4 out of 5 eggsBest Fans I've Recently Purchased

Pros: Great price for a 4 pack
Sufficiently long power cable
Noticeably quietest fans in my case as either intake and/or exhaust mounted horizontally and vertically. Cougar fans are functioning well in push/pull on my liquid cooling unit
Moves decent amount of air--sounds like a gentle breeze--absolutely no whistling, whirling, or humming noises
Construction feels solid.

Cons: Four fans but two packs of screws; not a problem, have plenty screws but seemed unusual--probably a packaging oversight.

Other Thoughts: I'm very impressed with these. Thought they would be inferior to the pumpkin orange Vortex fans due to quantity pricing--not so, just as good. Used this box of 4, ordering another with the 20% discount making an even better package. Always use soft black rubber faucet washers between fan frame and tower case to help ensure vibration is minimized--works great costing a few cents per fan.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal on Quality fans

Pros: This is a great package of quality fans! Quiet, and unlike many others, they are quiet, AND MOVE A LOT OF AIR AT THE SAME TIME.
Next time I need case fans, these are what I'll purchase!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Comes with 3-pin connection, but also includes adapters for molex connection. Also includes screws.

I would have to rate these as the best 120mm fans I've ever used.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, good airlfow rate, all 4 in the box worked

Pros: All 4 in the box worked silently with good airflow. Nice all-black design makes them bland in with my black case without having to spray paint parts of them.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGood fans, even mounted horizontally

Pros: These fans are terrific value. They also blow a respectable amount of air for how quiet they are.

Cons: None. I was worried about mounting these horizontally after my bad experience with a couple Cougar 140mm Hydro fans that vibrated badly when mounted horizontally.

Other Thoughts: Fans are quiet with no vibration in any mounting position.

Long life bearing.
Cheap.

Cons: None I can think of.

Other Thoughts: You could do a little better but you will pay a lot more to get the performance.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Very pretty to look at before installation. Excellently engineered.

I hooked two of these puppies up into a pull, push config with my corsair H80 pump with the original intention of replacing the noisy-as-your-newly-wed-next-door-neighbors-if-you-know-what-I-mean stock fans. Right away after installation, I immediately noticed a noise difference from my stock Corsair fans. That's a huge plus for me (I'll explain why I knocked an egg off in cons).

My computer is pretty much silent now during light use. Even during gaming it is still silent. My PC:
Corsair c70 Vengeance case
MSI 970a-g46 mainboard
AMD FX-6100 CPU (OC'ed to 4ghz)
Corsair H80 Closed Water Cooling Loop
Gigabyte GTX 670 2gb Windforce
8gb stock 1600 DDR3 RAM
OCZ 120GB SDD
1TB HDD
550W PSU,
5 case fans

Cons: My only con with this product is that I actually saw an increase in my CPU temperatures. Before with my stock fans, I was running idle temperatures in the 8c-12c range (doing absolutely nothing), to light use temperates in to 10-15c range, and full-throttle every-thing-go mode temperatures around 30-35c. I must also include the note that my H80 pump was set at speed 1 the entire time.

My light use temperature is currently sitting at 15c, which mind you is still pretty darn chilly (it's a few degrees below my current room temperature). So from this I am concluding that. However, if I kick it up to pump speed 3, the temperature will drop by into 10-15c range.

Anyway, that's why I knocked an egg off the scoreboard. However, the sheer quietness (is that a word?) make these fans a great value.

Other Thoughts: 4 great fans for $32?! Heck yeah! I got mine a little cheaper with a 20% off coupon so that made the deal even sweeter.

UPS super saver shipping definitely took the super saving route this time around too :( I waited a full week for my product, but that's not a complaint. I've seen products mailed here in under 3 business days with super saver so sometimes I get a little spoiled.

Newegg rocks! Wouldn't deal with any other PC component supplier anywhere! They're great! :)

5 out of 5 eggsBest bet for a quiet case

Pros: Great price/quality ratio, especially if you use a fan discount coupon code. Have gotten this 4 pack for $24 twice now. That's $6 a fan for what is almost the same model as a fan that normally costs $15 a piece! They move decent air, and more importantly are practically silent. If you don't need crazy airflow for exxxxtreme over clocking these make great replacements for cheaper, noisier, stock case fans.

Have a couple in my case with a Hyper 212 and 7950 and the whole thing never gets above a gentle hum even when gaming. A far cry from the freight train that was some noisy Scythe fans and a 4870 in a past rig...

Getting a new set to replace the stock Rosewill fans in my gf's case, so the computer room will be almost silent.

Cons: Nadda.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fans

Pros: Move a lot of air, very quiet, and affordable.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've owned one of these fans as it came with my Cougar Challenger case. It was orange. Unfortunately my case is the black and red model Challenger. I decided to stick with the Cougar because it was quiet and seemed to do the job.

Well, once I installed all four of these in the case (and removed the orange) my temps dropped six degrees! I honestly couldn't believe it but I guess that is why Cougar has an easy plan laid out for this case to get the positive/negative air ratio to even out.

Highly recommended and if your temps don't drop by as much as mine mix it up a little. I originally tried a different setup and only dropped on degree temp in the case.

There ARE four fans in the box!

5 out of 5 eggs
Nice and quiet replacement fans; well, a ton quieter than the ones I replaced.
