5 out of 5 eggsZaward 120

Pros: Compact , good performance . Intel core 2 duo e8500 @ 44 C running Prime 95 for 1 hr with 2- 120 mm case fans .

Cons: None I can think of .

Other Thoughts: Should I decide to overclock , I will add an additional fan to the cooler .

5 out of 5 eggsBig!

Pros: Works as advertised! Processor temps dropped 15c from the garbage cooler that came with the AMD processor!

Cons: It is huge! I have a full sized case, and almost did'nt need to put the locking clips on as with the side cover installed, it put some pressure on the cooler and holds it in place!

Other Thoughts: None other than its too big to use in a desktop case

2 out of 5 eggsWon't Fit in Standard Tower/4U Case

Pros: Great cooling, solid mounting, everything included unless you need premium thermal compound. AM3 compatible. Big fan. Quiet.

Cons: Doesn't fit in a standard case. I got this for a 4U rackmount server (same as a standard PC case on its side) and the side panel won't fit on. The top of the fins are at the right height, but the heatpipe tips stick up about a half inch higher than any standard PC case can handle. I should have noticed the other review that said, "Due to it's size you really can't have the side cover on unless you make it fit." That's correct.
I got a similar cooler with the same size fan for another machine and it doesn't stand up so high off the CPU, so everything fits properly. That manufacturer doesn't make an AM3-compatible unit yet, so I got this one. Now I need to order something different, pull this one and rebuild the system.
That other unit also has nice clips for the fan attachment - this spring-wire solution here is a freshman effort.

Other Thoughts: Using the fan improves the CPU temp by 20 F - this 125W CPU needs the fan.
-1 egg for the wire clips, but -2 for not fitting in a PC case. The specs are disclosed and not misleading, but it's a bad design decision - making the heatsink 5mm shorter would dramatically improve case compatibility. Stay away from this revision unless you have an extra-wide case (love your components and keep the sides on your computers for proper airflow!).

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great but mounting can be a problem

Pros: Works great!

Got it as part of a new AM3 1095T build so I don't have "before" temps to compare to, but my idle temps run about 33 degrees and load temps 44 degrees.

Plus I always like products that use brain to improve performance (dimpled fins on the heatsink and dimples on the fan blades) instead of just adding more of the same (more heatpipes, more fins, more pass)

Cons: My only complaint is that the mounting bracket on the back is a little thick, making mounting a mobo with the HSF attached into a case with short standoffs difficult.

Other Thoughts: This fan is a great bargain offering a hell of a lot of performance for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Cooler

Pros: Huge cooler does it's job very well. Much cheaper than other brands and the quality and performance of this tower is just as good as any I've seen.

Cons: I wasn't kidding, this is a monster but if you have a full tower there shouldn't be any problems. I have a Thermaltake Armor VA8000 series tower and the cpu fan lines up perfectly with the rear exhaust fan, great air flow.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a core i7 build and it's doing just great.

before Vapor 120 = idle: 38C----Load: 50C

After Vapor 120 = idle: 33C----Load: 46C

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing.

Pros: Amazing. Fits perfectly in a rosewill CHALLENGER.
Before zaward: 34 C idle, 57 Full
after: 27 C, 48 Full

Cons: the fan install to the heatsink was very... ghetto?they gave me wires, to fit into slots on the top and bottom of the heatsink. these were impossible to fit without bending. so i justt flat out slapped them on there. fan has yet to move, but it was an... interesting install

Other Thoughts: cools like no other. highly recommend

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: Won't mount correctly

Other Thoughts: So I just purchased a new Vapor 120. Last night I set about to put the thing on my new motherboard. I read through the manual, and it seemed like a piece of cake. I attached the heat sink mounting bracket to the back of the motherboard, and began popping the mount screws through the holes.

1, 2, 3...Easy enough...This is a piece of cake!
I get to the fourth mounting screw, and a bam. I am stopped dead in my tracks. I attempt for 20 plus minutes to get the 'standoff' bolt to screw on to the mounting screw. It will not screw on. Upon further inspection, it appears that the thread count on the screw is slightly different than that on the standoff. No matter what I try it will not go on. I even try and use two sets of pliers (one to hold the screw the other the standoff) to physically force the standoff onto the screw. I thought maybe it would re-thread the screw. Nope, not happening.

So, the long of the short?
I have three good screws to attach my brand

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: - Plate mounted
- Blue LED Fan
- Fairly Quiet
- Easy Install

Cons: - Blue LED Fan (assuming it's not your thing)
- Didn't purchase this sooner.

Other Thoughts: Zaward made a great heat sink with this one. You really can't go wrong. CPU - Intel Q6600 O.C.'d to 3Ghz

Before Zaward:
mid 50's idle - high 80's - low 90's loads (gaming)

After Zaward:
mid 30's idle - mid 50's loads (gaming)

5 out of 5 eggsBeat the Heat

Pros: Very nice packaging. Excellent Weight to it. Everything had its own little ziplock bag nice and neat. Came with excellent base design and hardware. Everthing minus the screwdriver is in the box including thermal paste. Instructions were easy to read and follow. Fits a bunch of socket types between Intel and AMD. The base that sits underneath the motherboard was chrome polished steel with a thick felt top for cusion. Strong stuff, not potmetal. All of the fins have this custom Dimple design for airflow. Looks unique. The fan follows this theme also. In short. It's awesome

Cons: The metal retainer wires that hold the fan to the heatsink stumped me for a second and the picture focused on a corner of the fan. Wasn't much help. Also more of a suggestion, I had to punch out(was pre-punched)an additional piece of the base felt material to seat it. There were surface mount components directly under the socket and the felt takes alot to compress. More than those little components would like. The instructions don't specify this. Last but not least, This thing is tall. I have a mid-tower with four 5.25 bays. Average size case. The nubs of the heatpipe are sticking out where the plexi side cover sits. No door unless modified a little.

Other Thoughts: You get what you paid for and this puppy is gold. Blows the stock cooler out of the water. I'm running a Phenom 9750 quad core, Socket AM2+. My temps sucked with the OEM retail AMD approved heatsink THEY INCLUDE WITH THE CPU. I couldn't utilize my $315 Zotac 9800GTX for gamming cause my CPU would hit 70C and trigger the BIOS alarm. Idle was 55C. Now, problem solved. Idle at 33C. Gamming at 53C. Well within spec now. I picked this one because nobody else has, and this heatsink has the highest CFM I seen. Around 92. The heatsink is the size of three 5.25 bays, and half the thickness of a power supply. Has A 120MM fan pushing accross 6 heat pipes. This thing moves alot of air. Due to it's size you really can't have the side cover on unless you make it fit. No issue for me as I've been running for years without it. In the end I'm glad I spent the $50. I feel like I got a real product instead of another knock off tryin to make a quick buck.
