5 out of 5 eggsPerfectly Quiet - Excellent Quality

Pros: - It's quiet - really, not just "quiet series", its quiet
- I find the voltage adapters to be useful since a fan controller is not an option for me.
- Quality of the fan in excellent. I have purchase other bands and this is by far the best fan you can buy.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Going

Pros: 1. Moves lots of air
2. Quiet without inline plugs at 1200rpm

Other Thoughts: Purchased a couple of these on 10-31-2009 and they are still running

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, very quiet

Pros: These are now the only fans I buy. Includes cables for three max speed settings. Mine are spinning slow and the case in nice and cool.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Some people don't like the color of these fans. If the color of the fan matters, there are lots of alternatives, but the performance is unmatched.

After using these 120mm fans, I ordered some 80mm fans for use as replacements in the recording studio where I work - they're that quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsSilent

Pros: Silent using the U.L.N. adapter # 600 R.P.M.
Solid construction.
Best fan on the market.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this fan for additional cooling of the NH-D14, even though it is not purpose specific for that, whereas the NF-P12 fan is. The reason is that the NF-S12B slightly quieter at the slowest R.P.M.

The NFS12B facing is thicker and required drilling of each hole to countersink the OEM tabs so that the wires that attach it to the cooler would fit. Easily done and I am highly satisfied with the results.

5 out of 5 eggsExceptional

Pros: Excellent air flow
Quiet
Low power consumption
Should be long life

I know of no better fans.

Cons: Price

Black or clear would be better than tan.

My wallet will shrink further, because I will soon order more for other computers in the house.

Other Thoughts: Study carefully, to select the correct version(s) for your application(s).

Replaced the rear case fan with this, and the CPU fan with the Noctua P12-1300 (both without the included speed-reducing extensions). System consumption decreased by more than four watts. My stock-speed computer now idles (as I write this) at **38 watts** wall power.

I also used one of the Noctua speed-reducing extensions for my front, Lian Li blue LED fan. The LEDs still glow.

Noise is virtually inaudible. CPU temps idle in the low 30s C, never reach 50 C.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet Performance

Pros: Moves large volumes of air very quietly.
Solid, high-quality construction (it IS a Noctua)
Near zero vibration
Integrated rubber insulation pads

Cons: PWM would be a nice addition

Other Thoughts: This fan is designed to move large volumes of air into or out of a case with the less resistance, the better. It's optimized for airflow, not static pressure, so I wouldn't use it on a CPU cooler or radiator. The sharply angled, widely spaced blades move loads of air very quietly, even at full 12V power. I use it to feed outside air to two fans pushing up through my H100i and out, and it works beautifully. Highly recommended.

4 out of 5 eggsThe number 1 fan (no pun intended)

Pros: Super quality build, lots of attention to detail. The plastic is more durable, seems like a tougher plastic than a stock fan. Sleeved power cable, makes for clean install. Unable to hear it with ULNF adapter, had to put my hand over the fan to make sure it was working, and yes, it does push quite a bit of air. That's why I paid a premium for this fan, and on those counts, it definitely delivers.

Cons: In-line resistors. So many other ways to slow down a fan, and they chose in-line resistors, and the worst part is, there's no indicator of which one is which. Blue, black, which is the ULNF and which is the LNF? I had to lookup on the web to figure out the BLUE is the quietest and the BLACK is the medium setting.

Other Thoughts: I'm not going to dock it for price, because I knew what I was going to pay BEFORE I bought it. Won't dock it for color because it's also apparent what color it is BEFORE I bought it. I will, however, dock it for the missing part I couldn't find where it states which of the resistors is the ULNF and which was the LNF, so I can have the setup I wanted. I had to find out using the website.

Not to mention, so many other ways to slow down the fan without having to use in-line resistors. How about a switch? or a button on the fan assembly, or something more well thought-out than having to open the case, and rewire the cable.....little things, of course, that's why the dock of one egg, but again, with great construction, attention to detail, ultra quiet, great airflow, why skimp on that?

That being said, I'll still buy Noctua fans instead of any other. I know a lot of people drop eggs for the color, but I like the signature color; as a tech, if I was to glance at someone's case and see the distinctive baby-poop colored fans, I'll know immediately they have good taste in quality products.
