4 out of 5 eggsMeh... It's alright.

Pros: It's not bad.

Cons: They could have put a little more paste in there.

Other Thoughts: The tube's outer dimensions are about 60mmx20mm... you only get twenty of the sixty millimeters full of paste.

When I run the paste under hot water and go to spread it on, the spatula scrapes all the way down to the metal. It's pretty runny. When it cools, it's pretty hard to spread.

I really only saw a 2-3c improvement over the last few drops of my 7-year-old tube of Arctic Silver 5 that cost way less per volume. That was with a thin layer spread across the heatsink--an AC Freezer 64. I'll retry with my usual method of the "dot in the middle"... it works for this cooler, and if there's any improvement in the temps I'll write another review.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat thermal properties and

Pros: large amount it tube, it works really well cpu temps are pretty good im happu with it

Cons: why a heat spreader just ads to price nearly all professionals and the cpu manufactures themselves recommend a pea or rice shaped smear. its a bit too thick hard to spread harder than some to useseems to clump

5 out of 5 eggsSimply the best!

Pros: - Average of 5-7c temp drop compared to off Antec's brand of thermal compound
- Easy application after placing syringe in hot water (placed in a ziploc bag)
- Non-conductive = less worries

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I've been struggling to keep my i7-4790K at decent temps both at idle and full load. Even after upgrading to the H110i AIO, the temps were not nearly as good as I was expecting (55c idle/90c+ under load). I was using some generic Antec paste "Formula 5" assuming it was of good quality.

After reading up on a BUNCH thermal compounds, I stumbled upon GELID's GC-Extreme and thought I'd give it a shot. After reading reviews noting that the compound was thick and hard to apply, I immediately put the syringe in a bowl of hot water with the syringe sealed in a plastic bag for 10 minutes - after taking it out of the water, It applied nice and smoothly.

After cleaning and positioning my cooler's water block, I booted up and began to observe temps. I was immediately surprised: idle temp went from around 55c idle to under 40c! Load temps went from a dangerous 95c to a much more acceptable 75-80c. I never thought the choice of quality thermal compound could make a such drastic difference in temps and performance under load! Look no further, this stuff is truly the REAL DEAL. I have a lot more left in the tube and I look forward to using it in all my future builds!

5 out of 5 eggsJust the best heat transfer goo out there!

Pros: I had to apply/remove at least 4 times due to my bad planning for cables, etc. It was easy each time and a bit messy but easy!

Cons: The heat transfer goo didn't tell me I had other stuff to hook up and I would have to remove the air CPU cooler several times....LOL....

Other Thoughts: Great thermal transfer goo!

5 out of 5 eggsReseated H80

Pros: Smooth and thick. Read reviews on the various TC's and saw this was rated fairly high compared to others.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: Dropped it in a cup of hot tap water in a cup prior to spreading the compound made it simple. Considered a metal (gallium) based thermal compound until I read that gallium atoms invade the aluminum, resulting in an extremely fragile and brittle material. Once that occurs, the lid on a CPU can possibly be crushed and I'd rather avoid the need to acquire a replacement processor.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy to use and apply.

Pros: -Keeps things cool

Cons: -No Cons

Other Thoughts: Not long ago I looked into the benchmarks for various thermal compounds and this is one of the top compounds to use. This is very important as heat shortens the lifespan of your products. So keeping things cool is a priority. I definitely notice that my CPU is much cooler than I expected it to be even under heavy load during the burn-in stress tests that I performed.

I am happy I switched to this from the other brand.

Side note this is best compound application pattern:
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/i/300001-400000/330001-340000/334001-335000/334295.eps/_jcr_content/renditions/334295.jpg

it is similar to the classic "X" pattern but takes it further. where the "X" pattern fails is where those dots come into play. The pattern shown promotes even spreading.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product and cooled effectively

Pros: - Good cooling
- Good price
- Good amount of paste

Cons: This was somewhat difficult to apply when it was cooled so I warmed it in a container of warm water until it was brought up to just above room temperature, it applied easily then but had to be done quickly.

Other Thoughts: This works just as good as any other high quality thermal compound out there but I definitely liked this over what I had previously for years, so I highly recommend you give this a try. Make sure you warm the paste though for easy application.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat short term cooling solution.

Pros: Definitely transfers heat amazingly well for the price...

Cons: but doesn't last long. I built this gaming rig in March of 2015 and it saw very little use until this year. While the application was fresh, I saw temps of 60-65c under full load at stock 4.7ghz clock using a coolermaster 212 evo. Now, with a heavier variant, my temps are well into the 70's.

Other Thoughts: Great for a few months at best, then needs to be cleaned off and reapplied if you have a high powered rig.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product if you apply it correctly.

Pros: I read plenty of other reviews and what others had said. So here is what I did to get a great coat on the cpu and the waterblock.

First I heated a cup of water for 3 minutes. then I put the syringe in the cup. While it was warming up I cleaned the cpu and water block with a alcohol pad. After cleaning the parts I took my heat gun and heated up the cpu at this point I applied the compound to the cpu and spread it with the spade that came with it. I then put the water block in place and moved it around to get a final good spread before mounting it down.

If you do this you will find that its easy to spread it around. Just do not over heat the cpu while using a heat gun or blow dryer.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Price. Excellent performance, Excellent product.

Pros: I run a 4770K @ 4.6ghz 1.304Vcore, with a H105 water cooler, and I was just using the coolmaster thermal compound that came with my old Hyper 212 EVO. It worked, but I didn't realize how much of a difference a good thermal compound would make. So I did my research, and found that although this isn't the best on the market (apparently "Coollaboratory Liquid" apparently is, but its tricky to apply, more expensive, and a special order item), it was the best that was readily available from here.

Simple. It dropped my Prime 95 (large FFTs test) hottest core temp from 79c to 74c just like that, no hassle. 5c drop!
It dropped my idle temps from 31c to 24c too, 7c drop.

Very impressed, very happy.

Also put it on my MSI 980Ti Gaming 6G, dropped it a good 4c, sits around 71c max load instead of 75c while overclocked to 1484mhz core/ 4000mhz ram.

Cons: NONE
