5 out of 5 eggsPricey but Good

Pros: Does it's job well. Comes with a flexible spatula-like spreader. Cap fits tightly so I don't think it will dry out. This is the Mercedes of thermal pastes.

Cons: 13$ is pricey for thermal paste.

Other Thoughts: I don't know how I justified spending $13 on thermal paste. Next time I'll probably go with something in the $7-$10 range. I don't really need a paste-spreader.

1 out of 5 eggsDried up

Pros: Worked Good while it did.

Cons: Dried up after the first use.
I made sure to properly put the lid back on after my first use, still this happened. While the tube of Arctic MX4 that I bought 1 year ago still works fine.

Other Thoughts: Really disappointed that it didn't live up to the reviews. Drying up is one of the big problems with Thermal compounds & I believe a Top of the line product like this shouldn't have this problem.
Probably going to Noctua for next time.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Noticeable Improvement

Pros: - Dropped my idle temps to as low as 28C (using Corsair H50 in push/pull configuration), ambient temps are roughly 25C, load temps max at 52C

- Very easy to apply, didn't need to use the included applicator

- Short break-in time

Cons: - The package is a hassle to open

Other Thoughts: I'm using this stuff on a 965BE at stock clock and voltages (3.4GHz, 1.4V at full throttle). Coming from Arctic Silver 5, I'd say this stuff is many times better, well in my opinion anyway.

Using the Corsair H50 (with Arctic Silver 5) in a push/pull configuration pulling air into the case, I used to idle in the mid to low 40s and my load temps used to be as high as 65C, a few degrees over the 62C safe limit that AMD specifies for the 965BE.

I allowed two days (48 hrs) of break-in time for this paste to settle, and I did notice that the idle temps dropped a degree or two since the initial readings. I'm not sure how much time is required to properly break-in this thermal paste, but I would say that a week should be more than enough.

My results may not have been as accurate as I cleaned my case fans and cleaned out the fins in my H50's radiator. I achieved a difference of ~15C by using GC-Extreme paste, along with less restricted air flow through my rad due to dust. I wouldn't expect a drop as big as 15C in idle temps just by using this paste, but it is possible, nevertheless.

5 out of 5 eggsBest compound ive used!

Pros: Amazing temps, inexpensive

Cons: Cant think of any

Other Thoughts: This compound is awesome!
I am running an i7 4770k on a MSI z87 XPOWER clocked at 4.5GHz with 1.25v with a Noctua NH-U12s 120mm AIR COOLER.
Temps using noctua's compound would max out at 85*, averaging in the 70's under 100% load. Replaced compound with GC extreme and the temps came down to a max of 75* with averages in the 60's at 100% load.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: this is great thermal paste. i have been using it in all my pc builds and other applications. it workds well in applications which it might come in contact with pins.. non-electro and non-capacitive conductance.

Cons: i am only giving a 4egg for this because newegg is completely out of the 10ozs and i been buying this stuff like crazy lately. i just bought two tubes from here and i needed much more i was forced to by 30ozs from someplace else i couldn't wait. and i am mad about this whole fiasco because i need like 100 ozs or 200 ozs or something. break loose with the thermal paste already . way they sell it you would think this stuff is illegal or something.

Other Thoughts: i have used this paste in all cpu pc builds, replacing stock paste in gpus and other applications. it works really well in all applications which is why i been using it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Supplement To Any Cooling Solution

Pros: Instant Results
Keeps temps down
Great supplement to any cooling solution
Highly Recommended
High Viscosity - Harder to Spread than Arctic Silver 5 - Better because it doesn't get all over the place like low viscosity TIM's do.

Cons: None really

4 out of 5 eggsSome very goopy goo for your CPU.

Pros: *Excellent thermal dissipation. I've used it for both my CPU and GPU. Both saw minor yet significantly lower temps. With a proper installation you should be able to hack off about 3-4 degrees Celsius from your load temps.

Cons: *Like others have said, this stuff is thick. It has the consistency of peanut butter when it's at room temperature. I highly advise you to put it in a baggie and let it sit in a cup of hot water for a few minutes. Also, once it's warm, work quickly. As it cools, it gets very sticky and hard to work with.
*Not recommended for beginner.

Other Thoughts: I usually use the pea sized blob in the center of the heat spreader for AMD chips. This method doesn't fare well with this stuff. I advise you to use the included spreader.

Also, this may not work well for heat sinks that have low installation pressure.

5 out of 5 eggsFixed my CPU cooling issues

Pros: I installed an H80i and the temps went *up* about 5 to 10 degrees over the stock Intel CPU cooler (from 30 - 35C to 35 - 45C). Decided the paste must have been bad and used some old Arctic Silver 5 I had laying around and didn't get enough on there for fear of putting too much and it messing up my system, so the temps were again 5-10 degrees higher with much wider fluctuations to the high side. It shot up to over 80C once.

So, I looked around and researched a lot of things and found the GELID GC-Extreme and took a chance. Cleaned it all up again and applied the compound a little thicker than probably necessary, but figured it's not supposed to be conductive, so what the heck.

It immediately dropped the temperatures down to below where the original Intel stock CPU cooler was (29 to 33C). After a little while, I now see temps as low as 25C and almost never above 40C even under load and in the middle of summer in Texas.

Cons: The only con I can find is it's a little odd spreading the paste evenly, but it's not that bad and a little too much in my case hasn't caused any issues in well over a month's worth of use.

Other Thoughts: Board: ASUS Z87-Pro
CPU: Intel I5-4670k
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding

Pros: Outstanding performance. Stands up well over time. The original application on a 4 year old CPU still going strong. This is my favorite thermal paste. I use it for CPU's and GPU's, on both air and water, I love it. I think this is pretty much the best you can get without going to the liquid metal stuff that is conductive and looks to be a real pain. This is one of those good products that just works great, I hope they never stop making it.

Cons: Almost impossible to spread, I don't even try anymore. The included spreader is useless. I just use a dot or a line and get excellent results!
