1 out of 5 eggsDid not perform as expected

Pros: 28mm height fits 1U server chassis or HTPC case.

Cons: I wish I could give this '0' eggs... This heatsink is supposed to handle up to 95 watt TDP. WIth a 65 watt processor, this unit cannot keep up. Processor core temps rose to 75 degrees Celsius in just a few minutes. The construction is terrible - on the mating surface the copper heat pipes are not smoothly nestled into the aluminum heatsink housing, which creates an uneven surface, leading to poor thermal transfer. Further, it's built out of very low quality (not very dense) aluminum, which results in poor thermal transfer.

Other Thoughts: Just an absolute piece of junk in my opinion.

This product, offered by Newegg, should be much much better -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835114039 -- and it's about the same price.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't be afraid

Pros: Very small, quiet and keeps my fan-less system cool... like really cool.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: You do have to add the included backplate to the motherboard but is simple once you get into it. I was skeptical about the cooling power this had so I used some arctic silver and am extremely pleased with results.

1 out of 5 eggsPoorly designed

Pros: Because this heat sink is designed poorly and allows for the build up of heat, there are no pros.

Cons: The copper pipes running through the base plate have space between them, which means that there is a gap where heat can build up. Thermal grease can not fill the gaps well enough to stop the build up of heat. My processor reached temperatures of 150 degF within a minute.

Other Thoughts: The stock heat sink that came with the processor works far better than this one ever could. For proper heat transfer, you need a smooth surface to contact the processor. This heat sink it the opposite of that.

5 out of 5 eggsGELID Solutions CC-Ssilence-APLUS 65mm Ball CPU Cooler

Pros: Low Profile
Quiet
Cool

Cons: Could move more air.

Other Thoughts: Used in an mini-ITX build for HTPC and whole system is a bit loud. I had to replace the stock cooler on my AMD A8-3850 processor and this fit the bill nicely.

4 out of 5 eggsGelid Low Profile CPU Cooler - 1u FM1

Pros: Fits inside 1u case with modification to baseplate. Very quiet and efficient fan with excellent build quality. This is the quietest fan I could find that would fit the FM1 apu in a 1u form factor mini-itx.

Cons: Modification to the baseplate was necessary to fit within 40mm 1u case. I wouldn't recommend this fan to anyone attempting an over clock with the 1u cases, but that would be silly anyway.
