Combining a massive six heatpipe dual radiator design with an exquisite NF-P14/NF-P12 dual fan configuration, the NH-D14 is built for ultimate quiet cooling performance. Topped off with a tube of Noctua’s award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound as well as the new SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, the NH-D14 is an elite choice for the highest demands in premium quality quiet cooling.

  • newegg 6 Heatpipe Dual Radiator Design Providing more surface area, better heat-distribution and superior airflow efficiency than conventional tower style heatsinks, the NH-D14’s six heatpipe dual radiator design was developed to provide ultimate quiet cooling performance in dual fan mode.
  • newegg Dual NF-P14/NF-P12 Fan Setup The NH-D14 sports a premium quality dual fan setup consisting of Noctua’s award-winning NF-P12 (120mm) and NF-P14 (140mm) fans, both of which feature Vortex-Control Notches, SCD technology and SSO-Bearings in order to achieve a perfect balance of performance and quietness.

5 out of 5 eggsA total beast.

Pros: Fantastic instruction manual. It will allow you to overclock the bajeezus out your CPU with it's massive heat sinks and high quality Noctua fans wedged right in the mix. It also has a nice aesthetic to the design. Pair this with more Noctua case fans and you'll have great airflow.

Cons: This component is GARGANTUAN. Do not install RAM with tall heat spreaders. It clears my G. Skill Ripjaws ram by about 3/8", which has a medium height heat spreader. Some of that high end Corsair ram out there will probably not fit.

Other Thoughts: I've never installed a CPU cooler of this magnitude before. It's a difficult and awkward piece to handle

5 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: This is the best CPU cooler I've ever owned I installed it on my i7-920 CO that I have overclocked to 3.4 GHz and it dropped my temps from an average of 50C idle with a xigamatic tower cooler with 2 cougar 120mm fans down to 38C and it also dropped my load temps (Prime95 1hr) from 81C to a max of 65C.

While this cooler is absolutely enormous and very expensive for an air cooler it is definitely worth every penny if you are not willing to dish out the extra $100-$200 for a full blown water cooling system. It holds its own against any of the all-in-one water coolers without the worry of leaks and it is quietest set of fans in my computer.

Cons: None if you make sure it will fit before ordering

Other Thoughts: This is a huge cooler so make sure it fits before you order it. If you don't have a full tower case or you have RAM with enormous (unnecessary) heatsinks this cooler will not fit so order with caution.

For everyone with a Large enough case I would 100% recommend this cooler.

3 out of 5 eggsCheers

Pros: Nearly silent when compared to the stock AMD cooler I had before.

Fans are built well. A slightly smaller 120mm secondary fan is definitely a good idea for something this large.

Cools well. Temperatures with stock cooler were 45c-50c idle (Fairly hot room) but with this fan they are now between 30c-35c idle.

Overall good design albeit too big.

Cons: I'm not able to use 4 sticks of ram with this cooler which is disappointing because I had specifically checked to see if my motherboard was compatible.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm satisfied for $70.

5 out of 5 eggsTo BIG For My CASE

Pros: It get the job done after reviewing videos and benchmarks

Cons: Make sure to check your case and your ram, you must have low profiles ram.

Other Thoughts: To bad it didnt fit, but I went ahead and ordered the H100i and I can say so far I am loving it is more compact plus it looks pretty awesome on my Asus Rampage IV Extreme Mobo. So since I never installed it I can't take an egg off =)

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Customer Service

Pros: I received this HSF as a gift and it didn't have the mounting kit in the box. Noctua mailed me the mounting kit free of charge with me only giving them a picture of the heatsink.

Cons: None. This is easily the best heatsink I've ever used and that's the best customer service I've ever gotten.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!!

Pros: Amazing cooling and very quiet. Upgraded from an Antec KUHLER box High-performance. I dropped 8 degrees Celsius and down to a mere whisper in fan noise. The quick-detach fans were a stroke of genius considering the size of this heat sink.

Cons: This is an extremely large heat sink. The box it comes in makes you give second thoughts. :-P

Other Thoughts: The detachable fans made it very easy to instal the unit as well as replace the RAM. Others have said it outperforms many water cooling units. I have no experience with water cooling, but in all my previous builds, I have never faced a more simple, non-OEM, installation then this one. My Latest Build:

5 out of 5 eggsGreat aftermarket Cooler

Pros: Just like everyone said it's the best on the market, couldn't be happier. Put this on my OC'd i5 2750 with 4.2ghz and a cool 30C idle. Very easy to install, moron proof. Money well spent!

Cons: It is a little big but if you have the right case it's irrelevant.

Other Thoughts: Couldn't be happier.

5 out of 5 eggsOut performs low end closed loop water coolers!

Pros: Straight forward installation. Quiet operation even at full speeds. Very versatile design. Decent fans, best combination between air flow and noise.

Cons: Only 3-pin fans, could have come with an extra 120mm fan for all side coverage, and could have used 4 more vibration isolation for the third fan install. Does not ship with AMD back-plate. I luckily figured out with a combination of the Intel and AMD mounting parts I could still utilize the back-plate I did have. It does however say that if you contact the company they will send one to you, but I didn't want to wait another week to install this.

Other Thoughts: Recommend ordering higher CFM fans if your gonna use this as a extreme overclock cooling solution.

Used thermal paste that came with product.

Cold start temps dropped 21 Degrees C. After burn-In temps were lowered by 7-10 degrees C. Max temp burn-in went from 38 sec to max temp from idle to 10 min to max temp from idle.

Running a AMD 1090T Black @ 4.03Ghz 1.5v w/ ASUS Sabertooth 990FX original revision in an Anec LanBoy case.

Expecting another 1-5 degree drop once burn/cure time finishes.

5 out of 5 eggsI want one!

Pros: My buddy bought this for his new gaming rig he built. Wow this thing is massive! but the temperatures are amazing, surface area for heat dissipation is key, and thing has a lot of it. Idling my buddy's 3570k overclocked to 4.5 runs at 20C, not sure what at under full load.

Cons: Not free?
