5 out of 5 eggs92mm CPU cooler

Pros: Installed perfectly cleared memory with all 4 slots full on Asus Cross-hair IV Formula Z - kept my CPU cool even with O/C - no issues. Has been doing its job for months now W/O a single problem..

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Did opt for hi CFM fan as noise is no issue with build.

3 out of 5 eggsWrong direction if AMD

Pros: Keeps things cool.
Quiet.
ultra low noise, low noise or normal options.
Assembly/instructions done well.
Comes with thermal compound.

Cons: The metal clips on it block 1 RAM slow (using Ripjaw), like many have mentioned.

If you are mounting on AM3 socket the only directions of air flow available is top to bottom/ bottom to top. You can NOT have the CPU fans vent out the rear fan. You have to vent it out the top or blow it down towards your PCI slots. This is a pretty big oversight since its standard to vent out the top back.

Other Thoughts: It's also not that attractive, but I knew that from looking at the pictures.

Comes with a neat little owl sticker.

5 out of 5 eggsEffective CPU Cooler

Pros: - Keeps my CPU below 50 degrees celsius under moderate load.

- Easy to install

- Documentation and warranty are good.

- Fans are very quiet.

- Comes with good quality thermal paste.

Cons: - I wish the CPU fan cables were shorter, as it is I don't need them to be as long as they are and they take up unnecessary space.

5 out of 5 eggsEfficient heatsink

Pros: After one year, it still keeps my Intel 2600K OC'd at 4GHz nice and cool. Temps:
Idle: 32C
Under load: <57C

The processor can be rendering something using 100% CPU for 12 hours and not break 60C.

Cons: A bit difficult to put on.

Other Thoughts: This is a great cooler.

Other heat related specs:
Case: HAF 912
Fans: 2x 200mm, 1x 120mm
GPU: 560Ti

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet cooler

Pros: Comes with a tube of thermal paste.

Cons: Low air flow. This is kinda a fact of life for a cooler this quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat sized cooler for HTPC cases

Pros: - Great cooling ability while still being more compact than similar coolers.

- Fits in a Silverstone GD08B perfectly.

- Very easy installation. Only negative part about it is the need to remove the motherboard to install the backplate, but honestly I like coolers with the backplate as opposed to ones with the cheap plastic clips.

- Included fans are very quiet. I ended up switching them for PWM (4-pin) fans in order to keep my HTPC as quiet as possible, but the stock ones will do fine. I'm actually using the included fans in my HAF X and my system has about the same noise level.

Cons: - Cannot use ram with heatspreaders. Not really a con since heatspreaders are more for show than anything else, but be warned that any heatspreaders will cause it to bump into the the 'push' fan. I'm using Corsair Vengeance LP and they do fit, but literally have maybe 1-2mm of clearance. Ripjaws, regular Vengeance, etc, will NOT FIT if you plan to use both fans in a push-pull config. Just a heads up.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cooler

Pros: The only 4 pipe 92mm cooler I have found - brackets are quality - has everything you need to install even a screwdriver! FIts my M/B - clears the ram..

Cons: The 92mm Noctua fans may be great but for my use here in southern AZ they would not do so well - went with a fan with more air flow 106 CFM.

Other Thoughts: This cooler is a quality product but I still lapped the base - was slightly concave but was the best I have seen only took an hour to get flat.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and Cool!

Pros: Quiet, Cool, and Awesome. My stock heatsink and fan rand my CPU at 30 degrees Celsius on average, and 40 on a full load, so I've never had an issue with heat; however, the CPU fan in combination with the other PC fans in my system were too loud. I do a lot of voice-over work, and it's a pain to have to edit out the fan noise. These in combination with some Noctua 120mm fans decreased the overall noise from my computer a good 70 percent or so using the low-noise adapters they came with. Not only that, the average temperature on my CPU has dropped a few degrees Celsius - awesome.

Cons: It's not a con in performance, but I wish they came in black to preserve the overall uniformity inside my case. Everything in my case is black and blue, and this giant thing is beige and brown.

Other Thoughts: The color scheme would be a bigger deal to me if my case had a side panel window. Mine only has a see-through mesh, which at the moment is against a wall, so no big deal. I would hope that Noctua gives their customers a listen, however, and start producing some all black fans.

4 out of 5 eggsEfficient Cooler - Questionable Fans

Pros: I chose this cooler for a desktop horizontally-oriented pc, so a shorter cooler was required, and Noctua makes excellent products. I have it mounted on an ASUS F1-A75-M Pro mATX MB. Keeps the idle temps around 32C and under full load temps at max 45C no over-clocking. So, it's doing a fine job.

Cons: My only con has to do with the fans...they're not 4-pin PWM fans. Now I know some motherboards can adjust voltage to control fans speed, but not all can. Of course you don't know until you try it. Of course mine does not, and I had to purchase new 4-pin PWM fans and now I have a much quieter pc. Noctua makes 92mm 4-pin PWM fans that would work fine, why don't they just use those in their CPU cooler kit instead of the 3-pin connector fans? C'mon Noctua!

Other Thoughts: Fan mounting could be figured out to not interfere with the first memory slot. I expected this problem, so I only bought two mem sticks and use A2/B2 dual channel slots, but it would be nice if I could use all 4 slots if I wanted to.
