5 out of 5 eggsI cannot endorse this thing enough. Seriously.

Pros: I have a Powercolor 7950 GPU that is a veteran of the Scrypt Mining Wars of 2013. As a result of his service to the cryptocoin community, he has severe PTSmD (Post Traumatic Scrypt mining Damage). His cooling fans failed him, and he would routinely hit 84c in Arma2 games, causing memory crashes and worse. This cooler took his hot headed nature and turn things around through full contact metal-to-metal temperature therapy. This immovable object has met an unstoppable force for good; solid copper block with nice copper heat pipes. The sound of their 2190RPM hum, makes the fans a welcome addition to the family. They remind me of a gentle swarm of honeybees, that you really can't notice if you have Jeopardy on in the background. I found application and installation straightforward and pleasant. I would have enjoyed reading more engrish, but alas I do not believe the country of origin believes in this form of entertainment.

Cons: This cooler fits a WIDE range of graphics cards, so the instructions are a little more "catch-all" than I'd prefer. Maybe next time, Gelid.

Other Thoughts: As the title states, I cannot endorse this thing enough. However, should Gelid like to try to challenge me, say with an endorsement check of any amount, I would certainly TRY to endorse it enough!

4 out of 5 eggsNO NVIDIA COMPATIBILITY

Pros: For AMD Only please disregard comments about SLI in my previous post. Thanks

Cons: Fans spin 100% all the time

Other Thoughts: Good replacement for stock or broken fans, gives your graphics card longer a longer life/second life if stock fans die.

4 out of 5 eggsWarning for crossfire/sli prospectiver buyers

Pros: Copper pipes are nice, Installation wasn't too difficult takes a bit of common sense; and watch a youtube video of gelid cooler installation you will know what screws go where its pretty universal install for all gelid coolers so the screws will look familiar and you will know where to put them.

Cons: Warning for Crossfire/SLI users: beware this is a HUGE heatsink+fan unit. It will take up 3 slots on a pci board. Unless you have 3 slots between cards I do not recommend this gpu cooler unit for multi gpu setups.

I have this installed on my top card(2x amd sapphire 7950) and the fans are literally one hair away from chopping up my bottom cards PCB.

Other Thoughts: Don't get me wrong this is a great cooler, max temp. i seen running Project Cars in crossfire is 75 degrees with a +20% power draw on both cards at 850mhz clocks(ran the game for about 1hr) .

Just make sure if your are sli/crossfire you have adequate spacing and no wires in the way of the fans. But this is really meant for single card usage even though they say crossfire. I have a standard ATX board and it barely(and I mean barely) fits in crossfire.

The aluminum fins don't feel too cheap; all the heatsinks for memory and ram is there make sure this cooler is compatible with your card (if you look at the newegg picture of the packaging it says what cards are compatible.)

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect cooler for the 7970

Pros: This cooler exceeded my original expectations, I was running a reference design MSI 7970 and having temps under normal loads WITHOUT an overclock in the 85c - 95c area, As well as 95c on VRM 1 under load, And 85c on VRM 2 under load.

This however has now changed to having the GPU core temperature at a wonderful 55c under load, VRM 1 at 60c under load and VRM 2 at about 50c under load. This is a great change, And was well worth the investment in my particular case. Even though my case is well ventilated (Rosewill Thor V2 full tower), I still had insane temperatures on the stock cooler.

So ask yourself, Would you rather have 90c+ temperatures, Or 50 - 60c?

Notes: I installed this with MX-4 thermal paste instead of the included thermal paste. I'm unsure how good or even what consistency the included paste was.

- There was more than enough VRM heatsinks for the 7970 included, Even if I had messed up a few, I would have been able to just use a different one.

Cons: Manual wasn't exactly the greatest at explaining quite a few things, The best advice I can give is if you're having trouble following along with the book (For me I had the most issues with VRM heatsinks) that you simply look up a video or even pictures to see how other people did it.

That was really my only complaint.

Other Thoughts: Tip: When applying the heatsink and torquing down the four screws for it... DO NOT over-torque or you WILL break off either the screw, Or bend your GPU's PCB.

I actually did make the mistake of over-torquing one of the screws, Causing the screw to physically snap, Thankfully I was still able to get the broken end out.

