Combining a massive six heatpipe dual radiator design with an exquisite NF-P14/NF-P12 dual fan configuration, the NH-D14 is built for ultimate quiet cooling performance. Topped off with a tube of Noctua’s award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound as well as the new SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, the NH-D14 is an elite choice for the highest demands in premium quality quiet cooling.

  • newegg 6 Heatpipe Dual Radiator Design Providing more surface area, better heat-distribution and superior airflow efficiency than conventional tower style heatsinks, the NH-D14’s six heatpipe dual radiator design was developed to provide ultimate quiet cooling performance in dual fan mode.
  • newegg Dual NF-P14/NF-P12 Fan Setup The NH-D14 sports a premium quality dual fan setup consisting of Noctua’s award-winning NF-P12 (120mm) and NF-P14 (140mm) fans, both of which feature Vortex-Control Notches, SCD technology and SSO-Bearings in order to achieve a perfect balance of performance and quietness.

5 out of 5 eggsOh Yeah !!!

Pros: Immediately the temps and noise are lower compared to my old cooler, which were good but not this good. thermal grease which comes packaged is great and there's plenty more for re-do's. install was much easier than expected. I have fans maxed and it's still quiet! It fit in my mid tower with not much room to spare

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: AMD FX 8350 at 4.1 ghz idle 17c. haven't checked load temps but hey!!

4 out of 5 eggsMy Mistake

Pros: Looks like it a cooling Beast, All the reviews say its better then most water solutions.

Cons: Had to send it back - DOES NOT FIT Antec P193 V3 Case (My bad case description indicates 140mm largest size)
1 star because it is just soooo massive.

Other Thoughts: If Size matters then this thing matters most

5 out of 5 eggsColder than ice cold

Pros: Huge, keeps everything in its path cold. It will keep your CPU at room temperature until you reach 75% usuage on i7 3770k, then it goes up about 10*

Cons: Huge, can block airflow in smaller cases.

5 out of 5 eggsBest available!

Pros: 1. 2 fans
2. Ultra Low Noise adapters
3. Quality material
4. Easy installation, a kid can do it
5. Instructions make perfect sense!

Cons: 1. This is the best cooler I've ever seen. They aren't playing games like other companies with weird mounting brackets, etc. This is steel or whatever, I couldn't bend the brackets if I tried. The heatsinks are gigantic and amazing.

Other Thoughts: 3770k @ 4.8GHz @ 1.300 Core Voltage @ 80C full load. I had another cooler that kept it around 85C however this is still a great improvement and also it's so quiet I can not tell it's running (using the adapters).

I need to mention this WILL fit into a mid-tower like the Source 220. It fits but when you get it the 140mm fan is mounted to high so will impact the side of your case, just re-adjust it's position further down toward the heatsink and it is actually lower than the 120mm fan! It fits! INCREDIBLE

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding

Pros: Packaging is neat and tidy. Comes with very simple instructions, all the screws you'll need, and even a very nicely made screw driver. Oh! And a neat little emblem you can put on your case :)

Ice cold CPU

Packaged with Noctua's high-end 120 and 140mm fans, which is a nice touch.

Cons: Sharp! Be careful when you have your fingers near the heatsinks of this baby. Slicing your finger open is part of the quest.

This sucker is HEAVY. Not ideal for people who move their system around a lot. If you drop your computer I fully expect the mainboard to snap from the weight of this heatsink. It's insanely awkward to fit into the mobo, and I highly advise against trying to install it when the motherboard is already mounted in the case.

Other Thoughts: Specs:
i5 2500k OC'd to 4Ghz
under 100% stress test with intel's extreme tuner, I never go over 60c

I have a NZXT Phantom full tower and the clearance is not an issue. I also have two top 200mm fans with the innermost fan as intake, and the outermost fan as exhaust. The 140mm fan is on the right side of the heatsink and is pointed for intake.

All in all, this was a great step-up from my Corsair H60 which was defective.

Cons: Huge, but i new it was when i ordered. Not really a con.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, cold, and gigantic

Pros: Makes your CPU run COLD! A coworker of mine runs liquid cooling on his box and I am able to clock my CPU just slightly higher: I'm at 2.14V and 4.6 GHz on a 3770K! With Folding@Home running for a while, it peaks out at 44C. Without overclocking, the CPU sits in the 20s.

The thing is also very, very, very nicely made. You would have to be cynical to complain about the quality. Not to mention the presentation of the unit is quite something! There's a nicely-cut envelope with two assembly instruction manuals on the inside for AMD and Intel. All the parts are nicely separated and includes a near lifetime supply of thermal grease. Did I mention that the case badge it comes with is made of metal?

Oh another thing: it's absurdly quiet. All the time. All my other fans are louder than this cooler.

Cons: Could be too large for your case, so check into it first!

Other Thoughts: A lot of people are concerned if this thing will fit on their motherboard, and Noctua has actually checked this across hundreds of motherboards and details this data on their website! Check it here:

5 out of 5 eggsTOL Air cooler

Pros: Consistently among the highest rated air coolers. Very very quiet fans.

Cons: 3 pin fans (no PWM). One of the largest twin/tower coolers.

Be very sure to check fit/clearance before mating this to your case/motherboard/memory! This is important!!!

OTOH, high profile memory coolers aren't necessary with 1.5v DIMMs, and are there mostly for vanity/marketing. Go with a low profile DIMM and you'll be fine.

Other Thoughts: Think long and hard before you go liquid. Most, if not all sealed cooling kits will NOT out perform the best air coolers, plus they are NOT quieter. In fact, most H2O coolers are noisier due to the fluid pumps, and even more noticeable if you choose to mount the radiator externally.

The only real advantage of sealed coolers ATM, is size, and therefore less stress on the mobo/cpu during moving/shipping of an assembled rig, which really only applies to portable lan-party gaming rigs.
