5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet, multiple options for voltages and therefore decibel level

Cons: Poor documentation to indicate which adapters are which. It comes with a 5v and 7v adapter, and runs 12v without adapter. However, I had to find this out on line.

5 out of 5 eggsTop of the line case fan

Pros: Top notch. Very quiet. Performs very well. Rubberized sleeved power leads. Screw less mounting hardware. Impressive packaging.

Cons: Expensive

Other Thoughts: The colors may or may not be a con. I have 4 of these, 3 doing pull work on a 360mm radiator and one push elsewhere in my case.

Quiet. Very quiet for the amount of air they push.

Pros: quiet like advertised. the different inline resistors included were very useful.

Cons: none. work great. should probably label the inline resistors better for the non technically inclined.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice! I usually buy Noctua when looking for a quiet fan. I have about six Noctuas in my computer cases over the past few years and never had a problem with any of them. Want to keep my computers quiet and they all seem to run as quiet as the day I put them in. I run all my Noctuas at the highest speed setting as they are quiet enough for me but you could use the inline adapters that come with the fans to quiet them even more if you want.

Cons: I know some people complain about the brown color of the fans but I, personally, don't care one bit what they look like.

The only very minor unexpected occurrence I had is when I installed this fan using the optional rubber fasteners that come with it. I pulled on a couple of them too hard and the top of the rubber fastener stretched and broke off. The fans still stayed in place, though, so no harm done. I have put in a few other Noctuas using the rubber fasteners and never had any other breakages. Perhaps a little KY jelly (or spit) on the rubber fasteners to lube them would mean less pulling strength required because they will slide into place easier due to less frictional resistance.

Other Thoughts: Just make sure you get a Noctua with the "3 speed setting" option in case you are looking for the quietest fan possible.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfectly Quiet - Excellent Quality

Pros: - It's quiet - really, not just "quiet series", its quiet
- I find the voltage adapters to be useful since a fan controller is not an option for me.
- Quality of the fan in excellent. I have purchase other bands and this is by far the best fan you can buy.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, very quiet

Pros: These are now the only fans I buy. Includes cables for three max speed settings. Mine are spinning slow and the case in nice and cool.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Some people don't like the color of these fans. If the color of the fan matters, there are lots of alternatives, but the performance is unmatched.

After using these 120mm fans, I ordered some 80mm fans for use as replacements in the recording studio where I work - they're that quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsSilent

Pros: Silent using the U.L.N. adapter # 600 R.P.M.
Solid construction.
Best fan on the market.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this fan for additional cooling of the NH-D14, even though it is not purpose specific for that, whereas the NF-P12 fan is. The reason is that the NF-S12B slightly quieter at the slowest R.P.M.

The NFS12B facing is thicker and required drilling of each hole to countersink the OEM tabs so that the wires that attach it to the cooler would fit. Easily done and I am highly satisfied with the results.

5 out of 5 eggsExceptional

Pros: Excellent air flow
Quiet
Low power consumption
Should be long life

I know of no better fans.

Cons: Price

Black or clear would be better than tan.

My wallet will shrink further, because I will soon order more for other computers in the house.

Other Thoughts: Study carefully, to select the correct version(s) for your application(s).

Replaced the rear case fan with this, and the CPU fan with the Noctua P12-1300 (both without the included speed-reducing extensions). System consumption decreased by more than four watts. My stock-speed computer now idles (as I write this) at **38 watts** wall power.

I also used one of the Noctua speed-reducing extensions for my front, Lian Li blue LED fan. The LEDs still glow.

Noise is virtually inaudible. CPU temps idle in the low 30s C, never reach 50 C.
