5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Solid, quiet, reasonably priced, and push loads of air.

Cons: Must be mounted tightly or have their mounting adjusted for vibration, since they do put out noticeable vibration, especially when installed in side panels.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased multiple sets of these for multiple builds. I can't recommend these enough. In terms of getting your fan slots full on new builds, this is the way to go.

5 out of 5 eggsGood quality Fans

Pros: I have been using Cougar fans for about 4 years now, ive never had to worry about noise or failure. They just work set them and forget them.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Cougar fans compared to other designs are more robust, they feel stronger or better made, i hope that make sense. There construction is thicker and those the fan blades don't break due to a careless act while clean or replacing a compent.

5 out of 5 eggsMy go to case fan

Pros: I have been using these fans in my pc and all my customer builds as the 'stock' cooling option for the past 2 1/2 years. Out of the almost 130 of these I've used at this point, I have had a single fan fail. Other then that one not even the smallest hint of a whine, and no complaints from any one that optioned these for their build.

Quiet, efficient, no LED's, comes with all necessary hardware, and a great price as I always try to stock up when they are 30% off, but they are absolutely worth the full price IMHO.

Cons: I'm not gonna complain about 1 failure out of all of these I've used, you can't expect 100% out of a mass produced item.

5 out of 5 eggsNot mind blown, but very satisfied.

Pros: Quiet in a closed case.
Move plenty of air. Keeps cheap air cooler running at acceptable temps on temporary heat sink cooling my 8350.
Good case fans. Sufficient radiator fans.

I bought these to replace the two 120mm fans on my h100i, also 1 for bottom intake and one for rear exhaust.

Cons: None really. Not SILENT, but very quiet.

Other Thoughts: Worth the money. Buy a pack, come back for more if you need them. Nice pack for out fitting a standard mid range gamer case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for what I needed

Pros: Box came unsealed (as intended), but inside everything was perfectly packed, good quality control with the one I received anyway. They are manufactured by Power Logic to Cougar design specs. These Turbine fans are identical in most respects to the more expensive Vortex CF-V12HB model but are rated at 150000 hours (17 years) life compared to Vortex 300000 hours (34 years), cooler shape, sleeved cables and rubber mounting pins. The extra expense is due to those extra features, not better performance. These Turbines are a much sounder investment than the Vortex for the average user. Definitely worth the sale price of $25 which comes to $6.25 for each fan. They also include black 3-pin to 4-pin adapters which are not common with other 4-packs. These fans are slower RPM compared to other similarly priced fans (up to $8 each) but still push significant amount of air (air pressure is 1.73 mm H2O, by the way). They also show no signs of noise typical of vibration, whining of bearings/motor, orientation (ie. laying down), etc. Of course, it remains to be seen how long that will last. This is the main reason for buying these fans, and I only feel good about that based on the sale price.

Cons: The adapters' 3-pin end pins are not fixed like most adapters which means you will need to be careful how the cable is bent when connecting to the fan, or the pins will be bent wrong and not connect. If holding the connector properly, the connection should be easy though. If you feel any resistance, the pins are probably not aligned.

These only spin at 1200 RPM (one mobo reports it spinning at 1300) and only put out 60 CFM, great at that RPM (as I expected) but not nearly as much air as higher RPM fans are capable of (87CFM or more). If you want maximum cooling at lowest noise, there are better, albeit pricier, alternatives. There are also lower price alternatives, but those tend to have low life expectancy, much lower than stated even, based on many reviews (especially Xigmatek brand), as well as noticeable bearing/motor noise, lower air flow and higher dBA.

Other Thoughts: These 1200 RPM fans are designed for use in situations where a fan controller is not available/affordable or on boards that lock out user ability to control mobo fan speeds (branded PCs). In these situations, these fans are slow enough and quality enough to be pretty quiet while pushing more air than other fans at the same RPM. In other words, best full speed fans at the lowest noise.

If you can control the speed of the fans (fan controller or BIOS), consider higher CFM and RPM fans that can be spun down in low-load situations (typical usage) and ramped up for high-end gaming and other full-load uses. Remember, 87CFM is typical for 2200-2500 RPM fans. Look for one with highest CFM, but also be mindful of dBA levels, unless you don't mind loud fans.

1 out of 5 eggsUnimpressed.

Pros: Kinda quiet. They sound like they're moving a lot of air at max RPM, but it's deceptive.

Cons: Low air flow, next to no static pressure. Swapping my old fans for these (Megaflows and Sickleflows) resulted in higher temps across the board with every stress test I've run, and these are only quieter than the Sickleflows at 100% speed.

Other Thoughts: Some reviews on here compared these to Cooler Master Sickleflows and claimed these are better. I have two Sickleflows. These flow maybe half as much air. They're quieter if you measure max RPM against max RPM, but the Sickleflows are quieter at the same RPM.

That's right. Sickleflows are quieter at the same RPM level. I'm not sure why these sound like they're moving a lot of air because they're not. If you put the two kinds of fan side by side and run them at 100% the difference in air flow is tremendous - the Sickleflow crushes the Turbine.

I'd recommend Sickleflows over these for any application in which you can connect the fans to a fan speed controller or your motherboard. They're quieter at similar RPM and move substantially more air at max RPM. They're also only $0.50 more per fan if you get the non-LED version, and you don't need to buy them in a set of four to get that price.

Sickleflows aren't the best fans out there by any stretch, but from a budget stand point they just trash the Cougar Turbines.

5 out of 5 eggsThese are amazing

Pros: I can't believe how powerful these are and I can barely even hear them.

Cons: The cables aren't sleeved

Other Thoughts: I am very sensitive to small noises, people say the fans that come with the Corsair H105 are completely silent but this hum they produce is horrible. I ordered more Cougar fans to replace those.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome fans for the price

Pros: Quiet and efficient! Had a pretty loud system before these and now I can barely hear it.

Great deal for the price.

Cons: Airflow is not as strong as I was hoping.
