5 out of 5 eggsSolid Fan For the Size and Price

Pros: Whisper quiet, pushes a ton of air for its tiny size.
Installs nice and easy.

Cons: No cons to report here.

Other Thoughts: No added noise adding a grille/finger guard to it.
Been going strong for almost 2 years. It's used as a CPU fan for a retro gaming rig.
Saw a 2c drop in temps from ancient stock CPU fan on the K6-3 450MHz. I plan on this ancient machine to run me for quite some time still and this fan has been an amazing help for it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fan, definitly quiet enough for my use. with lots of airflow

Pros: Lots of airflow
Quiet
low power consumption
just all in all a very great fan

Cons: No cons I can think of maybe the screw weren't useful in my application, but on a computer case it would work fine

Other Thoughts: would recommend this fan to anybody who wants a fan that can push a lot of air and is quiet in the process

5 out of 5 eggsGood airflow

Pros: CFM of 12 is pretty good such a small fan. Very well made -- the fans are sturdy.

I used 4 of these to reduce the temps in my dual hot swap bays in the Cooler Master HAF XM -- 2 on each side in a push-pull configuration. I would say it reduced the temps about 8-10 degrees celsius on my WD Re enterprise drives.

Cons: The label in the back started coming off on one of them.

Other Thoughts: Very useful for the purpose I used it for. I used loctite super glue to bind 2 of them together and then glued the result to either side of the hot swap bays in a push pull configuration in my CM HAF XM.

2 out of 5 eggsFall Far Short of Claimed Life

Pros: Great airflow and whisper quiet until they failed; very loud bearing noise at 4% of rated life.

Cons: These failed me after slightly more than a year at 4-5 hours of use per day. My original review was quite glowing but I'm not so impressed with these failing at roughly 4% of their rated MTTF (~2,000 Hours of 50,000 Hours advertised). They are set up drawing air into a warm enclosure so they've been constantly bathed in 70-75 deg F air their whole life, quite pampered compared to fans drawing warm air out in most scenarios. I was led to believe that the hydrodynamic bearing was superior in longevity but that obviously is not the case with Gelid.

Other Thoughts: I'll probably go with another brand next time; tearing into my case once a year to replace fans is unreasonable, and does get expensive.

3 out of 5 eggsstarts to become noisy after 2 years

Pros: Quite and powerful when new

Cons: started making noises after 2 years. it is now unbearable and is noiser than the fan that it replaced. it seemed like it leaked oil. was used in a CCTV system running 24/7

Other Thoughts: No idea how to obtain warranty. you keep get passed around.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little fan

Pros: I bought several of these to cool the VRM heatsinks on the motherboards in my systems since I'm using liquid cooling for the CPU's. Once you remove the stock HSF, the VRM's no longer have any active cooling unless you again add a fan to the area. These seemed like the perfect choice after reading some reviews.

Cons: They weren't free?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance and Quality

Pros: Above average airflow for it's size, very quiet operation.

Cons: Wires aren't color coded.

Other Thoughts: I bought a pair of these as part of a cooling upgrade to my Asus CS5111 Media Center PC. Their near silent operation allows me to run them at 90% speed and still be much quieter than the stock fans at 40%. They've been the perfect solution and I couldn't ask for better performance. The low level noise produced is more of a "whirring" rather than the lower pitched hum of my old fans and is much more pleasant to be around. Highly recommended due to very high flow rate at low decibel levels. Other fans of this size may be slightly quieter, but move less than half the air that these do. I'm very satisfied that these were the right choice now that they've been in service for a while. Money well spent and cheap insurance in the form of excellent cooling for my hard drive, motherboard, and processor. As always, Newegg delivers with fast shipping and top notch support.