I was able to use one of the spare screws (Different shape, Still worked) to remedy my own mistake.

Note: My first attempt after getting everything all nice and snug in the computer, I was having issues with my GPU. I would occasionally get orange and white lines which basically meant my GPU was failing. In desperation I ended up remounting the cooler.

Thankfully, Simply remounting the cooler fixed all my issues, And now this card is running amazingly cool. I had absolutely GREAT results. Does this mean you'll get the same? No. All cards vary, All installations will vary. If you have a reference cooler and your temps are higher than you want them to be, I do fully recommend getting this card.

- Why did I buy this over the ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme IV 280(X)?
This is an easy question. I had some concerns about if the larger Arctic cooler would fit inside my case, Even though I have a full tower.

My concern wasn't with the length, But rather with the width. I have a larger CPU cooler in my case pushing air out the back, Causing it to be somewhat close to the GPU. The Arctic cooler has a fairly large backplate on it, After measuring the dimensions of the backplate, I found out that I'd have some issues if I had bought that without measuring.

After thoroughly researching, I decided this was my best bet, And I don't regret it in the slightest. This is easily one of the best purchases I've made for my system, But at the end of the day... Don't buy a reference GPU or you end up buying this.

2 out of 5 eggsReally Unhappy

Pros: none, poor quality product, was missing hardware

Cons: really poor quality product, was shipped without any screws or standoffs and had to use my own.
Fans are uncovered and free to dice any wire that happens to get in its way and it will iof you are using anything smaller than a fulltower.

Fans are total garbage, product is way over priced for a $3 block of aluminum and .10cent fans.

i feel ripped off, temps on my 7950 are the same as when my fans were seized and i had to pay extra shipping from the USA.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS R9 280X DirectCU II TOP 3 GB

Pros: Installed on an Asus R9 280x and worked perfect!

stock cooler was getting 36 idle and 76 load
this cooler. 29 idle and 57 load!

I tested only on valley benchmark on ultra. temps didn't go over 57.
If you have one of these Asus cards, fans are hard to find and pretty expensive when you do find them, not to mention the wait time from China. If your fan is is busted on this card, it's worth getting this cooler.

Cons: Just wish the fans would be controlled by the GPU, I think the fans are running at 100% so it's louder than I would like it to be. You will probably need a fan controller.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler

Pros: Installed onto a XFX R7950 DD

Temps before install: Idle : 38 C Game play: 92 C+ Actually kicking off video, thus why I purchase this cooler.

Temps after install: Idle: 34 C Game play and stress testing never get above 63 C.

Fan is not half as noisy as the stock cooler and works a LOT better while game playing and stress testing.

Cons: Plugged fans into video card so when idle the fans are running at full speed 4k RPM. So I'm surprised the idle temps are not a little lower. This causes "noise" when just web surfing or editing compared to my old cooler. It's not annoyingly loud, but you hear them.

Other Thoughts: I have read that if you put the cooler fans onto your motherboard fan controller you can control the speed thus lessening the noise when idle.

Installing the VRM heat sinks are little tedious, but worth the effort when you can see the results.

4 out of 5 eggsGELID = COOL

Pros: Cools about 7-9C better than stock fans. Fits Sapphire 7950 3GB GPU. Does not fit most micro-itx cases (I have a Bitfenix Prodigy case).

Cons: I have to keep the side panel off in order to continue to use my Bitfenix Prodigy case. Not a big deal to me, I also have a Coolermaster 902XB lanbox that I choose not to use.

Don't use the Gelid paste, just buy Artic Silver 5.

Other Thoughts: i5 2500K (stock speed)
8GB G-Skill
Sapphire 7950 3GB gpu
Thermatake 600 watt psu

3 out of 5 eggsnot impressed

Pros: Quieter and cooler than stock heatsink, slim profile allows card to only take 2 slotsslots, easy to locate for purchase

Cons: Doesn't compare to thermal right heatsinks on 8800gt. This cooler works better than stock, but on 8800gt doesn't work as well as the TRad2 or hr-03. I only tested it for a week before deciding to purchase the TRad2 .

Other Thoughts: Contacted manufacturer customer support. They responded promptly, but still couldn't get it to perform better.
