5 out of 5 eggsWoah

Pros: Quiet
Keeps the CPU cool even while overclocking
Very good design
Great packaging and parts
Instructions were clear and informative

Cons: Honestly the only thing I don't like and it's a little gripe is the colour of the fans, but that's just me.

Other Thoughts: First time buying from Noctua and I gotta say they've made a fan of me. Great product and a lot of steps were taken to ensure your cooler would be quiet and some of the things they've done I would of never thought of myself. If you're looking for a quiet but excellent air cooler this one takes the cake. (No it is not a lie, this time.)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler!

Pros: This cooler works great! I'm using it in a norco 450b case cooling an i7-860 and haven't had any issues. With a single 92mm fan I'm seeing around 45 degree coretemps under 100% load for 30+ minutes!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsBest of both worlds

Pros: Quiet, you'll never hear it. Having two fans over the one I got with my generic Rocketfish cooler is good, but having two Noctua fans is even better.

Cons: The only real possible setback for many enthusiasts would be that the cooler does not allocate space for high profile RAM.

Other Thoughts: Mounting it was very odd. The whole "attach metal rods" and "manually put small strips of gel onto the cooler" bits was weird, but Noctua knows best, and after seeing the results, it makes sense, as the cooler won't make offputting vibrations within the system.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality and Performance!

Pros: This cooler is a great option for those who don't want to spend a lot on a cooler or they are cramped for space in a mid tower case. It is considerably bigger than my stock AMD cooler I have been using, however, I was not wanting to risk getting a 120 mm cooler and having it stick into my side panel. (For those wondering, my case is about 8 inches wide) This cooler is a happy medium.

As far as quality goes, it cannot be beat. Noctua packages their coolers in a way that prohibits any shaking and rattling inside the box during shipping. The components are also made with quality in mind. The mounting brackets are made with steel that could carry hundreds of pounds. I also did what I call a squeeze test with the fans. I place my thumb on one side of the fan housing with my fingers on the opposite side and gave it a squeeze. Some fan housings will bend to the point where it can rub against the fan blades. The Noctua fans didn't flex a single bit. Everything about this cooler screams quality.

Installing the cooler was so easy that I was able to install it without removing my motherboard with all of my 4 case fans installed. Installation took 20 minutes, however I took my time since I hadn't installed an aftermarket heat sink before. (I didn't want to mess up the thermal paste.)

Finally, I would like to say that the performance this cooler has to offer is out of this world. Temps on my A10 5800k APU ranged in the Mid 60's Celsius (63-66) with the stock heatsink. The APU was mildly overclocked to 4.3 GHz with the IGPU overclocked to about 900 MHz. The temps rose enough for my ASUS motherboard to shoot me a warning. After installing the cooler, initial gaming tests on Arma 2 OA, Battlefield 3, Borderlands 2, and Skyrim got the APU to 45 degrees Celsius. A 20 degree Celsius drop in temp! Those tests were also conducted when there were record temps in Vermont of 96 degrees Fahrenheit outside. It was about 80 where my computer was sitting. Needless to say this heat sink can beat the heat. I definitely recommend this heat sink to anybody looking for a quality budget heat sink.

Cons: I wish that the 92mm fans that came with this heat sink had PWM connectors. It isn't a big deal though because it comes with supplied low noise adapters. Besides, even at max speed these fans a very quiet.

I also wish that Noctua would include mounting hardware so that I can orient the cooler exhausting out the rear for AMD processors. I understand that you can get it for free but it would be nice to get it in the box. (This is also not a big deal as I have top fans and plenty of clearance from my first PCI express slot and the intake fan.

Other Thoughts: For those complaining about Noctua's color scheme, I look at the tan and brown as a badge of honor and quality. Tan an brown means top of the line in my eyes. That's how should be looked upon as.

4 out of 5 eggsNoctua NH-U9B SE2 92mm SSO CPU Cooler

Pros: Noctua is a good brand for silent CPU Coolers. Dual fans for airflow

Cons: The 4 steel clips were very troublesome to get in. The instructions weren't very clear on how to insert those, had to use Youtube.

Other Thoughts: Won't buy this particular model again, but definitely get their other models

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU cooler

Pros: If you have yet to use a Noctua CPU cooler you have been missing out. This thing was such a pleasure to install with the easy to use mounting bracket, well printed instructions, and includes all the tools necessary (including a tall screwdriver) to do the install.

Cons: The only con would be the price, but in my opinion it was worth every penny simply for the easy to use mounting bracket.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend installing the rubber "anti-vibration" strips for the fans before installing the cooler in the case (it was slightly a pain to do once the cooler was mounted, but certainly not a dealbreaker by any stretch). Make sure you have enough clearance on your RAM, otherwise you can simply slide the fan up a bit or plan on leaving the ram slot closest to your CPU open (at least this is what I did to make room on my ASRock H97 Pro4).

3 out of 5 eggsIt is okay

Pros: Good quality fans, very good heatsink as expected from Noctua.

Cons: The mounting mechanism makes it cumbersome, this is not the best cooler in the market, and it is just an improvement over the stock intel cooler.

Other Thoughts: I only used it with one fan and temps on i5 4670k without overclocking were 75" at room temp.

4 out of 5 eggsTight Fit, cheap fans

Pros: Great quality heat radiator
Nice fit and finish of hardware

Cons: Cheap looking fans
Instructions for install were terrible
Can interfere with other MB components

Other Thoughts: The heat sink itself is amazing and does come with heat sink compound, which I wish I would have known when buying it. The fans are cheap looking, but then again the price is right. I put this on an ASUS P8Z77-V LK with G.SKILL Ripjaws RAM and ran into clearance issues with the second fan. My solutions was to eliminate the fan that blows air over the fins and just have one sucking air from behind which is then blown into a case exhaust fan.

5 out of 5 eggsNo PWM, still extremely cool even with lowest adapter

Pros: +EXTREMELY cool running

My giant 14cm case fans at lowest speed are still louder than both fans installed in push/pull with the ULNA adapters. And with the same adapters, I'm still get sub 75C at 4.4ghz / 1.230 v after a few hours on Prime95. Color me impressed

Cons: -No PWM fans

Other Thoughts: Even without PWM fans and using the ULNA adapters, this this is great. I'm definitely a Noctua fan for life.
