5 out of 5 eggsBest fan money can buy

Pros: Incredibly quiet and smooth. Airflow is fantastic with these fans.

Cons: It's brown, though I myself find that aspect appealing.

Other Thoughts: I'll probably replace the other two fans with these.

5 out of 5 eggsNewegg Does It Again

Pros: I ordered this fan less than 24 hours ago. It is installed and running in my system. Order placed, paid, shipped and delivered with no charge shipping in under 24 hours, NJ to CT. Newegg is the best hands down. I have bought from them for many years and they never disappoint. As to the fan well it is a replacement for the same item on my cpu cooler that had a broken blade. Great fan for any use.

Cons: Nothing more to say.

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggsFirst 140mm Fan!

Pros: What can I say? I use to think fans where fans, that had different speeds. Then I got into Corsair's SP120's, and wanting a 140 (Could not find the AF140 Quiet series, but I also wanted a little faster in RPM's) I went to a different place and got this fan. I am thankful I did! This is crazy quiet (Not that I can tell with 6 other fans, but noise isn't any higher) And I LOVE the fact it fits into a 120mm spot. And I am with the other reviewer, this is a true 140mm fan. The one who doesn't know any better posted a useless review. I find it amazing they could allow a 120mm setup for 140 fan. However, this fan will not fit all 120mm setups.

Cons: The color. But really, it is in the back of the case, (using a CM Storm Stryker) so you'd have to really look to see it. But IMO isn't that ugly.

Price, but really, should we care? We bought it, we knew what it would cost, we knew what we where buying.

Other Thoughts: Being 140mm with the ability to use standard 120mm holes is great. but it is not for all 120mm places. Such as the Cage Bays in the CM Stryker. (Tested is for the heck of it. Compared it to a 120mm fan as well, to big, because of it being round).
Love this fan. Love aussies. Love the guy who didn't think this was a true 140mm fan.

Would almost upgrade my two antec 3 speed 2k rpm 120mm fans for this. (It's on the bottom of the case, could almost fit, due to the 120mm brackets, if it where not for the fact this fan was bigger. Which means i'd have to use 1 :( )

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet

Pros: I took the blue pill

Cons: Not PWM but with the 2 resistor adapters who cares. They are kind of expensive but I would still buy more!

Other Thoughts: I bought this fan to build a silent PC... what can I say.... wow! It is very quiet. I've only run it with the ultra-quiet (blue) adapter but even so the airflow is sufficient to keep my PC cool while almost being completely silent. Why did I wait so long to buy these?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Extremely quiet fan.

It's 140mm, so it moves the same amount of air with less RPM/noise or more air for better cooling with regular noise levels.

It fits both 120mm and 140mm mounting holes. To put them on 140mm you can use the supplied adapter

Comes with 2 resistor adapters to adjust speed and noise levels according to personal preference. (See cons for PWM)

Sleeved cables for a better look in your case and less obstruction of air flow.

Good quality rubber grommets to install the fan without the use of screws to reduce noise and vibration levels of the computer even more.

Cons: The fan has a round exterior which can cause some false air to escape through the area where otherwise the corners would be if you place these in a square mounting mesh.

If you are on a tight budget the price could set you off and you might be better off with a slightly cheaper product. Don't be fooled though, these are some of the best fans on the market as of today.

The fan does not support PWM. For me personally this is not a con because I'm installing them with the ultra low noise adapters anyway, but for some people this might be an issue that they shouldn't overlook before shelling out $30 for these fans.

Other Thoughts: The review of 1/31/2013 7:57:12 AM states it's a 120mm fan with 140mm mounting holes (and took off 2 eggs for that) but I'm guessing this person either doesn't have a ruler to measure that these fans are in fact 140mm or he's writing about a different product.

Some people are complaining about the color of the fans. I suppose you would be right if you have a case with a window, but this product is geared towards performance and not looks so it's a trade off you will have to make.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat fan

Pros: Quiet (with included resistor)
Adapters are easy and secure
Moves air better than stock (even with resistor)
Colors work well with my case (Nmediapc 8000)

Cons: Hardly a con but fan is audible at full speed (the horror!)
Colors are not for all aesthetics

3 out of 5 eggsA 120mm fan with adapters for 140mm

Pros: Nice fan design. Packaging is great. Lots of accessories included for mounting to various opening sizes.

Cons: Not really a 140mm fan. When shopping on Newegg for this item, I selected the "140mm" filter. Expected to find ONLY 140mm fans. Nope! This little jewel pops up as a 140mm fan when it is ACTUALLY 120mm. Some adapters from Noctuna allow you to mount it to 140mm mount points. But is certainly NOT a 140mm fan. I bought it here and was surprised to receive a 120mm fan. Hey Newegg! You got any 100mm fans with adapters for 140mm mounting? Why not put them in the 140mm filter too!? Absolutely stupid marketing ploy. A 140mm fan is supposed to BE a 140mm fan!!

Other Thoughts: The hardware to mount this fan is very complete. It has screws and soft rubberized mounts included so as to minize vibration transferred to the case. Seems to run nicely once properly installed and moves air decently. I have a total of 4 fans in my Fractal Design R4. This fan is my exhaust exit fan, facing the rear of the case. Otherwise I have 1x120mm fan attached to my water cooling radiator and 2x140mm fans in the front of the case pushing air in across the HDDs.

Point being, I can't say this fan is great sound wise because there are 3 other fans in the case that are contributing to the noise level. I'm sure it is quiet. Hey, I could replace all my fans for these Noctuna NF-P14's and REDUCE the fan size at the front of the case! (Remember .. they are 120mm fans, not 140mm!). Okay. Enough complaining. Two eggs off for shoddy marketing practices and the fact that is NOT actually a 140mm fan.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: super quiet / moves a lot of air...

Cons: the product itself has no cons

Other Thoughts: i ran into a little trouble with my configuration with this fan.

Im using a corsair 550d case with a zotac gtx 570 and seasonc x850 psu

when i place my noctua fan into the lower slot on the side of the case, the side door has trouble closing. the fan pushes on my power cable for the video card. this is probably one of those unique combination of parts that gives you a little trouble and not an individual component problem.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for intended use, worthless for a desk fan

Pros: Quiet, well built. I would count the fact it uses 120mm grills/ mounting holes a plus, though others may not. Moves sufficient air for just about any PC within reason.

Cons: A little bit pricy, but you do get extra value for your extra money here.

As a lark, I set the fan up with a base, grill, and 12v adapter for use as a small desk fan for my nightstand-- every desk fan I've bought was always too loud for me in bed. This fan was plenty quiet even at top speed, but it couldn't move enough air to keep my face cool at a couple of feet away. That isn't its intended use so I won't take an egg off for that.

Other Thoughts: Wish I could find a nearly silent desk fan!

5 out of 5 eggsNoctua products are the best

Pros: very low noise, easy mounting, long sleeved cables, moves air very good

Cons: none at all

Other Thoughts: bought 2 of these too mount in the top of my Corsair C70 Vengeance case and they really move the heat out without any noise, I also have 2 of their 120mm NF-F12 PWM for front intake so the set works very good together, 2 Noctua 120mm in and 2 Noctua 140mm out, best combo you can get too cool your system.
