros: buy it. install it. have cooler temps without hearing your pc.
includes an adjustable fan controller. not a wire with three ports(5v,7v or 12v).

Cons: none. worth every penny.

Other Thoughts: much better looking than noctua and easily as good.
