4 out of 5 eggsBlue dancing leds

Pros: Selectable led flash patterns. Reasonably quiet.

Cons: One of the 3 units I purchased developed a led problem, as the flash pattern is not selectable any more, it just stays in one setting. Not a deal killer, and not worth the trouble to get a replacement.

1 out of 5 eggsPWM= NO LIGHTS!

Pros: Looks cool when fan runs at full speed. Not terribly priced.

Cons: Ok, here it comes. The 4-pin connection is used by the motherboard to vary the RPM of the fan. (To control the speed of the fan). The problem is that when you set the BIOS to control the fan using the PWM setting, THE LIGHTS DON'T TURN ON! So, for my mobo, the only way to get the light show is to run the fan at full speed. And it is loud. If you use the SMART fan option (either voltage, auto, or PWM) you will not get the lights to show. This is absolutely ridiculous and should be corrected by the manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: Now, if your using the pc heavy and it actually causes the fan to spin higher the light might actually go on but I haven't tested that.

Mobo is a Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3. A 5ish year old board.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat light effects, good air movement

Pros: Great lighting effects and wonderful colors, good workmanship, good accessories, the colors are spectacular.

Cons: A little bit loud in air movement, and no washers/rubber things to go between the screws and case when installing.

Other Thoughts: The voltage regulator accessory was a good inclusion and the screws fit good, but no washers/rubber things to go between the screw and case, which should be included.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Fan

Pros: Lighting features - This was the primary reason for me to choose this fan. It has three or so mode of lighting that just make this fan look cool.
Low Noise - The fan this replaced was breaking and making horrible noise. This is now the quietest fan in my rig. Even at maximum speed I don't really hear this fan.
Great airflow :)

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: More of a problem with my old case design than the fan, but there is no way to bring the button that changes the lighting modes tot he outside without crushing the wire.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat low, a bit to loud

Pros: Great looking fans. The LED cycle switch came with a great adhesive pad and it's easy to route to a place that's convenient and out of the way. All in all a great case fan.

Cons: They are a bit louder that I like if you're having to run them off the molex adapter. I would love to try their PWM lower fan speeds to see if that helps with the noise.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a bright, high quality fan

Pros: I waited until time to give the hardware a good cleaning to change out my fans, but this was an eggcellent choice for a case upgrade. It's not only quieter than the plain white fan it replaced, but the blue lights that cycle their pattern has grown quickly on me. Now I want a couple more.

Cons: None. It wasn't free! Haha!

Other Thoughts: Easy to install, quiet, moves a lot of air, has a functioning light switch to change the bright blue LED patterns, or you can turn the lights off altogether if you prefer. The fan just looks high quality in my case, and works just perfectly.

1 out of 5 eggsno NO lites using 4 pin pwm on lower rpm

Pros: I guess if your into a blue Christmas its ok

Cons: Very noisy at 1600 rpm (MAX) and thats the only way the lites will work...be forewarned.... Will not lite at reduced voltage settings to lower fan rpm

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customers,

Sorry for the inconvenience. If you are willing to submit an RMA ticket for this, we are more than happy to replace it with a non-LED PWM fan or a LED fan with 3 pin connector.

Thank you,

Customer Service

3 out of 5 eggsOne of a kind, flawed wire placement

Pros: Very cool looking patterns, moves a ton of air.

Cons: Button to switch between light modes is wired through the inside the fan. As I got it, the fan tore off those wires because they come in contact half the time. Strangely enough, it doesn't bother me too much, if I wanna change modes I have to stop the fan while it's running and short out the contacts.

You will want to limit the speed off the fan. 100% and even 90% is loud, though it does move a ton of air.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat fan, only minor issues

Pros: Great airflow to noise. The LEDs are very bright and I like the patterns.

Cons: Odd shape will not work with some toolless mounts. Screwing these babies in is MUCH more difficult than average and if you happen to have 4 bolts, washers, and nuts that will fit through the whole assembly that would be the way to go. The timing on the last LED pattern is not consistent from fan to fan, so if you have more than 1 of these don't expect them to flash in sync. I view all these as minor issues compared to the function of the fan though.

Other Thoughts: I use them at 100% in a Cooler Master HAF XB. They are still bright throught the front mesh and are much quieter than the stock fans-while moving a lot more air. If you do use the 4 short screws these come with to mount-try puting the screws into the fan a few times before you install to tap out the holes and when you do install push in on the other side of the fan so you don't strip the head of the screw. As for the patterns not changing in sync-I put them on a molex Y-adapter so they would get power at the same time-one simply changes paterns ~0.1 seconds faster than the other one.
