Combining a massive six heatpipe dual radiator design with an exquisite NF-P14/NF-P12 dual fan configuration, the NH-D14 is built for ultimate quiet cooling performance. Topped off with a tube of Noctua’s award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound as well as the new SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, the NH-D14 is an elite choice for the highest demands in premium quality quiet cooling.

  • newegg Six Heatpipe Dual Radiator Design Providing more surface area, better heat-distribution, and superior airflow efficiency than conventional tower style heatsinks, the NH-D14’s six heatpipe dual-radiator design was developed to provide the ultimate quiet cooling performance in dual-fan mode.
  • newegg Dual NF-P14/NF-P12 Fan Setup The NH-D14 sports a premium quality dual fan setup consisting of Noctua’s award-winning NF-P12 (120mm) and NF-P14 (140mm) fans, both of which feature Vortex-Control Notches, SCD technology, and SSO-Bearings in order to achieve the perfect balance of performance and quietness.

5 out of 5 eggsBIG and quiet

Pros: Nice looking (if you aint a color matching freak)

My computer is never running full tilt but it seems to keep it nice and cool while being nearly silent. (if not entirely silent.. I only hear my case fans)

Cons: Just make sure it fits your situation because it seems pretty large.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good.

Pros: Low load temps. overclocked my i7-930 to about 3.8 and on load hits about 68-72.

Cons: high idle temps at stock.
pretty beefy cooler but that's to be expected.
ugly fans (but some of the best out there)

Other Thoughts: idk the idle temps could be an issue on my end but i kinda had high hopes to drop from like 35 to 27 ish but overall an amazing cooler. switched from a hyper 212 evo and already see the difference. Woulda got a nh-d15 if it fit but d14 is pretty amazing. would reccomend

5 out of 5 eggsSize Matters...

Pros: High quality fan. Large, but no issues with clearance at all. I think it is because my case is a little larger than a standard mid case. I have the Zalman GT1000 case.

I have the G.Skill Ripjaw V memory and I had to make sure the outer fan (120mm) cleared the top of it. The 120 mm fan barely clears it, but you can adjust it to clip to go a little higher without airflow issues.

Cons: None. Just make sure you have enough clearance on all sides. Including clearance from components like RAM and heatspreaders.

One gripe (not a product issue). This item shipped from the East Coast and took an extra day to get to the West Coast where I live. I expected it to ship from CA where Newegg is located. I have been shopping at newegg for years and this was the first time this has happened and not thrilled about it.

Other Thoughts: Intel i5-6600k
ASRock Z170 K6
G.Skill Ripjaw V DDR4 2400 16GB
Samsung 950 Pro M.2 512GB

5 out of 5 eggsAfter so many years still one of the best Air coolers

Pros: Amazing performance
Mounting the heatsink without fans is easy

Cons: Price
installing fans on heatsink is a pain

Other Thoughts: Amazing heatsink, but size can really make install and upgrades in the case difficult

5 out of 5 eggscool as a cucumber

Pros: Awesome. Been using the stock cooler for an old i5 & wanted something i can use when i come to upgrade to an i7. The stock cooler was terrible & my system would often overheat & force close or blue screen of death with temps up around the high 80c's. Now, with the help of better airflow management from an awesome phantex case my cpu rarely goes over 30c's.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if others have realised that the fans can be raised to increase the clearance beneath this behemeth, which i had to do & found it a close call between closing the lid on a full sixe atx case & clearing my standard size ram runing in channels 1& 3. (0 & 2 get the low profile sticks, phew!). Because of this my next upgrade will be a full size atx to accomodate this beast ;-)

5 out of 5 eggsI want to marry this cooler and have its babies.

Pros: 9C idle temperature. 'Nuff said. My FX-8150 8 core with stock cooling was constantly overheating. With idle temps in the low 30's it would peak under load (at about 81C) and shut down. With the DH-14 installed, I can transcode video with all 8 cores running full out and it barely tops 35C.

The instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

Cons: DH-14 is big (yeah, yeah yeah).
It's not small (no, no, no).
But you probably already knew that. Do your homework ahead of time and take measurements of the inside of your case. Noctura's website has a handy guide to help you measure your case and I highly recommend using that. It fit in my case - barely - with some creative cable management.

Other Thoughts: This was suprisingly easy to install. It's such a bohemoth that I was expecting a nightmare. You are most likely going to have to take your motherboard out of the case and reinstall it. After I got the motherboard back in, I realized that I would need little elf hands to connect the 8 pin ATX plug because it was sandwiched between the heatsink and power supply. I had to take the board back out, plug in the connect and reinstall the board.
Definitely plan ahead of time to make sure you don't have any irritating surprises.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality CPU Cooler

Pros: This CPU cooler is whisper quiet. Whisper quiet meaning that while you can hear it if you are listening for it, I consider it a very quiet device. Even when I encode video on my system with Handbrake this CPU cooler did not even spin up all that much faster or make noise. I was very impressed.

Cons: This is obviously a very big CPU cooler. With that being said this is not for someone who is using ram with massive heat sinks. The manufacturer does list both motherboard and RAM compatibility so you should check for your make and model of your motherboard and RAM for your system.

Other Thoughts: My i7 4790k system is running between 28c and 30c at idle. When encoding 30gb MKV files in Handbrake the temps on my CPU rise no more than 58c. While keeping my system relatively cool, my system is also very quiet as well so I can't ask for anything more. I'm very pleased with my purchase and I highly recommend this product to others who are on the fence on getting this product.

5 out of 5 eggsWhoa!

Pros: Plenty of surface area to dissipate heat.
Comes with sturdy brackets for mounting.
Comes with its own thermal compound.
Is very quiet.
High quality fans.

Cons: Size can be a con. See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: It is huge! It extends over the memory, over the CPU fan terminals, over the ATX power terminal. It nearly touches the side, back and top of the case. Plug in everything below its footprint first, and don't plan on a side fan if you have an average mid-tower case.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent performance solution

Pros: *Less expensive than a liquid cooling solution, but just as effective

*Very quiet, can barely hear either fan running even when the CPU is under load

*It's universal design makes it a sustainable component for any future upgrades that require a chipset change

*Very effective cooling with the dual-fan, twin-radiator design. Running Diablo 3, Skyrim, and Borderlands maxed out at 5760x1080 resolution only brings the temp up to 34 (using the Skylake i7 6700k)

*Can be oriented for rear, or top ventilation

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: It's probably a little too big for a Micro-ATX board. The design is such that the radiator fins are just above ram stick closest to the CPU, but that's on my full size ATX (ASRock Z170 Pro4), so I'd recommend something smaller for a micro-ATX board.

5 out of 5 eggsNegative remarks.

Pros: I7 2700k at 4.8G PRIME 95 heat and power usage load temp is 62c idle temp is 28-30c room temp is kept at 74 Fahrenheit or 24 Celsius.

Cons: You will need a full atx case and low profile memory. This is a big heat sink and takes up a lot of room.

Other Thoughts: Do your homework and stop giving a product a bad rap if your the problem. I see this a lot on all kinds of devices.
